I think I'm satisfied

excelent taste my friend

Here's my haul thus far. Might grab a Steam giftcard with some birthday cash and grab a few more games tomorrow. Overall I'm pretty happy, outside of two or three full priced new games a year the sales are a time to load up my backlog with stuff from my wishlist.

Attached: sales2019summer.png (612x628, 163K)

Buy Borderlands bundle or Witcher 3? Both are a really good deal

Borderlands

Eu4 with the dlc is awesome, never buy their dlc full price lol

Personally I find Borderlands insanely overrated, even playing strictly co-op with friends. If you can only get one, go for Witcher 3.

Bought Yakuza 0 and Katana Zero and refunded both, im tired gamer now.

Time to take up checkers in the park and bocce ball

Is Squad good yet? I want a new multiplayer game.

should i just get the rest of shantae? never touched the series before

Attached: steamcart.png (649x642, 168K)

>never touched the series before
keep it that way

Thinking of getting the yakuza remake, good idea or bad idea?

So which of the RE games are worth it never played any of them

I'm at 10,500 tokens after only buying Kingdom Come Deliverance and the DLC. How can I get the remaining 4,500 tokens without spending any more money? It's not an issue of points, I have like 40,000 points from achievements, but I can only claim 100 of them at a time.

If you're still looking for Mecha games, here's 10 lesser known gems on sale you guys may enjoy; most of which have gotten recent updates:

>Hardcore Mecha ($16.99 usd)
It's a 2D platformer shoot-em-up that has finally received a long awaited translation and release. Sadly a lot of the sizable cast is behind backer codes you have to use to unlock the mechs. That are only usable in vs multiplayer. The promised modes that are missing are coming according to devs at least, but despite the hiccups it's still pretty great.
store.steampowered.com/app/746580/HARDCORE_MECHA/

>Zone of the Enders the 2nd Runner: MARS ($14.99)
Yes, ZoE is actually on Steam. It's a 4k port that offers a good blend of melee and ranged combat in a tight story driven chuuni package. Also has barebones VR support for a cockpit view. The game has general audio problems such as it totally dropping out and a bad english VO with no Japanese option. The controls can be a pain, but if you want a nostalgia trip it's decent.
store.steampowered.com/app/650510/ZONE_OF_THE_ENDERS_THE_2nd_RUNNER__MRS/

>Project Nimbus ($14.99)
A stylish high speed anime influenced mecha game with some minor elements of bullet hell. Very fast and frantic, but the lack of customization options is something of a downer. The game originally launched 5 years ago, but the devs still provide updates from time to time. pic related
store.steampowered.com/app/257030/Project_Nimbus_Complete_Edition/

>Brigador ($12.99)
A roguelike hotline miami type affair of explosive violence and solid world building with mechs and other vehicles you use to blow up enemies and the environment to your advantage. The gameplay is good, but the lore is what makes it. Aiming can be a pin in the ass sometimes.
store.steampowered.com/app/274500/Brigador_UpArmored_Edition/

Attached: ss_effde20858a43139bcd69d30dd39cea65bd6c56b.1920x1080.jpg (1920x810, 443K)

REmake, REmake 2, RE4.

REmake, REmake 2, maybe RE Zero, on steam
2,3 on emulator

All mainline ones are good except 6. Start with REmake.

>Garrison: Archangel ($11.99)
Basically the spiritual successor to Custom Robo with quite a wide selection of customization options and tech to learn. It's an early access game and the online multiplayer is regrettably somewhat buggy and empty as a result. The offline gameplay takes some getting used to, but it shines in duels once it clicks. The team is very active and apparently working on a story mode for more single player content. Also its got a free demo (a little outdated for what's in the game now though). pic related
store.steampowered.com/app/682450/Garrison_Archangel/

>War Tech Fighters ($9.99)
It's a slightly more simplistic version of Project Nimbus with a bit more focus on melee elements more or less. Customization is sort of lacking here too, but for a grand scale mech warfare game with some great graphics you could do a lot worse. Devs are still decently active with QOL updates.
store.steampowered.com/app/630030/War_Tech_Fighters/

>Damascus Gear Operation Tokyo & Osaka ($7.49/$13.19)
A diablo-like mecha game with some decent customization to it and a passable story. Combat can be kind of repetitive and at it's core it's a pretty simple game despite its customization options. Has a sequel now with some notable improvements if you want to spend a bit more.
store.steampowered.com/app/648630/Damascus_Gear_Operation_Tokyo_HD/
store.steampowered.com/app/707350/Damascus_Gear_Operation_Osaka_HD_Edition/

>Into the Breach ($7.49)
A good turn based strategy game with a mech theme from the team that brought you FTL. If you enjoyed that you'll probably like this. Has some upgrade and customization options that can lead to interesting strategies. Protip: Don't mess up.
store.steampowered.com/app/590380/Into_the_Breach/

Attached: NOdihDC.jpg (832x468, 90K)

are these any good?

Attached: carrrt.png (676x259, 55K)

>Mecha Ace ($3.89)
A text based adventure; game dev simulator Yea Forums's favorite. A somewhat liniar story with a few branches and a skill system, but your choices have more impact than mass effect at least. If you're a fan of old school text adventures it may be worth a look. It's got a free demo as well and what looks to be a VR focused tie-in in development.
store.steampowered.com/app/318330/Mecha_Ace/

>KO Mech ($0.49)
A simple platformer type game with the gimmick of flinging enemies into one another. Somewhat short, but pretty addictive. Also it's made by someone who shitposts on Yea Forums and for half a buck it's worth selling a few cards and picking up for the absurdly good cost to entertainment ratio. No reason not to get it at this price. Character can be hard to see at times however and some may find the controls odd. pic related

[also Metal Wolf Chaos releases on Aug 6, 2019]
Happy Independence Day!

Attached: ss_5c798149ebb914cc472985404adf84f471cf8526.1920x1080.jpg (1920x1039, 788K)

read about the differences between pc 999 and ds 999 before you play bro. its a botched port

If you play one Shantae game, make it Pirate's Curse, it's a legit good game. RR is fun but it's a DSiWare game so it's extremely short.

I didn't plan to buy anything this summer, but turns out bunch of pretty good indie FPS came out, so whatever

Attached: Clipboard02.jpg (801x61, 4K)

I bought these games so far, might get Forsaken Remastered with the $5 coupon. I feel like I'm rapidly approaching a state in which I've obtained all games that interest me. Soon it will be time to move onto another medium to explore.

Attached: summer sale.png (265x214, 42K)

What think?

Attached: steam.jpg (1080x2043, 310K)

Should I buy Baba is You or wait for it to get cheaper?

Attached: 1553008805928.gif (96x96, 3K)

you need to spend money user

Shantae games aren't particularly great.

Based Mecha poster. Hopefully Hardcore Mecha has all the content by next sale. I'm debating throwing KO Mech into my cart because of its price.

Attached: 1556385216406.png (458x440, 20K)

Witcher 3 is considered game of year or maybe even of a decade. Bordelands is just shoot bullet sponge enemies with bad diablo loot on it.

But hey you probably didnt play witcher 1 and 2 so your experience with the game will be similiar to reading book from middle.

Wanna real game? Get snake pass.

You can get 1000 points from switching teams and anither 2000 points for doing 4 extra quest (which you probably already done). Its 100 points per day only until the end of sale.

Nope

Besiege is closer to technological demo than a game. And heat signature is very... different. Rest is cool.

Attached: 1561871005021.png (864x1173, 157K)

>Besiege
Fuck me, that's a game I haven't seen in a long, long time. I have no idea what it's like in its current state but it's fun as fuck, for sure.

how are the other choices then, solid?

shitty taste.

Good selection. Besiege, if you have the imagination, is fucking amazing in terms of what you can build, but the actual content I find to be pretty lacking.

buy guild wars trilogy or not? is there players to play with? will they close the servers in a year or two?

Looks good to me. Cut Shantae and get a nice cheap haul of good games.

Alright. EYE is a very take it or leave it game, I feel Yea Forums grossly overrates it but it definitely has its charm.

$48.60 for this, I think I'm doing good.

Attached: cart.png (1243x398, 199K)

>Gothic Universe
Gothic 1 is pretty dated and clunky, but once you get hang of controls, it's one of most immersive RPG made. There's community patch that fixes/improves engine for modern hardware and OS.
Gothic 2 is more of above, just bigger and with some polish. Also has community patch.
Gothic 3 is objectively shit RPG, but comes with one of best maps in history of vidya, beautiful and with tons of things to see and find. Download not just community patch, but also quest pack and content mod.

Thanks just doing my part!

I'd highly recommend KO at that price point honestly. Even if you only play for half an hour then decide it's getting repetitive or something it's still a better entertainment value than a movie. Personally I like it.

bought the s.t.a.l.k.e.r series. now i own it cool.

I bought
>into the breach 15 hours
>Dragon's Dogma 2 hours
>Redout Enhanced edition + DLCs 25 mins (this one I like a lot)

I can recommend into the breach if you are into puzzles and mechs, with a little bit of chess
and Redout if you like great soundtracks, wipeout, f-zero and going really fast.

I do need your opinion about For the King and Starbound are they good enough ?

Attached: redout.jpg (460x215, 47K)

My haul:
>Monster Hunter: World
>Hitman 2
>Aragami
>Underrail
>X-COM War of the Chosen
>some Total War DLC

Good sale so far. Might spend another 50 bucks to cut down on my wishlist and I should be set until winter.

Recommend me some low end games please. Anything with as much exploration as Terraria available nowadays?

What did you buy huh?

Battlefront 2 is one of the best Star Wars games

Bought redout last year and will continue to sing it praise. I will forever be asshurt about shattering an old record I had for a track only for the game to crash on the post race screen and wipe the data though.

Yes
Only endgame, but you can play it like a "singleplayer" RPG with AI teammates
No

arx fatalis is 99c
enclave is maybe three bucks
la noire also has a steep discount

don't get ESO. don't even get it for free.

Enjoy it, user, it's really quite good.

Bought:
>mutant league football
>portal bundle
>snk heroine
>Epic battle fantasy 5
I was planning on buying the big games that came out this year like sekiro or re2. But I just don't want to spend $50 on one game. Guess the pirate AAA and buy indie meme is real.

Attached: mein.jpg (289x292, 25K)

No matter how much they changed, the game, the DS version had the slowest text speed in any modern game I've played. And you have to replay the puzzle rooms many times. It's shit, and the PC version fixes that.

heard stalker is only good with mods. is that true? can i just play it as is?

It plays just fine vanilla, user, no worries. My first time through the series I didn't install a single mod for all three games and had a blast.

Should I get Disgaea 5? I'm not so much into SRPGs or grinding, but I know some people really love the series.

People love it for the grinding.

Both RE2 and Sekiro are amazing; I bought both at launch and didn't regret it a single bit.
The majority of indie titles are extremely mediocre; I'll rather buy a single well done big title.

Recommending some 6dof games since no one on Yea Forums ever talks about or suggests them.

I wish there were SMT games on Steam.

>Buying steam games on Summer sale
>Not buying the same games 60% off in other websites

fucking kek.

I really liked DCSS, should I buy caves of qud?

thanks. i hope i can refund it like normal games on steam if i don't like it

Atlus considers PC a cave of thieves (and they're right) so never ever.
Catherine was just a token effort to get Sega out of their backs.

Gotta shill something here.
store.steampowered.com/app/437630/State_of_Mind/
Most of Yea Forums might hate walking sims, but I'm really impressed with this one. Bought it in the last gog sale at the same price.
Well worth checking out for the interesting story.

Sega has been doing more and more ports though. And they own Atlus, so if they want to do it, they can.

I can’t stop buying games.
>RE2 Remake
>RE1HD
>Hitman 2
>Sniper Elite 4 (so much fun, buy this game)
>Hollow Knight
>Undertale
>PUBG
>Witcher 3 GOTY
What am I missing lads? I’ve been looking for an engaging story mode that I’ve never played before. Already beat Witcher 3 several years ago on Xbone. Want something new

Is there anything good for about 2,56 bucks? That's all I have left and I dont feel like wasting it on cards or shit

If anyone wants a fun and cheap top-down shooter (from AGDG on /vg/) my game is finally as cheap as it's going to be. Don't click the pic if you don't want to be shilled to. Tell me what you think of it

On topic, I'm thinking of buying the following and would like reccs:

Mercenary Kings
Salt and Sanctuary
Omega Strike
Environmental Station Alpha (lowbit turns me off)
Metaloid: Origin
Cosmic Star Herorine
Bloodstained: CotM
Pyre (I like Bastion, and Transistor a little less so)
Wonder Boy
Morrow

Attached: hidden_gems.png (988x505, 797K)

I hope you do like it. GW1 has one of the best and most rewarding combat of any game I've played. Just know that the game is only beginning once you hit level cap, and that's where you will start getting enough skills to make awesome build combos.

Should've bought BallisticNG

REmake 1 & 2, Zero, Revelations 1, 4, 5 it is much more enjoyable in co-op but solo isn't bad, 7.

Don't bother with 6.

They own Atlus but they gave them autonomy. Atlus wants to stay away from PC and they will, regardless of Sega's wishes.

Thinking of getting a total war game.

I love Roman shit so maybe Rome 2 but Warhammer also looks very cool cause of the fantasy unit. I don't know shit about warhammer lore.

I heard Three Kingdoms is the best one though.

Which one should i get?

Also someone redpill me on Stellaris ty.

The ZOE port is still fucked up from what I can tell, and Hardcore Mecha is basically half finished, since it has almost none of the shit thats supposed to be in the game.

Is tales of Symphonia any good?

6's mercs is very fun though.

It's alright. But if your goal is not to play all Tales games, might as well buy Vesperia instead since it's more modern.

I liked CrossCode's story, maybe look into that.
Mark of the Ninja also has a pretty cool story.
And I guess Katana ZERO's was interesting, if short.

>Atlus wants to stay away from PC and they will, regardless of Sega's wishes.
Kind of retarded to say this after Catherine. You can keep telling yourself that it was to "keep Sega off their back", but it happened, so it's not literally impossible.

store.steampowered.com/app/365360/Battle_Brothers/
allow me to shill this XCOM/Mount & Blade baby.

It's neither XCOM or Mount & Blade.

CrossCode
Sonic Mania
Battle Chef Brigade

Thank you for the heads up but Im curious why the 6 is not worth the time

Both of the South Park RPG's.

Yep. I try and note positives with negatives. And as much as I love ZoE, that port wasn't the best, but it's still serviceable on the gameplay field. Hardcore though will hopefully have those modes soon as per the devs who insist they're still working on them.

Shogo for instance isn't on the list because it's sadly one of the worst ports I've ever seen to the point where it barely even runs.

>Bloodstained: CotM
Buy this. And the other one if you haven't already.

Because it's shit. Honestly for RE, all you need is 1, 2, and 4.

Didn't notice Forsaken being on sale. Wanted to pick it up on gog, but it wasn't on sale back then.
Thanks buddy

I second this opinion entirely and would add Code Veronica if they had it on PC

It's impossible now because Catherine proved Atlus right.
>Very few people bought it
>It was one of the most pirated titles that month
Now Atlus has all the hard evidence it needed to justify their decision to avoid PC and Sega can do nothing about it.

3 is better than 1 or 2

More forced coop like 5 but with terrible maps and enemies, and twice as many QTEs. Also terrible inventory system. It has grown up Sherry though, that's a big plus.

It's a genuinely horribly designed clusterfuck of a game that tries to do way too much all at once.

If Sega thought they had a trove of money awaiting them on PC, they would cock slap Atlus' fucking brains out in the blink of an eye and all of their games would be on PC overnight.

Stellaris still feels empty and soulless despite "expansions/dlc". If you get it, pirate the DLC.

Get Shogun 2 over Rome, unless you're really into Roman shit. Warhammer is basically total war with fantasy units. You don't need to know Warhammer lore to enjoy it. WH2 is basically an expansion to WH1 which they sold as a new game. See if there is a race you like and buy based on that race.

Three Kingdoms is alright, but you're better off getting Warhammer or Shogun and waiting for Three Kingdoms to get patched and drop in price.

Magic 8-ball, should I get Streets of Rogue?
>youtube.com/watch?v=Bg_ogOrsRY4

7 was a good game too, plus it was standalone except for a cameo at the end

The 3d in RotN just likes like it'll feel slow, does it feel fine in practice?

You clearly don't know what impossible means. Unless Sega is ran by literal monkeys, they'd realize that Atlus' argument makes no sense, since they ported an outdated version of a game, which is already niche. You are creating an entire story of why and how things happened, when we don't know anything. For all we know, they ported a smaller game so they could get the groundwork for bigger ports, and not fuck up when they are porting something that would really sell.

But if you want to keep living in your fantasy world, go ahead.

Nah, 3's a janky as fuck game and it shows. It was made and shit out in a year or so as a B game under Sony's demands that there be another RE because the series was switching consoles.

What's the best realistic shooter out now? Any of the ones below? Something else?

>Squad
>Insurgency Sandstorm
>Escape from Tarkov

The true patrician arrives. Truly /m/ is a blessed board.

Attached: started-down-this-path-photo-u1.jpg (650x654, 36K)

>The 3d in RotN just likes like it'll feel slow, does it feel fine in practice?
Yes, it moves fine in practice. I've never played a Metroidvania I can consider to be "slow", given they're all about exploring every nook and cranny of a large map. Plus towards the end of the game you can get a power that turns you Sanic speed, and it carries over to NG+ as well.

Danganronpa

Attached: 20180801223010_1.jpg (1920x1080, 485K)

Yes, more fun than it looks

This is what i've got so far during the sale.
Don't know what else i should grab.

Attached: Sale.png (480x472, 28K)

Okay thank you very much I try the frist few you mentioned and after that Ill see if I want more and stay away from 6.

>buying all the soundtrack DLCs
Literally why

>Squad
From what I saw, higher quality project reality.
>Insurgency
Weird movement, weird recoil, basically everything for me got fucked the moment they ported Insurgency to Unreal Engine. Not a lot of maps I think, only 4 in rotation if you do push and skirmish only.
>Escape From Tarkov
I hear it's one of those games that you have to git gud at or you'll end up in something of a cruel cycle of eating shit and being unable to get yourself out of that hole. Also there's permaloss or permadeath for your character in a match so you'll have to try hard, go on a hatchet run, or play it safe.

May I interest you in a fine game of Snakebird?

Attached: snakebird.png (1920x1080, 248K)

That's the point; there isn't.

That was Atlus' plan: they knew that the very few PC gamers willing to buy games would be hesitant to buy Catherine when Full Body is coming.
If PC gamers actually wanted Atlus games, they would have buy the "outdated" title regardless of the new version, but they didn't.
If I'm wrong, why isn't Persona 5 Classic on the Steam store?

So why did Steam remove the Specials page?

Makes it hard as fuck to find the best deals

Thank you

Throw in World War 3 as well

It's a bundle that costs as much as if you buy it separated but without soundtrack the artbook. While the soundtrack is useless, the artbook content contains actual gameplay stuff.

How're the updates for the game? Are they decently paced or frequent?

I bought RE1 HD thinking it was a regular third person shooter.
The camera is fucking atrocious. It makes me not want to play the game.

Happy birthday

Seconding witcher 3 and that borderlands is garbage. BL humour is so fucking bad, every quip was made my manchildren I swear. Compared to stuff like lambert and geralt shit talking or the witcher bros getting drunk and crossdressing in front of a mage portal to try to seduce sorceresses, its not even close

>Need 50 cents to get what I want
>No one will buy my useless cards and inventory shit
Fuck
I refuse to pay it myself

Funny, considering Sega keeps releasing all of these Total War games non-stop and Yakuza stuff. Clearly there IS money here.

Fanatical has a bundle of 3 Beamdog games for 8€, you could've had all the games and NWN for less than that bundle costed.

He's probably a zoomer, go easy on him. He's not used to good games

that board should be millenials only

been on the fence for days, but I'm gonna do it Yea Forums
convince me not to

Attached: steamsummer199.png (373x690, 149K)

The bundle has all the dlc in it so it's not a big deal at all.

They do because their shareholders are disconnected from reality and believe that PC is profitable.
I wouldn't be surprised if none of their PC releases made a profit.

Ditch Metro, Space, and Sub, add Underrail back you faggot, and buy the rest with it.

What did I buy? I'll tell you sweetie.
>Dead Space 1
>Thronebreaker The Witcher Tales

Momodora is great. Nice choice

This is my wishlist for the sale, I'm particularly intereted to know if Rocket League and Mordhau are fun enough for 50+ hours play time each.

You mean SoD? It was in fanatical as well.

Sub's been free before and it's walking simulator shit. You young fags and your shitty games sicken me. Go play a real fuckin' game.

based

Mordhau is going to die the second Chiv 2 hits, so don't bother with it. The rest of your list is good so get it.

???
It's $15 on Steam and $29 on GOG.

Steins;Gate for 10€: Worth it?

Or is it one of those very short VNs?

Games to play while watching shit on your 2nd monitor? Post your favorites. Been playing Moonlighter and Bloodstained lately.

Civ

Southpark RPG's are like 80-90% off and good.

Here's my haul so far. I had Everspace since early access days and decided to revisit, the DLC is amazing and adds much needed little side activities to your runs. Would recommend. It also made me buy Gungeon and Heroes of Hammerwatch as it unleashed a rogue-lite itch. Both are solid games, Gungeon is the harder of the two. Good sale, overall, came out with some new fun titles I wouldn't have played otherwise

BallisticNG is some good ass racing. We're having a Yea Forums race this time tomorrow night if you're around. Look out for the thread.

Most Total War games
Gotta have something to do while you wait for your turn

It's not short. And it's worth it if, though if you watched the anime you already know most of it.

nice bait brah.
to add to this the anime is true ending route.

Katana ZERO is short but good, and Messenger is longer and also good. It's a hard choice. Do you like Metroidvania's are more arcadey games? Because ZERO is more arcadey.

The story might be good but the gameplay is pretty bad even for a game of its time

Doom. And not the 2015/16/whenever the fuck it came out one either. Fucking newfags.

The gameplay was good, it just had one too many block sliding puzzles.

Trust me, you'll love this game even more and will play like REmake/Zero HD for pc. I guess a counter point would be that it makes it easier but whatever

It was £4 on epic during the sale

This is my graphics card:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

Are there any good games that I could play on this?

Easily

lmao, take a goddamn shower

still doesn't explain why he should ditch space engine. no, it's not a "real fuckin' game", but in no way shitty.

Is any of this shit worth it?
Also considering Frostpunk for $15.

Yes

>epic store
>£4 is free
why aren't you banned yet?

>Mecha Ace
Bought Choice of Robots, is this one good?

Huh I had no idea it was based on an anime.
I just see the name popping up on best-of VN lists a lot and I've always wanted to check out the genre anyway. Only VN I've ever played is the Katawa Shoujo demo way back when.

Why the actual FUCK isn't Nier Automata on sale? FUCKING SQUARE KIKES.

Attached: 1561030048594.jpg (2668x2169, 1.25M)

when did I say it was free?

it's been 50% off several times you fucking moron. it's a shitty port of a trash game anyway.

You can play like all of them if you have the one with 4GB VRAM?
With varying performance results of course.

i have heard good things about it. i liked choice of magic

Might as well go for Metro, but man, the original 2033 which isn't available anywhere but physical anymore is world's better than the shit redux.

pay attention to what you're replying to, you retarded cumstain. fuck off

I liked them both. KZ is shorter but more bombastic and it's also pretty straightforward not counting dialogue paths, The Messenger is longer and more mellow so to speak, and it kinda opens up the map halfway through.
I guess if I had to choose I'd go with Katana ZERO but maybe I'm biased because it's fresher on my mind.
Interestingly enough, both games are set to get free DLC in the future.

Pirate it without Denovo. Runs better.

can amid evil run on a toaster?
give recommendations for a toaster please

Attached: bern.png (1280x720, 1.45M)

I've played every Shantae in the series except for the original for gbc.

If you like charming platformers where you can transform into animals you'll enjoy the series.

how toasty is your toaster?

I wanted to play Grim Dawn, bought it in a sale a year ago but never tried it.

Saw there was a new DLC "Forgotten gods" i believe, i already have the others, is this essential? Again, haven't played base game or the other DLCs.

You sound upset

Attached: 1559053259525.jpg (480x478, 23K)

The only thing neat that 6 does is weave a good story from multiple other good stories all happening consistently. Everything else, from the game play, inventory, saves, combat, enemy AI and diversity, etc is a huge step back.

suddenly remembered the original now, gonna pirate it instead. thanks for reminding me.

removed Underrail because of your post, faggot :)

What kind of toaster are we talking about?
Specs?

You have any actual benchmarks to back up that statement?

>it was based on an anime.
Other way around. The anime is a pretty good adaptation, but the VN is still the best option.
> Only VN I've ever played is the Katawa Shoujo demo way back when.
Dude, you are missing out on a lot of great titles. VNs have some fantastic stories that are barely talked about because most people have ADHD and don't want to read too much, so I'll give you some other recommendations of accessible VNs in Steam (S;G is great, this is just something extra):

>Phoenix Wright series
Lawyer simulator with player input, since you have to figure out how to solve a case. Not very free, but the gameplay breaks up the reading, and it's extremly fun. You basically have to defend people who are framed for murder most of the time.

>Danganronpa series
More murder mysteries, but in these ones the style is a lot more "weeaboo"ish, though it's basically on purpose since everything aims to be over the top. A group of 15-ish students are stuck in a murder game where they have to kill each other, but in a way that the rest doesn't figure out who it was. Also has a lot of gameplay.

Those two are always enjoyed even by people that don't really read VNs. Other more straight forward long ass VNs on Steam are:

>Umineko no Naku Koro Ni
>Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni
>Clannad
>Little Busters
>Muvluv and Muvluv Alternative

But these are huge time sinks, so I'd recommend getting yourself used to the medium first.

i have an integrated graphics card, probably around the 4000 range
its the one where it doesnt tell you the exact one
on a side note, is the steam version of the jedi knight games fucked?

Good call. The original is so fucking good in so many subtle ways, shame the redux and Last Light casualized the utter shit out of it.

...

This is good advice, I didn't really have the patience to read VNs before playing AA and Danganronpa

Baba is cart is buy

Someone recommend me a quality game, I have $5 left in my wallet

Should I get Heart&Slash or Immortal Redneck? Kinda itching for a roguelite and I've played like all the rest of them that are on steam.

>they are billions is 10% off
really nigger?

I'm only getting two of these. which ones should I get?

Attached: cart.jpg (620x373, 26K)

Any game, as long as you play medium-high.

I run 1050 and it's just fine.

It was 10% before the sale. It's a 10% sale because it recently released at 1.0, not at all because of the Summer Sale, retard.
But you'd know that if you actually followed the game.

I don't give donations to companies.

>hitman
Steam has (mildly) censored games in the Hitman series. They cut out "towelhead" in a drunken rant in a cutscene, and removed religious imagery in a later mission, in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin.
(I don't know if Blood Money is also censored like this.)

Not really.

Frostpunk is worth.

where are giftanons bros

Based on those two top games we have in common, I'd suggest Shovel Knight, Katana ZERO, maybe Sonic Mania if you like the classics.

Dunno lol. As for what you have, Curse of the Moon is a super nice classicvania clone and FFX is a timeless classic so those are fine, but Luna Nights is a very mediocre metroidvania. Probably got nice reviews because of the anime art style, nice animations and good music. As far as actually playing it goes, meh.

Sub to Tyrone.

unless your willing to get into modding, dont bother with fallout 4

>Shovel Knight
Already played it, and love it. Haven't finished beyond Shovel though, since it felt too much like the same game.
>Katana ZERO
Will look into it
>Sonic Mania
I'm interested in buying it someday, but I want to play Sonic 3 first. I've never really been into 2D Sonic.
I was interested in Luna Nights because of the score and art style, could you elaborate on why it's bad? I'm not very convinced yet.

blackedraw

Not him but I guess a problem the game has is that it doesn't actually have that much to make it a metroidvania. It has the map, the secret rooms, all that shit but at the end of the day it's still basically divided into "stages" where you need to beat the bosses in the same order to advance. It's also kinda short. The gameplay itself is good though.

I can't seem to find this video game

It's not bad, just super average. I guess enemy patterns aren't interesting outside bosses, the platforming is kinda bland, and it uses a graze mechanic to recover MP that's not really something that works nicely outside the shmup genre.

>Very few people bought it
Of course, it's a port of an old game

>Haven't finished beyond Shovel though, since it felt too much like the same game
plague has best waifu and the most original movement/attack mechanics, levels are 70% copypasted with a few original ones and new area

spectre of torment is almost entirely original content

Current cart:
Rusty Lake Paradise
Sentry Knight Tactics
DEADBOLT
Dungeon of Zolthan

anything to add/remove?

Yeah, I've played both. Plague didn't get me interested at all, and Spectre was fun, I must've played about 80%. I just couldn't be assed to finish, since it was just fun, but not as much as Shovel Knight the first time through. I just wish YCG would do something really new already.

I just bought a game
do you guys think that the game is good?

If you wanna try Luna Nights, Pharaoh Rebirth is the same developer and 3 dollars.

No.

how much did you spend?

>get Sekiro (1 game)
Or
>get like 5 cheaper games
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Attached: 1562104625496.png (300x234, 109K)

Get 5 cheaper games to tide you until Sekiro is also a cheap game. Easy.

i spend money on game dont know if it was worth it

Can you get the Ending E without Online?

>Steins;Gate
is this a VN? gay lol. the anime sucked btw
>Zero Escape Trilogy
never heard of it
>Baba is You
not my cuppa and easy to pirate but more power to you
>OneShot
same as above
>Sleeping Dogs
aggressively mediocre game. does absolutely nothing well. but worth its cheap price
>Papers Please
same as Baba/Oneshot

its those 5 games are subpar indie trash you prob will end up not playing 4 of them

best deals for games released in 2019?

Honestly probably Sekiro, I'd rather a legit GOTY contender over 5 meh games.

Anyone reccomend a good on-sale co-op game?

>money
refund it immediately

Sekiro is very fun, and it deviates from the Souls formula a lot more than even Bloodborne. It's less free though, so don't go in expecting it to be as much of an RPG as Souls or BB. It feels like a AAA modern version of a PS2 niche Japanese game, in a similar way to Nier Automata.

> I just wish YCG would do something really new already
Well they're -publishing- something new, at least. That Ninja Gaiden/Strider-like game.

I kind of want it but I'm pretty sick of twin stick shooters. Does it play differently enough than those kinds of games?

I bought Rabi-Ribi. It's fucking garbage.

Recommend me some actually good Metroidvanias. Maybe some JRPGs.

Attached: 1543807364182.jpg (480x480, 27K)

so if you own a game in a bundle it subtracts that price and you get a better deal for the other games? thats strange.

Attached: 1560558362151.jpg (1080x1319, 98K)

there's king of cards and a multiplayer game coming SOONtm but not too soon

hope it's good

Rise to Ruins is amazing
The developer is always listening to feedback

Yeah, that's the sort of shit that I don't want them to do. Of course, they have to, since they were stretch goals, but it feels like they've wasted years stuck with Shovel Knight instead of being free to do something new. They could always go back to Shovel Knight in the future, but with how much they've milked it I'm not sure how well received it'd be.

that's how mafia works

Are jannies trannies?
On a side note, buy Transistor if you haven't yet.

Attached: transistor.jpg (333x459, 82K)

It doesn't matter. Old or new, it confirms that PC gamers don't want Atlus games, or at least not paying for them.

Any games like Deus Ex? Already have prey, dishonored and system shock

2nding Rise to Ruins, fun little city management + tower defense game. Dev is really active

Guacamelee
Tales of Berseria

I thought it was Bane from the thumbnail

Want to end my shopping spree on something AAA-ish. Any good buys over $30? Preferably on a decent discount. I'm thinking Super DB Heroes.

Attached: qt.jpg (500x281, 26K)

It's not that much about just shooting things. So yes, it's different enough.

>Guacamelee
Good joke.
>Tales of Berseria
Hmmm,, I might check it out.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode
only like 12 bucks and it's surprisingly good. The combat starts out very simple and progressively opens up, where I'm at (1/4 way through the second game) it's started to get pretty complex and actually fun now.

Also, the game world is honestly really interesting to read about, so even though about 1/3 of the story is devoted to typical weeby melodrama, the rest is engaging enough to stay interested.

how does this look? im still willing to add another maybe 15 dollar game, any recommendations?

Attached: sales.png (611x235, 60K)

Is any of this shit even worth it. I pretty much have all the games that I want now I'm just searching for something that might be fun to play that I dont know of

Attached: wishlist.png (959x627, 299K)

What are some good CRPGs? I already have both Divinities, Pathfinder, and Planescape: Torment.

Attached: 1556760450951.png (681x681, 355K)

>It doesn't matter
Of course it does, a new game will always sell better than a port from an old game
Only time will tell

Kino platformers? I just beat rogue legacy today and it was a lot of fun

no that is all meh games
you did fine

AssCreed is fun. Huge world with a lot of content and Greek setting is decently unique. It has a lot of shitty Ubisoft crap, but it's optional so it won't bother you unless you really care about MTX.

Dragon Age Origins
Kotor 1/2

Avernum/Avadon trilogies, Underrail.

Give me all the CRPG kino you can, I’m on a kick

Is Beamdog’s Gate as bad as I’ve heard or is that just the one obsessed dude?

Have played Arx Fatalis, Thief 1 and 2, or Dark Messiah, they are governed by the same design philosophy?

KCD is the only one i truly enjoyed on that list. FFXV is a very disappointing game. FC5 is similarly, but to a far lesser extent, disappointing. AC Odyssey feels completely soul-less. The NPCs in towns feel like NPCs from early PS2 games. They have no collision, no AI, they're basically props.

>2D

haha oh man underageb&s are hilarious
I guess all the chests with tiny amounts of money in them in Brohood were """"content"""" as well eh?
>implying you aren't too young to have played that

Which of these games should I get?

Attached: 7623t45237.png (629x439, 104K)

VTMB is the closest I can think of when it comes to “hub based, dialogue-driven RPGs”

its just 1 idiot. its a pretty good game and has decent mods out there

Not Sekiro.

The world is almost too big. And the content is repetitive at times, but there is a lot. How can you even disagree with that? It's not on a WRPG's level, but this is an action game with RPG elements, Odyssey is huge by those kind of games' standards.

Brotherhood was a whole lot smaller in every single way, and the """content""" was more repetitive too. The game is crap, and Odyssey is much better. The franchise's name just weighs it down, but it's up there with Black Flag and 2 as the only good AssCreeds.

Divinity: OS 1 and 2
Divinity 2
Divine Divinity
Underrail
Age of Decadence
>Is Beamdog’s Gate as bad as I’ve heard
Yes. Just play the oirginals with a widescreen mod

MHW if you want a game you can sink tons of hours into
Sekiro if you want a hardcore action game
Pathologic if you’re galaxy brained

FFXV if you want to lament the full decade of time and money that went into a game where you watch someone drive a car for 80 hours and hold circle to win

Sekiro and MHW are both amazing.

>How can you even disagree with that?
Simple, I disagree with your definition of "content" and I also disagree with this retarded new age habit of pretending a giant map is automatically good

Can anyone reccomend some good VR games that're on sale?

I bought
GTA III
SA2 + Battle DLC
That's it.

Never played Quake other than Enemy Territory, do they still hold up? Which ones should I get?

It's amazing and every bit as good as the originals, but the OC donuts are quite cringe and out of place.
I can't vouch for dragon spear.

How does MHW run on PC?

>I disagree with your definition of "content"
Have you even played the game? There's a lot more to do than in fucking Brotherhood.
>I also disagree with this retarded new age habit of pretending a giant map is automatically good
I do too. Why do you say this pointless crap that has nothing to do with what I said? I said the map was huge, not that the game was good because of it. Get your head out of your ass, you'll end up looking like a nigger at this rate.

Depends on your PC. What kind of retarded question is that?

Attached: 1470801508681.gif (200x293, 1.81M)

>SpellForce 3
Literally nobody talks about this game but it looks so good. What's with that?

>rayman origins
good platformer

>snake pass
>tiny & big grandpa's leftovers
These are cool new ideas.

I'm asking if capcom did a good job on it fuckhead. It's not always just your PC that matters but how competently it was built for PC.

Yeah in the same way there's a lot to do in Skellige in W3 if you dive for all the smuggler caches
Fuck off underageb&

Anyone here played HEARTBEAT or Metaloid : Origin? How are they?

It's funny seeing a newfag thinking that he fits in by using memewords when he has no arguments. You are pathetic, how's your first week on Yea Forums going?

Is bastion supposed to be really good or something?

What are some games that have a really good magic system?

spellforce is long dead and forgotten. its a shame too because spellforce 3 is genuinely really great fun

Yes, it runs perfectly. Next time be more specific.

I'm just not feeling it this year. With this though I'll have enough points to get a $5 coupon and get resident evil 4 for free at least.

Attached: steam cart.png (621x418, 50K)

Just been binging on shadow of war.
what other great single player games of the same feeling are there out there?

also any good games with a hint of ecchi in it? thanks to 2019 gaming theres less n less sexy chicks and i need my fix.

Monster Hunter World and Sekiro both have amazing gameplay. Monhun has considerably more replay value but it took me quite a few NG+ runs to get tired of Sekiro too.

Give the boy a break, it's his first steamsale and he's trying really hard to be edgy.

Vidya bought so far:
>AMID EVIL
>Bullet Witch
>EVERSPACE + Encounters DLC
>killer7
>Rabi-Ribi + "Is the order a DLC" DLC
>Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
I dunno if there's anything else worth picking up. Most of the games on my wishlist have sad discounts.

>I know you are but what am I?
I couldn't give two shits about your opinion, you lost any credibility by defending a fucking Ubisoft open world
And stop projecting

Fucking A, kid. Be careful, your dad could get angry if he sees you using his credit card too much.

Sure is summer in here

>I really liked DCSS, should I buy caves of qud?
Same question but I'm pondering about both ToME and Qud.

SoW is a surprisingly addictive game. I say that as someone who hates the plot and is a major Tolkien fan.
It manages to take all the good from Ass Creed and Bamham, slap in a few interesting gimmicks and have it all come together quite nicely.

I'm not calling anyone names, only underageb&s are stupid enough to like modern open world games
>epic summer meme
Sup 2012 newfag?

tome is not the same ballpark but i enjoyed it. qud is also worth the buy if you liked DCSS

It has never been on PC so for all intends and purposes it's a new game for them.

>A new game sells better than an old game
Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 prove you wrong

>Time will tell
No need to. We already know that Atlus won't bother with PC again.

DQ11 is solid but the bad quality music fucking ruins everything for me. I hear there's a mod to fix that on PC, however. Definitely regret getting it for PS4 solely because of this.

Is Slay the Spire worth it? I was thinking of getting it on Switch but now it's on sale.

I paid €14,99 for Far Cry 5, so if you're not in a hurry, better wait for that price. I enjoyed the game, but if you have played any recent far cry you know what to expect.

Dungeon Siege 1&2 are 97 cents apiece.

>keeps throwing the memeword around
You are making me nostalgic from when I was your age.

It's a good game. get pc. it has mods that add content

I'm 28. Try harder

What's the best fighting game to get on sale right now? All I have on PC is skullgirls.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Underrail is fantastic if a bit hard to get into since the game is brutal at the start depending on your chosen playstyle.
Max Payne 3 is "alright" but they went way deep into the boring cinematic realism department with constant gameplay interruptions and limited arsenal. If you've played MP1 and 2 it's an okay conclusion if nothing else but otherwise a really generic shooter.

>polish currency
i think that user knows what gothic is about

>Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 prove you wrong
Yeah, VC1 was 20 bucks on PC release and VC4 costs 60$
On top of that VC4 has fucked up regional pricing in certain regions.

Ignore all shantae games except Pirate's Curse.

Give some information on what you like.

>Does Shadow of Mordor count as a modern open world game? I think it's fun.
Yes
>BotW
Yes
Both of these are notorious for having needlessly giant empty worlds with shitty copypasted """content"""
Very funny, but I suppose it might be normal for you underageb&s to post your personal info all over the entire internet

now scientifically proven to be 13. sorry champ 18+. i will call a jannie to escort you out

Most of these are just cosmetics, the only worthy ones are Mass Transit and Industries. Oh, and Disasters obviously.

>Lovely Planet
cute but difficult shooter
>Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers
weird adventure where you cut up the terrain
>LIMBO
creepy 2D platformer
>Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter
horde shooter

Best pixel games on sale atm?

>Mordor
>needlessly giant
Dude, the map is tiny. At least in terms of travel time. I guess you run pretty fast.

Dead Cells

id say they are different enough to be separate beast and shouldn't be compared. buuuut if you like atom it is a fair shot you will like underrail

Thinking about pulling the trigger on salt and sanctuary. Is it any good or just a meme?

Bloodstained CotM.

did they fix prototype? i remember buying it and it crashing every time i opened it on windows 10
or 7

i forget but one of them doesnt work

What is a good(enough) game to blow a -5$ coupon on?
P.S. For the love of god get Dinosaur Forest and other such games they cost 40 cents and you'll get 1300 achievements in 20-40 minutes netting you that coupon

Bloodstained CotM
Katana Zero
Necrodancer
Shovel Knight

I don't own win10 but never had problems with it on 7

Is AoE 2 HD worth picking up? Whole bundle costs like 10$

should I play Doom or just skip to Doom 2? Is 3 even worth playing?

ye

Besides Hollow Bullet are any of the SAO games worth playing? I really like the idea of a game that has game mechanics as a part of the world itself and not many games seem to do it in that regard.

Monster Hunter is very fun and that's a great price for the value. PC port runs better than PS4 and has free online.

Devolver Bootleg seems like a good game to blow a free fiver on if that seems like your thing. It's a collection of ~8 small games based on Devolver IPs, developed by the Gato Roboto people.

pirate the first 2 and get ready to be welcomed to the world of .wads. 3 is fine to play if you get it under 5$

Hollow Fragment is the best one according to most people. Fatal Bullet is a meme.

I just got Atom RPG because it was on sale
Been contemplating getting
>Kenshi and Underrail
>Inquisitor Martyr
>Elite Dangerous and Rust

Only got enough for one of these 3 choices.

Slay the Spire worth it?

Yeah, it's fun

wololo

None of the SAO games are worth playing unless you're a fan of Sword Art or at least watched the anime and familiar with the world.

I tried out Dead by Daylight yesterday on Xbox Game Pass and enjoyed it, and I'm thinking of picking it up on Steam. I also noticed that Friday the 13th looks similar and is dirt cheap right now. Which one should I get, if any? or should I get both?

Definitive Edition will be coming out later this year, you'll probably want to buy that version then, because it has new civs so everyone will buy it.
Competitive aoe2 players play the (patched) original version on Voobly, not the HD/steam version.

Are there any RPGs/JRPGs where I can just ignore the main quest and pretty much do dumb shit like in Bethesda games? I know you could sort of do this in just about every game, but I mean in the sense of letting me be an autist who pretends to be an average character trying to live out a normal life

I've already got GDZDoom ready to go- I was just under the impression that DOOM 2 was just a straight improvement on DOOM

also any essential wads?

>all these scrubs paying for games with DRM

devil engine

2 has much better level design, but 1 is fine too.
It doesn't even take that much time or skill to complete with modern controls (except a couple painful levels in episode 4)

dead by daylight

friday the 13th is shit and it's even dying with lack of players. also the devs got sued and they stated that they will not add new content for the game

Yes, I picked it up today and I've had more fun with it than I've had in a while with games I've just picked up on a whim.

DBD, I don't think Friday the 13th is alive anymore.

Problem is im on w7 and DE seems to be w10 only.

ask /vr/ they have a pretty solid mega folder of the stuff i am working through. 2 being a straight improvement is debatable. play both friend and enjoy a good weekend

Are there any games in the sale made by confirmed Yea Forumsirgins besides Devil Engine, Risk of Rain, and KO Mech?

Is Samurai Shodown 5's netcode any decent? Want to buy it, but the last SNK pc port I bought was KOF 97 and that netcode sucked

You can get both Saints Row 2 and 3 for that.

monolith

thanks anons

If you're worried about netcode then I think that SSVSpecial is on FightCade isn't it? That's probably your best bet.

Opinions on these games my dudes

The graphics put off most people, but if you want a no-handholding, mechanically deep puzzle adventure, get Toki Tori 2+. It's very different from the first game, and people either love it or find it very boring.

What are some fun games that let me dick around like an autist when I get bored?

Read the rules. They'll delete it if you do that.

Do you think there is a chance that Steam will remove HD from the store once DE comes out? Maybe Microsoft will force them to, and HD owners can keep playing but new players will have to get DE and downgrade from win7 to win10.

Jesus Christ you fucking autists

Just to clarify the dev's weren't sued, it was a argument between the studio who owns Jason now and the original creator, but it halted all work using the IP, including this game.
They were working on fixing bugs, but being put on hold for... 6 months I think, really sucked.
Short story, it's still shit as release, but there's a minor excuse for it. Pointless trivia from a drunk.
I'm looking forward to their Predator game.

I guarantee you that it'll be worse on the Steam version. Plus, in terms of netcode, I played the PS4 version to get all the trophies and the netcode was kinda balls.

I was gonna mention that Smashing The Battle is a mobile port that seems like a lot of style over substance, but
>but I like tits, action
I can't really argue with that. For its price it looks like a fun masher with some cool construction-themed weapons and the coveted big titty + glasses combination. I hope you enjoy it, because I couldn't pull the trigger on it myself. Maybe Winter.

Sleeping Dogs is great, definitely get that one.
I also thought the first Mass Effect was good, and the second one acceptable. I heard the third one went downhill and I never bothered buying it, but the bundle might still be worth it depending on what it costs.

What are the best mystery games on Steam?

Y-Yes mister Sakurai, just compare your specs with the ones in the page, even if you get 20fps is a turn-based game

You should at least pirate ME3, the story shits the bed halfway through but the gameplay is so damn fun

Ace Attorney Collection
Danganronpa 1, 2 and V3

how many songs does the muse dash dlc have?

I genuinely enjoyed Valkyrie Drive. I think it was a solid game.

As a traditional metroidvania fan I didn't like it. The stamina based combat and lack of map was really annoying.

Not entirely sure, but you can easily check by booting up the game since they're all listed in their own tabs. The base game is more than worth it though, it costs barely anything and it has a lot of value.

What are some games that let me upgrade/modify the character with shit to make me a cyborg?

Have there been any good choice of games recently?

Mecha Ace was the most memorable to me, but there was a relatively recent one that was good as well. It was set in a victorian mansion kind of deal and was a kind of supernatural mystery. Can't remember the name.

My issue with the text based games on that site is that they're REALLY hit or miss. Anyone with any recommendations would be really appreciated.

What are some good games where I can romance a snarky girl?

Divinity 2

Dragon Age: Origins

Attached: morrigan.jpg (468x642, 68K)

huniepop

Bummer. Guess I'll just wait for the SamSho 6 port

Anyone tried Hardcore Mecha? I pirated it just to give it a go and the cutscenes are absolute balls to the wall, but the gameplay was a little stiff up until the first boss fight which was pretty cool (I'm guessing it gets a lot better as you progress).

Attached: 1209380934850.png (280x514, 40K)

how do you get that discount? Is it the 30$ thing like christmas?

I'm thinking of trying out a JRPG series I've never touched before. It's down between buying pic related or emulating Xenoblade Chronicles (PC is more than up to the task). Which should I go with, assuming I don't mind spending the money on Tales of anyway?

Attached: Capture.png (624x401, 70K)

I want more games like monster hunter, but not necessarily hunting games
I love farming for drops in a skill based combat system and working my way gradually up the ladder to bigger and bigger threats, where skill and persistence is rewarded instead of simply throwing money at the problem
I already put a lot of time into disgaea which is another common recommendation

I'm trying to remember a game. It was an arcade flight sim like Ace Combat with a flat polygonal style. Had a name like Air Rogue or something.

Can anyone help?

Planning on buying MGSV collection and underrail. I want to get into Tales, but I don’t know which one. Recommend me other JRPGs and shit

Attached: A8E91FCC-088A-4DEE-A2A3-75DC8A875854.jpg (1280x720, 213K)

I'd say grab Tales of Symphonia as it's the most accessible. If you like it, you'll probably like Vesperia from what I hear.

Play Xenoblade regardless. It's great.

Just finished Rakuen and I'm in the mood for more story-focused games like it, To The Moon and the sequel. Recommend me some.

Attached: cry.gif (190x94, 704K)

Getting into Mass Effect is asking to be insanely fucking disappointed by the conclusion and further on Andromeda, but the first two games are incredibly good. Borderlands is boring as fuck, empty dead ass world, repetitive gameplay, offensively terrible humor.

Sky Rogue

You need 15k tokens, which means you need 15k max token amount, which means you need to buy some games.
Getting the points themselves is easy, but the maximum is hard to raise.

I was planning to get it but there's missing modes and I don't like how most of the mechs seem to be multiplayer-only. If you could play single player with any of them then I'd be getting it right now.

Play Dragon's Dogma.

Attached: 1534522415537.png (1575x1800, 1.88M)

I bought Dragon’s Dogma a year ago but I haven’t touched it yet.

Thanks!

Wish the discount was a little better though!

so this 6$ was obtained for like 50$+?

i only bought princess maker 2

You redeem 15k tokens from the race. To be able to do that you need to have your point cap at least at 15k though, that cap is generally based on how much you spend. You can do some shit to get 2k points and the sale starts you off with a bunch, based on how much you spent on Steam this year or something. Beyond that you get 100 points for every $1 you spend in this sale. Obviously getting the discount isn't worth it if you have to spend a lot of money you would otherwise not spend.

I personally had to spend like $10 in order to get it, Steam gave me the rest of the points I required.

Yeah, it's not like one series is going to exclude the other, I'm just trying to decide which to start with. Buying Tales right now wouldn't make sense if I were to start with Xenoblade anyway, so I'm trying to decide which would be best to go with first.

I haven't bothered figuring out the exact amount, but it's in that range yeah.

BABA IS YOU

Buy it nerds

>I want to get into Tales, but I don’t know which one
While Tales games have some references to each other and whatnot, they're self-contained games aside from the few titles like Xilia/Xilia-2 and Berseria/Zestiria.
I'd recommend start with an older game like Symphonia or Vesperia and continuing with Berseria because it's more modern and has a lot of quality of life features and better combat.
Zestiria is very mediocre but it's a sequel to Berseria in a sense, set 1000 years after Berseria ended.

Ori and the Blind Forest or Steamworld Dig 2? I've already played every other Metroidvania

Attached: baba_is_trans.gif (300x304, 49K)

ori

>so I'm trying to decide which would be best to go with first.
What kind of JRPG do you prefer? XBC is kind of like a PS1 game in modern consoles (in terms of story, not gameplay), whereas Tales is closer to the more modern anime-style JRPG. Tales' combat is very good, but more action oriented.

Thanks user, I’ll keep that in mind

Play it then. In terms of ARPGs it has the best actual combat, and if you posted Robin then you must like casting spells and shit while using swords, and if so then BOY are you gonna like Mystic Knight (or Sorceror if you just want to cast big fuck-off kill-shit spells). Also the story really goes places in the endgame, the music is very good, the replay value is up there, and Mercedes is cute.

Attached: 1551293376621.jpg (788x838, 170K)

I don't really have a preference, I think I only played 3 JRPGs in my entire life (Persona 3 and the Nier games) so I don't have a clear image of the genre at all. That's why I basically want to explore a genre which is largely new to me.

>so I don't have a clear image of the genre at all
Then go emulate FF4 and 6.

That makes things harder. I'd say out of both franchises, XBC will give you a better iintroduction to the medium. The Nier games barely count as JRPGs, and Persona is a modern take on the genre.

You could also try the Trails in the Sky series if you want something more classical on Steam. Or FF and DQ if you want to try the big guns, though a lot of them may not be as accessible. All in all, I'd say XBC, but keep in mind these games are usually slow burns, so don't give up early on.

I'd honestly suggest not buying any of those, then. You have 30 years of great JRPGs to explore; emulate the best and save your money for later. Go play FF6, FF9, Chrono Trigger, Phantasy Star 4, Breath of Fire, there are almost endless great JRPGs. Tales are just like popcorn in comparison to the greats.

It's not on sale right now, but I'd recommend you keep DQ11 in mind if you haven't played that series yet.

As for Tales, that series has been consistently average at best since the very beginning. Honestly can't recommend it much.

Tell me a WRPG where i get to actually fuck some girls. The old in an out.
