movie hawkeye is based more on the ultimate version, who had a black ops background, gets recuited by fury and has a family. ultimate hawkeye is basically bullseye where he's just an expert marksman with anything but uses bows because comics

Same. I always thought that it was because the sequel was released in an odd time,between IW and EG and because it felt that they were holding back with the action. They planned things like a full adventure in the Quantum Realm, a giant monster fight or a Giant-Man vs Goliath fight but they didn't do any of that. I think they saved their big game for the final film, now that Ant-Man got to shine alongside the Avengers.I also know that the people behind the Ant-Man films are fans of the Godzilla Monsterverse so it seems possible that they go crazy and do a kaiju fight.

The fun thing about PTE is that they dubbed it twice. Every episode has a version where the girls are voiced by male VAs and a version with female VAs, and there's a lot of improv so the two versions only share like 60-70% of the jokes in a given episodes. The male version is funnier about 75% of the time but the female version usually has a good bit or two and is occasionally funnier. And of course which two VAs do the duo is cycled around every episode.
