who cares
banjo won
I didn’t think anything of it
it’s going to take years if he wants to have as much of a legacy as Reggie
He's a corporate shill who has nothing to do with making games. Nobody with a brain cares
Same could be said for every person in the industry except Sakurai, Miyamoto and a million unnamed office workers.
I care about people who make games.
Lol
>Expected them to make a "lol his name is Bowser" joke
>They did
It was okay. I just hope they don't waste a good 10 seconds in EVERY Direct to parade a confused tie-wearing CGI Bowser around.
His attempts at charisma were forced, if he's committed to being the public face of Nintendo of America he's gotta loosen up.
Did he actually tweet that?
He's more relatable than Reggie because he's white. Not even a /pol/ comment, but Reggie was like an alien to me.
I imagine he will given the time to adjust. It WAS his first public showing. I imagine anyone would be tense. Filling Reggie's shoes isn't gonna be easy.
He's no Reggie but I liked him in the Direct. We have to remember that both are just glorified corporate salespeople though and I honestly don't think either of them play much Nintendo outside of work.
Do you? Name three people who worked on your favorite game.
Are you trying to tell me that Reggie was lying about Animal Crossing being his favorite game?
>Did a public figure from Nintendo tweet out something with the word shit in it
I don't know user
you replied, so you definitely care
Better they get that joke out of the way now. Also, imagine if he was just some new guy and didn't have anything funny to add. He wouldn't come off as very watchable
How could he possibly have been honest and also sane?
That's why I asked. It would be surprising if he tweeted it, but it wouldn't be unprecedented. There are recordings of Spongebob's voice actor swearing.
Japanese people be all like "his name's Kuppa, right?"
>We have to remember that both are just glorified corporate salespeople though and I honestly don't think either of them play much Nintendo outside of work.
While this is almost certainly true, I imagine Reggie got into it a bit over the years.
Plus, you never know who might be big into things like that.
I mean no-one would look at Vin Diesel and peg him as a D&D nerd either.
I think there were subtitles during the Direct for the Japanese which explained the joke.
Why would anyone care about what Yea Forums thinks? Everyone knows it all about what Corey Taylor thinks.
>"Baka gaijin don't know what a kappa is so we had to name him Bowser. Please understand."
It's a really good thing the conference wasn't awful this year. If it was bad, people wouldn't care much but this was one of Nintendo's best E3's.
Reggie got to debut the Nintendo DS and that first Twilight Princes trailer. Doug gets Banjo reveal and BOTW 2
you posted a gook
In that part where Bowser looks confused at the two names, there are subtitles that say "Bowser-English name for Koopa" and "Doug Bowser-President of Nintendo of America"
He's staring into my soul.
They probably know king Koopa is called Bowser in America just like we know the opposite.
He's trying to be Reggie but he'll never be Reggie.
I doubt it. They don't know purin is called jigglypuff.
>He's trying to be Reggie
Is he? I think we gotta wait to see how they do future jokes with him. The Bowser one was pretty obvious but are we gonna get something like Mecha-Reggie or Make Things Happen
Hopefully he'll never fall far enough to be Bill trinen.
it's spelled gukbap in english
Bill gets to fuck Isabelle every day, you're just jealous.
What's old Reggie up to nowadays anyway? Spokesperson for Marlboro's new line of menthols?
He's drinking pina cooladas on the beach with his wife.
bill is a true chad who reggie kept firing because he was jealous
I saw him flinging his own shit at people while snacking on bananas.
He was a little nervous but he did fine.
Are you sure? I think he's been in at least one Direct considering I already knew who he was before he became president.
He's no real Reggie Fox Aimé admittedly, but he does an ok job.
He's been in like 2 skits with Reggie before but this is his first time doing actual Direct stuff
He's on the E3 2019 Nintendo Power episode.
I honestly liked him better than Reggie for speaking, He's not as funny/meme-worthy but he can actualy talks like a human being instead of a PR Spin Machine
Cute Audrey
Also a cute Bill
He waved to me so it was pretty cool
It came off as forced because they had to reshoot the scene multiple times. They had an actor stand in place where Boswer who had a raised bowl on his head to simulate where Boswer's eyes would be and where people are supposed to look. But Doug kept looking at the actors' eyes, where if they kept that, he'd have been staring at Boswer's chest for the skit.
So I'm sure for someone with no acting chops, redoing the same scene over and over would make you wooden.
Also, the direct videos are all a bit on the wooden side anyway. Even Reggies.
>staring at bowsers chest
>Bowser's most looked forward to third party game is Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin.
His credibility increased greatly.
He's fine, not any worse than Reggie. But people dickride reggie into oblivion so for them no one can ever replace him
