As a switch player I'm hoping that they officially announce cross-saves. I can't go without portability since I travel a lot, but want to be able to play on my pc too without running two accounts
playing this game on Switch is suffering
It's not that bad. The game plays fine still it just suffers on the new jupiter tile and the two open world areas, particularly in handheld mode. To be honest I'm often impressed that it runs as well as it does all things considered.
Really holding out on being able to grind stuff on my switch to use at home on my pc though.

Cross saves is most likely the future with Microsoft even wanting it for games on PC/Steam, Switch, and Xbox.

It runs fine, the issue is that there's no offline mode for grinding out credits or materials by myself.
It's fun. The grind is like monhun where it doesn't really feel grindy cause you're enjoying blasting around being a space wizard god of death or whatever. Also the story is good (when it exists) and I like anything with lots of build options.
Anything is better than playing this grindy shit.
Railjack looks cool, I hope it brings with it more equipment for Archwing and the like.
The main thing I want is lateral build diversity for everything, plus maybe one unique frame-specific ability during Archwing mode

I get that they haven't put much development into archwing because of how unpopular it is, but with empyrean I hope that we get some build options too. Tbh I've been doing archwing missions more lately and find them pretty fun now.
It gets boring fast. The AI in this game is retarded. It's repetitive as fuck. The fun ends after you spend 5min dashing and jumping around.

There's no grind. You create an account and jump into the game and you already have powerful enough stuff (after upgrading from MK1) to do any content in the game in a party, even arbitrations and tridolons. There might be stuff that's grindy to get, like maxing out your operator skill tree, but they are hardly a requirement to play the game 100%.

All that cool shit you can do and there is not a single enemy that challenges you. You're a god in Godmode at level 1 and getting to end game only makes you godly-er. That's strike 2.
The endless grinding. Again, if the stages wasn't on some random generator this wouldn't be a problem because then I could focus on time improvement via speed running and doing things like Team Speed Runs ala Dual,Triple, or Quad runs. But nope. Random built stages to remove all the autistic fun you could be having. Strike three.
Cool concept but the overall product is shit. The combat and cyber ninja is cool though.

Not him, but still needs to be connected to play. I just use my phones data as a Hotspot. Doesn't use much data at all surprisingly.
It still absolutely baffles me that the only things remotely close to an agility course mission that actually uses the game's movement physics are Lua Spy, Octavia's Anthem, and some of the Rank Tests. The absolute definition of wasted potential.

I literally have not touched the game since Fortuna came out and I played it for 3 hours, then realised they spent fucking years on reskinning Plains and making me repeat the same grind. Years worth of content development time, focused on a fucking reskin

Non-endless missions are much, MUCH less rewarding in all aspects than endless missions, most of which (barring Excavation) have a guaranteed minimum time of ~5 minutes per rotation. The only reason you'd ever want to run a non-endless is if it's a rift mission or if you're farming a specific rotation on it.

when that person says speedrun he meant actual speed runs for single mission types where most of the rng comes from how rooms are set. ive seen people break monitors if they run into an elevator.

You're thinking of cross-play. They've said they won't do this because they need pc to launch first and as agile as possible.
Cross progression can definitely be done without version parity. Just needs to record what you have unlocked / leveled with a fallback from tennogen / things not on one platform yet. They've said multiple times they want to do it and are looking into it.
Also, all platforms are version aligned right now. Typically PC is a couple weeks ahead, and Xbox/ps4/switch are all caught up to each other so I don't know what you're talking about.

I have 4-5s cipher times on PC. I can't, for the life of me, do Corpus hacks fast with a controller on my Switch alt. So much muscle memory on PC is overriding my ability to do them well with a different controller scheme. Maybe if the currently selected node was more distinguishable?
Grineer hacks at least are still the same, but the very slight input delay/lag/whatever throws me off at first when going to or from PC.
Eidolon and Orb Mother hunts are where the game truly chugs on Switch. Dropped inputs, delayed actions, ~10 fps sometimes, all on top of you being at the mercy of the host's internet connection. Motion controls are nice, I will give them that, but trying to hit anything at long range with aim-assist on is suffering. It kept dragging my aim to the left a few pixels, which was enough to make me miss long range Tranquilizer shots, so I had to turn it off.

But every time I boot it up im just met with a bunch of random samefag missions on dozens of planets with matchmaking but no one actually playing and no sense of progression to get to the cool stuff
It takes a while to click. There are a lot of different pathways to go to get the cool shit. When you're starting, a good pathway is to focus on unlocking junctions between planets, kill bosses to get parts for new warframes, buy warframe blueprints and weapon blueprints from the market to assemble the parts. (using CREDITS not platinum. Platinum is the paid currency but you don't need to use it).
While doing that you'll also be finding resources to craft these things, finding new mods to power yourself up and gaining experience to level up your frame and weapons to make them stronger + unlock access to even better / weirder ones.
There is a lot lot more to do on top of that depending on if you enjoy the game after that. There is always something to work towards, and it's very much a "do it at your own pace" kind of game (excluding nightwave which is the free battlepass, but they admitted they fucked that up a bit and are fixing it next season)

the patches anyway is entierly up to the systems update structure. Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo would never allow a patch into their environments that they didn't vet.
