It's got a pretty steep learning curve, with no way to really learn the game without diving into a match.

You're in a big map either solo or with a partner hunting big monsters. The other people/teams on the map are also hunting big monsters, and you're competing in a race to hunt the monsters down. You can kill each other in that competition.

First, you start with a set of randomly generated hunters with maybe some of the passives already unlocked and thei gear. Some are shittier but cheaper, some are not. You "hire" the hunter and pay for them. Then you enter the map alongside a partner.

The objective is to hunt one of two big monsters and take their remnants as trophy. But there are other teams looking for the trophy. Also other low tier zombies and shit around. If you die you lose the character, but if you make it out alive AND with the prize you win a big bonus and can level them up and buy fancier, non shitty weapons for him.

Each time you go for hunting it could be the last run for that character. Sometimes you just can't keep up the big prize and it's better to just GTFO without dying. Or you can hunt down the hunters and take it from them once they've dealt with the boss.
