Playing minecraft without Ray Tracing

I hope you guys don't do this.

I don't play minecraft

Isn't that technically screen-space path tracing though?
What kind of frames you getting OP?

50-60 in a 8 chunk viewing distance.

who the fuck plays minecraft

tens of millions of children

What is the best version of minecraft and why?

nobody
based

play pokemon better.

>using anything other than default
god you people ruin everything

>not using HD default with RTX

minecraft is at it's best with vanilla everything but played with a competitive group of friends

that vanilla/hd texture pack comparison is so accurate for most texture mods it hurts

>people are jerking off over RTX how it will change graphics in vidya
>while Half life 2 or fear allready did light perfectly fine

i think the big point of it is the real time reflections, either way its not worth a fuck right now.

rtx theoretically allows for realtime fully accurate reflections from surfaces without separately processed effects. it looks better than simply having a standard dynamic lighting engine. Although I wouldn't buy an rtx card for the rtx tech because it isn't supported by many games and is still very poorly optimized

Can't wait for games like GTA to have reflections for fully working rearview mirrors.

So does voxel cone traced gi

I agree, but you have to realize the all of HL2 and source's lighting is prebaked.

>see a nice texture pack
>it doesnt show the mobs
>get in game and pat myself on the back for how good my base looks
>turn around
>mobs all look like someone traced over a real animal with pixels
>go back to vanilla
fuck texture packs now

I'll defend the darkness part. Skyrim comes with torches, lanterns and glow spells from level 1, there's no reason to make nights look like merely a stormy afternoon.

It's always amusing seeing the buyers remorse threads. Thanks for helping to stall out progress for another half decade consumer apologist.

What if the mods are of the same style as the original?
