Thia game is a lot of fun pre-wall of flesh, and then you beag it and the game becomes this boring grind, turning into borderlands where there's hundreds of items you're managing that are all useless.

>rangedfag

Probably Thorium for being one of the only "good" mods that actually resemble a finished product. There are plenty of good mods out there that would be good if they were ever finished/not abandoned like Spirit.

calamity is also really good, if stupidly difficult and with some retarded balancing sometimes.

So i was not the only one thinking that, pre wall of flesh has the best feeling to it, after that everything becomes too exaggerated and a lot of things straight up useless

>Calamity
>good

I’m so used to calamity that when I play vanilla it’s too easy. I’m trying vanilla overhaul right now

based but run my dude, you cant say calamity is good here

You're right.
There's so much crazy shit you miss out on though if you don't kill WoF.

>calameme

Yikes. I hope you guys don't go to fabsol's discord if you think that mod is actually good.

>someone saved the pastebin I made

I feel honored.

Are you kidding? It's in the Terraria General OP every thread!

Server where motherfuckers? Im bored out of my mind right now

I'm creatively bankrupt and need a good idea for something to build. If it helps my current character is meant to look like Ryu.

Yeah, and I was the one who originally suggested and created it, about a few months ago. I can even pinpoint when I suggested it to /tg/.

>host sever
>8 or so people show up
>have fun
>day 2
>1 person, sometimes 2 come back
this is why. I can only play the beginning of the game so many times before I lose interest

Ah, found it. We were in the middle of trying to revamp the old copypaste for OP posts.

>got to hardmode
>too scared of the corruption spreading everywhere
>lost the will to play

help

>play with mods
>get spoiled to all the cool shit
>play vanilla
>bored in 10 minutes

Sucks when the only servers people post are vanilla.

...

the sequel to this is never coming out is it?

I'd love more games like terraria, add in some social quests per npc and maybe some sort of town building and it'd squeeze even more hours out of me

get a mod that disables evil biome spread dummy

Assorted Crazy Things and AmmoBox+, made by /tg/ bros

>a few months ago

I like calamity and I don’t fucking care. I agree with you guys about the calamity lore though it’s pretty gay

I wish I could just stop an invasion once you've beaten it.

>X invasion happens
>Now have to sit and shoot them until they fuck off
>Can't even take them to an area because they attack the home
>Ground and inventory now full of shit I don't want when it's over
I mean sure autotrash helps but it's still annoying.

Actually understandable criticisms while outdated, it can work with thorium now and there is some plan to actually scale it's bosses, but to me as long as you arent adding too many other mods with it and ignore some of the dumb shit it adds it can be fun.

I found the abyss "fun" in that it was actually a a substantially different biome that you cant just hop into with all your same usual gear to explore, but I suppose that can just be seen as annoying.
also I like the music but it is unfitting for Terraria yeah.

I don't know why they decided to add lore like that to Terraria, it doesnt need this shit, I just ignore all of it.

ok nobody cares that much, calm down there hothead

i wish someone would just take the spirit npc's and make those a standalone mod. i just want town characters, i don't want a fucking spirit biome fucking up my world.

magic storage
personally the game is unplayable without it

In my opinion, once a mod goes "Post-Moon Lord", it's already jumped the shark and become irredeemable shit. I don't know why people keep thinking they can top Moon Lord as a boss in terms of atmosphere and presentation.

I wish Starbound had something like that. Like holy shit I can just not go back after using something like that.

Thorium and Assorted Crazy Things.
Love fighting bosses to try and get pets, and Thorium just fits into Terraria nearly perfectly, with the exception of the final boss. Also it makes Summoner more enjoyable.

A training dojo.

It's really basically the opposite.

>Pre-WoF has very specific options for items, equipment, and accessibility (especially if playing the bosses somewhat respectively).
>The gameplay is *very* simplistic.

>HM starts up with really basic methods of getting powerful things, and the Mechanicals are really fun.
Maybe its because I cheesed Duke Fishron with the you-know-whats, but he's plausible anyway.

My biggest problems are building NPC houses and making a big farming area, both of which I'm content simply tEditing grey brick blocks and walls, and a huge empty rectangle below the spawning area. There's simply zero incentive for re-plays having such limited methods of producing either. There are far more important things than manually placing houses, and emptying with dynamite or so.

It's the best option getting going in HM.

Content mods with bosses, and such, are beyond my interest. Proper balancing is essential.

My favorites (in whatever combinations) are Magic Storage, BattleRods (multi-lures are really reasonable; options for getting the world's opposite biome's things … crates for biomes; etc.), something for craftable fishing-rewards, and Terraria Overhaul.
