i played it, because i wanted to play all the operation rainbow games, it was pretty good
One of my most enjoyed games ever. The battle system is amazing only problem with game that it was short. I wish there will be sequel for it.
Will this ever be ported?
Nope
I played it. Sort of forgot it existed, I don't think I ever finished it.
I have the posters and pre-order bonus telephone cards, soundtracks, the limited edition, you name it. The game's still sitting on a shelf unopened and unplayed.
Maybe more people would've played it if they hadn't only printed 100 copies.
It was mediocre, and the side quests were better than the main game.
Pandora's Tower remains the superior game because the gameplay is actually fun.
I played it in japanese, got stuck in one part and had to watch a playthrough on youtube to see where I had to go. I never understood the point of the tiger.
Played it.
I kind hated how the game wants you to think its tactical and requires strategy to win.
But you can just unga in to battle and win 99% of encounters that way.
Ironically all the optional hard fights dont even let you use any tactical stuff and just force you in to unga.
The fact it didn't have any difficulty settings didn't help.
Music was kino thou.
It's fun play it. I don't even enjoy games much but it was fun.
People played this zoomer.
I have seen people on here talk about the original once and about how it's creator Kenji Eno is dead, apart from that I know these games have a cult following in japan but they seem to be largely unknown to most people.
literally the most popular rhythm game
you are like little baby watch this
I played this
played it through 2 when i moved in with my sister and didn't have a car yet.
I thought it was operation rainfall?
I was really interested in this, but didn't own a wii to ever try it
Why are on/v/?
I don't get why Xenoblade blew up but the other two didn't. It's like Nintendo was just too stingy to support the third parties so they just let the other two die despite owning the IPs and even having trophies in Smash.
Of course Rex got screwed out of Smash as well so eh.
nintendo is retarded, it's nothing new
Let me present a really decent platformer. I'm pretty bummed no one took notice of this, was a really great game.
Friend lent this to me and I liked it. Never got to finish it sadly.
SEX BUYING DOU DIN YING RAZIO DEEEEE
Almost the perfect soundtrack
>Of course Rex got screwed out of Smash as well so eh.
And thank God for that. Rex fucking sucks.
>final fantasy
>gets dozens more games
>the last story
>its actually the last story
fuck
Actually played it and it was alright. Didn't quite care for the style of grinding to max things out with infinite NG+ or getting lucky with multiplayer. Paled in comparison to Xenoblade, but glad it got a chance.
Now this I haven't touched. That game breaking bug announcement made me iffy on starting it up and then new games just kept coming. Considering the praise I really should play this though considering I got it at launch and it's been shelfwarming for years.
Xenoblade actually got released everywhere and had just the right mix of gameplay and story. RPGs like that were uncommon to Nintendo platforms, or really in general at the time so people really got into it. Was kind of a perfect storm. Really showed just how shit NoA was too considering NoE did all the heavy lifting.
The other games, while worth playing, weren't as gripping or well made either. The audience was niche so when they finally did come out they just kind of existed, rather than explode a new fandom. NoA figured building niche markets was below them because of Wiibucks so they really floundered in NA.
Also, Rex is meh. Nothing to set him apart from other characters in Smash. Even if I'm loving XC2 at the moment, there are so many better choices.
i played it. i even go back and forth if i like it more than xenoblade 1.
>>final fantasy
>>gets dozens more games
>>the last story
>>its actually the last story
>fuck
Sakaguchi did say he was making it like it was his last game. and seeing how everything after it has been mobile shit maybe its for the best.
I played this and LOVED it. Also
>JRPG PROTAG
>HE HAS SEX
AHHHHHHHH
Unironically the best platformer on the Wii
>He has sex
Dropped
I PLAYED THAT SHIT. The MC ravages the main girl pussy and the game doesn't even try to hide it
But he literally has consensual missionary sex with his wife after a well deserved marriage. It's beautiful
He's a good boy don't lie. He waits until they're married.
I did. It's not very good, but still the best RPG on Wii.
I still find it fascinating that Just Dance is still being released on the Wii, years after every other dev left the system.
>That game breaking bug announcement made me iffy on starting it up and then new games just kept coming. Considering the praise I really should play this though considering I got it at launch and it's been shelfwarming for years.
Its not really that game breaking as long as you save often. All it does is freezes when selecting 1 of the last 2 dungeons, so long as you save before then your fine. The bug only happens on the US copies running on the Wii, emulating the US version or just playing the EU doesn't have the bug. Not sure about playing it on the WiiU though.
randomly freezes*
Who else got this by registering the 3 games in the old Nintendo club?
Ariela > Syrenne > Calysta > Mirania
I got a 20 page artbook for preordering Xenoblade instead.
Aegil > Igraine > Marie
Not even her innate MP regen will save her for being shitty. Thats why its better to off her.
Cotton is the best.
I have no recollection of this. Was it eu only or something?
smash never
THEY MADE A FUCKING SECOND D GAME?
>offing her
Fuck, i wish there were more games with outcomes like that
Its quite challenging to go in her stage. You've got to protect NPCs that can be one shotted, and there should be no casualties. Her being OP is probably considered a reward for that grueling mission.
Doesn't help its the route deciding mission.
Kill her so you can cleanse the curse within the holy sword with her blood
Or try to find another way to lift the curse.
I personally find route B better since Serdic goes full destroy the Empire mode, giving no fucks to the reaction of his allies especially Owl. And his change from blue eyes to red, almost looking like Gilgamesh, you know hes fucked up inside after that mission.
Her being OP is also fitting for her own games.
>I don't get why Xenoblade blew up but the other two didn't
ChuggaaConroy played it, which gave it a big popularity boost, and I think that helped in Shulk getting into Smash, which of course boosted the game's popularity even more.
the last story is one of my favourite jrpgs of all time. definitely an underappreciated 7th gen classic.
Cottonfags are in luck this time, if I remember it right, Cotton is getting a remaster I think.
Yeah, I'm in communication with the team.
I played it. Sage for shit thread.
Too bad the story will never be completed. Seems to be around 4 games planned if its based on the temples.
what im i looking at chief?
I played this with other people in the Facebook group I'm in. Multiplayer is pretty fun.
OG Baroque
youtu.be
This that psp game that's kinda like a cheap tales / star ocean game kinda remember playing this
Ah just reminded me I need to play this and that game where you lay traps as some cute animu girl anyone know the name?
So many good games on the wii that noone played
You mean the deception series?
No I found it the games called trapt on ps2. But I need to look into this deception series games look good
Play the 4th one, it's pretty fun and the girls are cute
Trapt too is part of the Deception series. The names are kind of confusing on both sides of the pond.
Played it
>look up that fight against Not Ganondorf on youtube
>turns out you could add in your friends to the fight
>for me it was the hardest fight in the game and I got good enough to beat him with just Zael and Calista
My favorite, but sometimes you don't see where exactly you're supposed to chain when exploring makes the game a tad more difficult than it should be.
What the fuck was his problem?
I dropped RS2 because I thought the first was not only harder, but had more charm. Red Steel plays like an otaku fps where you try to beat up the yakuza who stole your wife. the katana fights were cinematic pleasure.
>implying zael didnt fuck calista in the inn while dagran watched ever since chapter 4
>the mirror fight
Fuck that god damn mirror
Does The Last Story still have emulation issues on Dolphin?
>muh nobility makes me better even though im a fucking retard reeee
He just wanted to smash that princess ass and non existent tits, instead he got cucked by zael and fucked by dagran
It's a joke. He's calling it gay.
Last story, heh, that title reminds me of something....
Yes.
Yeah, this one was fun. Great presentation.
This ran like absolute shit on my Wii and I still don't know what framerate it's supposed to run on average because multiple people told me they never got any framedrops at all. Maybe they all played on emulator.
Unironically the best of the rainfall games. the wifi pvp was stupid fun when it was still around and I liked how you could change the color of the clothes of you and your party. The haunted house mission with the merchant is one of my favorite bits.
>the fossil minigame leaderboards
I played and 100%ed it
>just realized the Last Story = Final Fantasy
Is the main character named Precipitation Conflict?
I played every Spectrobes game but only beat the second DS one. I got stuck in the other two.
Origins was genuinely pretty fun. Maybe we'll get a fourth game on the Switch. lol no
Is this really a good game? I see it mentioned from time to time but I can't tell if it's actually good or just good for what you have to pick from on the Wii if you get what I mean.
Totally forgot about this one. Kino game
origins was my first (and only so far) game in the series and i agree it was pretty fun and it felt like it had a lot of heart in it
it's not bad, and it had a lot of heart put into it imo. the combat in it is hack and slash style with different weapons that have different movesets, and the monster aspect is like a combination of tales of symphonia 2 (monsters fight with you) and the chao garden from sonic with how you raise them. it's been a while since i played it so i dont remember how the waggle controls are, but it could easily pass for a hidden gem if it was on 360/ps3
It's interesting for what it is. I played it a long time ago but I remember the way that catching monsters works in it being way more interesting than Pokémon, and the combat was passable, too
Oh I remember why didn't play it. because it was one of the few wii games bigger than 4.7GB and I had a modded switch so of course I didn't didn't want to go out and buy Dual Layer Discs which were actually quite expensive at the time still cheaper than buying the game.
I think I win
This series is still a interesting subject of discussion even though they pretty bad. I really do believe if Red Steel 1 was as good as the second one. Motion Controls would have completely dominated the entire industry and things would look very different today. Red Steel would have proven this new medium for viable for hardcore player. instead sticking to the causal side.
EA's attempt to annualize BF and MoH was really sad since one series is dead and the other might as well be
Allegedly the only reason they do that is because the Wii is still popular in physical therapy centers and the fanbase has consistently bought JD even after all these years. It's also probably cheaper than doing a Wii U version since the Wii U can play it anyway
I'll forever be pissed that Xenoblade stole all the thunder from both TLS and Pandora's Tower. Shit, I honestly found Last Story BETTER than Xenoblade when I played them both. I liked the characters more, the locations, the music, and the sheer amount of weapons and armor were also fun to mess around with. I even went and got the pre-order with the artbook and everything.
I even remember jerking it to the pics of Syrenne that were in Nintendo Power before the game even came out
>remember wanting to play this a bunch
>no stores had a copy and didn’t really fuck with online shopping back then
>gave up the search four years in and sold my Wii
I’ve pretty much accepted that I’ll never play this. A damn shame considering back in those days the only other game I wanted more was FF Versus XIII, and we all know how that turned out...
>haunted mansion mission with the boys
>edgy party member starts screaming like a little girl
Loved that mission
I wonder how bad did it sell
It came out?
>the Wii is still popular in physical therapy centers
That makes a lot of sense. Pretty heartwarming to think about. I wonder if it's used in elder care facilities too.
I just got this from an intern at work for $1; I get home and open the case, the disc is a wreck. There are scratches and what looks like bubbles from overheating or slightly melting. I'm so flabbergasted at how people treat their discs when my ps1 games are still pristine.
I think I rented this for like a day because I had no money back then, was surprisingly fun
The Wii really did have a lot of gems.
A.k.a the prequel to Shadow Hearts
unironically liked this better than Pandora's Tower and Xenoblade Chronicles
I should give pandora's tower another shot though. I stopped playing when the game crashed about 2 hours in.
Why is Noctis on the cover.
That is LITERALLY Noctis. Did they fucking trace the older Versus trailer?
While we're on the Wii. Once you get past the teeny bop playlist the gameplay itself is actually fun. It's like motion controlled EBA..
I also liked watching anime girls do slutty cheerleading routines.
yeah this has been known for a while. he's even got a not-engine blade
slants know no shame
holy shit, I had no idea that the Wii version was a port/remaster. This game is a household meme.
>heres your ffXV ending bro
>The BBEG's weakness in a joke item.
youtube.com
>in one of the dungeons you can see an imprisoned monster dancing the macarena
>you can eavesdrop the girls groping each others breasts
>you can eavesdrop the guys holding a dick measuring contest
>"invisible dye" is an unluckable dye for your clothes
I love this game. It's full off little details like that.
Play the original user, it's much more better
It didn't even chart physically, and Microsoft hasn't done their usual "we've had X amount of unique users since launch thanks to Game Pass!" shtick so i don't think there will be a Crackdown 4 anytime soon
>people are having fun
>weebs come and have a meltdown over rice and immediately shit the thread and ruin it for everyone
Wow, shocker shocker.
This is a pretty good game. It can be hard, because if you die you'll have to start a mission over iirc. But the controls are fucking good and easy to learn so it's not even THAT hard. You can also play (local) co-op iirc. It's been a few months since I last played it. I just stumbled upon this image in my folder.
I played a lot of it, but goddamn the english dub made my ears bleed. Fuck those cockney accents and that chav speak. Is there an undub out there?
One of the best games on the Wii. Also the PC port is finally fixed, someone once posted the dev blog fot the process. Everyone just thought it was a lazy port but turns out Little Kings Story was just nightmarishly programmed
What was wrong with Crackdown 3?
This looked like not enough game for the price they wanted.
How can you possibly be upset with Rex being screwed put of Smash? He's literally the only reason I haven't beaten XC2 yet. I cannot stand watching his retarded facial expressions and his neck breaking in every custscene. He's unfunny and I'd actually prefer an edgy, says nothing emo boy over him.
>"WEEBS BAD!"
>"WEEBS RUIN EVERYTHANG!"
I played this, it was good but short. the battle system got pretty tiring after the second playthrough and the dialogue got really stale. the robo girl is a definite waifu.
I was looking for DS rpgs a long time ago and found this hidden gem.
Lassi a cute.
>zaels waifu got molested by the drunk red head
>she still thinks about zael
Nobody played my game. People only know of it now cause it got expensive.
I don't even like rhythm games, but those were so cheap and interesting.
It's very different from the first
What are you even talking about?
I remember seeing this game at the store as a child. Was it any good?
Wasn't that bad at all.
It's criminal just how good this game and its OST was. There's something mesmerizing about what they tried to attempt and made it work theme and design-wise.
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
I almost never see anyone talking about or even mentioning this gem on the wii, seems it was only a hit in japan, quite sad since it's actually a pretty good game.
Port maybe since dragon quest is popular in the west now
Not sure how they would handle pointing though, I know some games have tried to emulate pointer controls with gyro but I am not sure how well it worked.
Fuck it's such a shame it never got a sequel i fucking loved it the multiplayer was crazy fun and the combat system is stll one of my favourites i stll remember jumping in it before every playtrough to have better gear in the beginning
tried both of these. they were boring.
just play it on dolphin like everyone else retard.
shit forgot to add portrait of the game.
The Switch joycons can work like wiimotes.
I played Koudelka earlier this year. Or was it last year? Anyway, it was pretty cool. The combat was kinda meh, should have just been a regular turn based game instead of this grid based shit that added literally nothing, but everything else was good. The voice acting was surprisingly not shit and actually pretty great and the animations were amazing. It really was ahead of its time.
>Hyped by Microsoft at reveal as a huge technical breakthrough on console with 100% fully destructible environments
>Development was a joint effort between 4 different companies: Cloudgine (in charge of the cloud stuff), Reagent Games (in charge of art design), Ruffian Games (in charge of multiplayer), and Sumo Digital (in charge of the campaign and most of the assets)
>Cloudgine was bought by Epic during development, and the entire team at Reagent shuttered the studio to join them (Cloudgine and Reagent were both founded by Crackdown 1 director Dave Jones)
>Game was delayed out the ass
>Microsoft downplays the destruction and instead promotes the game as a funny Terry Crews sandbox
>Crackdown was never really popular as a franchise to begin with
>Crackdown 3 releases with less features (no 8-player co-op, no 4-player co-op, competitive multiplayer only has 3 maps and 2 modes) than Crackdown 2 along with a story that retcons how the Agency were the bad guys all along
I loved both. The "gaijing becoming a killing machine to get girlfriend back from yakuza" plot is dumbfun. The second one´s setting looks cool but lacks the old action movies soul the first one had, even if it´s gameplay is a lot more deep. Wish it had been a sucessful franchise
>retcons how the Agency were the bad guys all along
Are you saying that they retconned it so that they never were the bad guys or that they WERE the bad guys?
I've never played Crackdown, but I was under the impression that at the end of the first one it's hinted they were the baddies.
Red Steel 2 is proof that when someone try to make cool things people will ignore then and discourage devs of trying again
It got assassinated by its fucking dub, that's why. A lot of people would rather not listen to ear cancer while playing a game. Such a good game that often only gets brought up as joke fodder when talking about bad dubs.
Crackdown 1 kind of hints at it, but it's revealed in 2 that they are the bad guys and that they basically create the problems then solve them to look like the good guys. Crackdown 3 retcons this by revealing that Terra Nova, the bad guys in 3, were the ones both funding all the gangs from the first game and creating the freaks from the second game.
It’s legitimately fun
I never played this but I did play the first ds game, good fun and it's a shame that any sequel would probably go to EA
i played this, it kept crashing on disk 4.
I see, I just hope the game could get and HD port of some kind, with dual audio options of course, I kind of see why a lot of people couldn't stand the dub, I guess I just got used to it while playing the game since I didn't know what to expect at the time.
But why, user?
>buying wii games when a literal retard could install homebrew
you deserve your fate
I knew that I've seen this game before and the mention of the voice acting made me remember.
youtube.com
Wew, this is just sad.
Sakaguchi made a mistake not going multyplat with it. I really wanted to play this just because he was involved but i already had a PS3 that generation and i fucking hate Nintendo changing controlls every generation. I later tried to emulate this but the controls are just irritating. It makes me sad that all Sakaguchi does these days is mobil shit...
If you want to get the full experience you just got to play it with a friend. You'll have more fun that way and get more out of it. I agree that it was too short, since it could've been longer.
Not saying it was good but I could definitely sit through that entire game if the voice acting was like that. Bretty entertaining
they're both on my backlog
Pandora's Tower is pretty easy to play on a keyboard
That'd be nice. It really is a shame it didn't get more attention, I loved the battle syatem. Had a bit of a unique story structure at times like when you're competing for the Rogresses.
>mfw i miss a key in the last map and i have no clue where it is
the number of enemies at the end of the game is atrocious
If you're poor, that slim chance at bricking your console will give you a decent reason not to mod a system.
I'm not poor, and I still hesitate. But I've bricked a SNES, two DS Lites and a PS3. The PS3 wasn't my fault
How the fuck do you brick a DS? Are you a literal retard?
Open it up to mod shit, and have shit skills with a soldering iron.
I played it, really mediocre, 4/10 at best
I don't remember anyone ever responding when I posted Blazing Dragons before. Not the kind of game a kid would enjoy. I had no idea what the hell to do when I played.
I think I remember playing that for free on PS+.
I played a bit of it, but wasn't able to make it far since my Wii was strapped for space.
The soundtrack was also pretty good (or at least a few of the songs). Very festive.
Played it, got bored of it shortly in.
I have the limited edition version of this game
Is there a boss fight in that that's your dead mom's vagina or something?
That game had the weirdest pacing ever. The first 15 hours feel like a tutorial, and then you fight like a million bosses in a row. What was up with that?
>Of course Rex got screwed out of Smash as well so eh.
Only because his game came out way too late, same with Spring Man.
Story, voice acting and soundtrack was good. Everything else was absolute shit.
>bought the limited edition with artbook and steel case
>can't play because unnatural fear/anxiety of time limits
sometimes i wish i wasnt like this
terry jones wtf
i'm sold
They got both promoted with Xenoblade and were part of the Wii exclusive JRPG trio that somehow got released in the EU before the US.
So if you knew one, you knew the other, unless you were some normalfag that only plays AAA hype games.
I played all three of them and all three of them were amazing in their own way, too bad only one series stuck arround but to be fair Xenoblade was already part of something bigger.
Get on my level.
I played it, bought it even. Was so thirsty for any game on Wii back then, a time before Wii library exploded.
The Wii was a great console in hindsight.
how much do you want for it?
everyone played this
Remake this game without the dub, in fact most old games just need to remove the dub and its golden
Fuck I want to play these series. Seems like Deadly Premonition levels of fun
I know
brain problems
not selling
>Seems like Deadly Premonition levels of fun
So negative levels?
Wasn't that the original Xenoblade for wii though?
This shit was one of the best collectatons of ps2
probably the retards who post VNs
I always wondered why these three games always show up on amazon recommended for each other, but that makes a lot of sense.
Fuck Nintendo for not funding a sequel. It was kino.
I mean, why would I buy the last story without reading the first?
I still have the collectors edition unopened. Someone spoon feed me on why I should drop everything right now and play it.
>being able to choose literally any line from the games script to use as your pvp messages
Good times.
This would be shitposted to hell and back if it came out today. Maybe it's for the best it's a hidden.
This game was so average and unmemorable.
I remember people hyping this as the Tales killer.
You haven't played bad JRPGs yet if you can say that.
Not saying it's bad, just saying it's unmemorable. Like Tales of games
Played the demo on and off Still can't figure out how to get past the mines in either branch
Great game, but came out too late. Props to Atlus for revisiting it though
This is the best final fantasy game prove me wrong
I was getting kind of excited for a port when Zael got a trophy in smash 4 but I guess that was wishful thinking.
I actually really liked Pandora's Tower quite a bit.
I started this game a few months ago but had to drop it since I didn't have that much free time. It seemed ok from the little bit I played.
Well, now he's a spirit in Ultimate. He's moving up in the world, so that's a good sign at least, right?
It was a dumb game, but I thought it was and played the shit out of it when I was 10
I wish they finished the third game they had for the Xbox 360 instead of this one.
Such a bland forgettable game. I honestly liked the other jrpg for the Wii that came out after this one better. Forgot the name but it was so sweet. It had a girl and a guy that had to remove a curse from her.
Damn shame too since it's a fucking great beat 'em up and if you like the show, it's like playing a lost episode.
That trio got campaigned so hard for I wonder how they feel about 2/3 of them basically being forgotten.
He's not wrong. The game was really unforgettable.
On top of that it used a gears of War cover and shoot system mixed with real time combat similar to FFXII
Cry On? The game that only got concept art?
This checks out. I bought it and never played it
Played it, loved it. Suck my ass OP.
Not the best JRPG, but since i played this immediately after Bravely Default i probably thought it was way better than it is
Oh yeah this one. The reason I regret selling my Wii.
A shame since we will never get the final game in the trilogy
I owned it but never played it. Feels bad. Raven-haired chick that liked eating food was hot though.
Yeah man, it's not like Last Story shouldn't exist, it made a decent filler for the Wii catalog. But I really wanted Cry On too. They said at one point thay 50% of the game scenery was done.
I swear Mistwalker puts out more concept art than actual games.
This needs a remake for the Switch.
Theyve released this in 2014 and Sakaguchi was teased something for the Xbox One but then he became completely silent.
The Last Story was their most recent console game, and that was 8 years ago. Now they just do mobile crap
I fucking loved The Last Story even in spite of its flaws. Extremely soulful game.
Sequel ever?
The game is solid on its own. I genuinely feel sorry for the people who didn't get to experience the online mode. That shit was pretty fucking crazy.
Are both games worth the time? Because I've been hearing about the creator lately and I'm kind of interested.
AHHHH GIVE ME AN HD PORT ALREADY
FUCK XENOBLADE FOR STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT
Never 4get the Twitch streams.
I played it.
And it worked fine. If there's anything it did wrong it was having just 1 city for the entire game. Everything else was fine.
Again, you guys have never played actually bad JRPGs. This one was fine.
Having to constantly depend on Gale and Vertical Slice just to guard break was kind of annoying. And only being able to control Zael fucking sucks.
Dunno about these two but the third one (Enemy Zero) is pretty interesting
But I played it and it sucked ass
You need to go rescue the worker in the timeline where you don't join Rosch's brigade. He's in the first area.
Moero Chronicle. Played it, loved it. Zero discussion anywhere on the internet. Made me feel strangely lonely.
Just play it on dolphin.
Enemy Zero actually came out before D2.
most discussion was generated when someone talked about an uncensor patch for the switch version (it was a lie that got many Yous)
Wanted to get a copy, but I couldn't find it anywhere.
Thanks god for the undub. It even has all the skits voiced. I really like the battle system in this game.
Downloaded that the other day upon remembering it. Will play soon.
It was great
I fucked up and lost my save right before the end, it was pretty good to be honest. I remember the boss fights being an absurd difficulty spike compared to the normal encounters, like really fucking hard
You could always get it for free off the internet now. Also your post made me curious so I went to look and unsurprisingly they're dirt cheap on ebay.
Notice how no one replied. This game was forgotten hard and it hurts. Anyone that liked games like Nier should try this game out.
imported and played
I have the pre-order bonus soundtrack too
I don't think it was a good game
Didn't even hear about Enemy Zero until now. Might check that one out too.
I wish i could un-play Chaos Wars.
>You can use Bananas on Not-Ganondorf to make him drop his sword
why do samurai and cowboy go so good together?
They're the same sort of idealistic manliness but from two different cultures and mashing them together only makes it better.
>Pandora's Tower
This game was actually very good, switch version when?
There were a lot of great games on 32x, N64, and Dreamcast that no one played.
Lost in Blue 1 and 2 in DS
Lords Of Thunder. Great music too.
Thanks for ruining my day
Weren't those the remakes of the Survival Kids games on GBC? I've meant to track down a copy of them for a while but haven't had any luck
>That spider boss that stunlocks you while it takes away your party member one-by-one.
>It doesn't matter how many lives that party member had, if the spider-boss managed to grap one and you aren't able to free them in time, they are gone for the rest of that battle
>And you can't free them, because you are probably paralyzed by those little spiders
Fuck that boss.
B-BUT MUH RESERVED SPOT
M-MY SERIES IS AS BIG AND IMPORTANT AS THE WORLD’S BIGGEST FRANCHISE I SWEAR
>the silver case
>Ar no surge
>New little kings story
>Mind≠0
>Shinobido 2
I loved that games. I don't know why shinobido 2 got so much hate.
Based. I sold the game to a friend but I kept disc 3 to myself so I could keep exploring the world hehe
He never noticed tho
To give them a little bit of credit, it's kinda funny hearing the voices of the blonde and that other girl on the cover when they turn evil.
>This gave us the Boss theme from Barkley Gaiden
THIS IS THE BEGINNING, HERE'S WHERE IT ALL GETS STARTED
UNDER THE SKIES ABOVE
Loved this game. The scissors made for a good platforming mechanic
>only purpose was for "BUT WII HAS GRAPHICS" shitposting
I have a strange nostalgia for this game I've never played. No clue why.
>tfw I bought it but didn't play it
>play the demo
>can't do shit without hearing some ridiculous laugh track
>kept waiting for the bozinga!
Man i love Shinobido 1, is the second as good as that?
You know this and Last Remnant I remember getting so much hype only to disappear forever when they actually came out.
Loved this when I was younger. Might replay it soon
Yeah, most underrated vita game. There's a secret to be discovered in every corner, combat and crafting are very fun, and it's one of the few games where I genuinely enjoyed the hardest mode. If you liked the first, don't doubt playing this one, most fun I had in a while; in any case I remember being a demo in the ps store so give that a try
I forgot about it until I found one of the equally forgotten DS sequels on sale for like $3 at a thrift store
Could be nice if i actually had a fucking vita
So much nostalgia in this thread fuck I'm going to replay some now. I haven't played games in some years. I'm going to be a kid again I hope :^)
It had sequels?
Even if they did, I bet they don't know it's still going strong today.
Well go ahead and get one then. They're all hackable, you don't need Sony's garbage priced memory cards anymore, and you can easily find them for a good price if you look in the right parts of the internet.
Elaborate on the memory card thing because I had a 16gb card and I fucking lost it and my vita broke so I'm getting one.
Btw what's a good price? 100$?
I'll never not be mad at this. Holy shit it was awful.
>and I think that helped in Shulk getting into Smash
Shulk got into Smash because of japanese fans
He was fucking announced in a japanese only Direct.
I watched ChugganConroy in the past, but he doesn't deserve any credit here.
With cfw and a plugin called sd2vita, you can use an adapter and slot in a microsd card. Disclaimer: if you're getting an OLED vita, the fat one, you do need an official card in order to hack it in the first place since it has no internal memory like the slim and pstv. And yeah, I'd say 100 or below. I got mine at 60 but I kind of lucked out.
Very.
Just trip NPCs with banana peels.
Own it, literally unopened though.
LOL at the screenshot.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
>implying
I spammed "she ate 214 of them!" all day in multipleplayer until the online community died.
Thanks user, doing a based job
But it says it only works with fw 3.60. does it work with the latest fws too?
It works on any firmware that's hacked. 3.60 was just THE firmware for a while.
Or to be clearer, it works on all firmwares since they can all be hacked.
I come here to post racist shit to rile the nerds up on here but I'll sometimes participate in older vidya threads like doom, descent or panzer dragoon or gt sport threads
The old Crackdowns sold mostly on the strength of coming with the demo for a Halo game, didn't they? No-one in the universe bought Crackdown 1 for Crackdown 1.
Fuuck I still need to finish this game.
My Wii ended up getting bricked so I couldnt finish it. Hopefully I wont fuck up my WiiU trying the same shit.
Thanks. I'm getting one for sure now. Godspeed. Xoxo
I played it. It was okay. I eventually sold it.
>New Little King's Story
Didn't run so well, so it got overlooked.
>Ar no Surge
Pretty much requires that you play the preceding title to understand what's going on.
>Mind=0
Dismissed as a Persona clone, so no one bothers.
>Shinobido 2
Not even available on PSN anymore, IIRC, so I imagine most people don't even know about it.
It seems like the only ones who played this were people who hacked their 3DS's really early.
Legitimately one of my favorite games. Pretty obscure though.
People say the VA is terrible, which it is but as you play the game and get further you can tell the VA's actually start to improve some what.
Except Niko and Adele
It also had an anime series I think. Didnt it show up on Toonami way back when?
Here's the best christmas game you've probably never played.
>adele
I think she tried to do a change, but it got worse because her voice kinda cracks with the personality change
Nice try, I played the ol' flip flop shooty game.
Dammit, that was released exclusively through Gamestop USA in North America. Back then you couldn't just find everything on eBay day-1. So I had to hassle an Amerifriend to preorder it for me, pay him to ship it to me, and throw him a couple bucks for the effort. And the game was fucking terrible
That game was my shit back in the day
I've played all three volumes. The third one is the best, it's fucking insane. I wonder if the upcoming game will use this one's lore.
It's an RTS on the Gameboy Color! And it's fun! It even supported multiplayer battles!
I have never heard anybody else ever even mention this game.
Used to get recommended in DS threads many a long year ago.
You can't match the shit I played on DOS from those 100in1 pirate discs.
Threads that absolutely no one posted in. Not this one, because it's been up all day hehe
I got a couple hours in and just never continued for some reason.
People meme the cover, but nobody's actually played it.
this is the best non-zelda zelda game that exists
I played it on some demo stand. It was shovelware garbage just like the rest of the Wii catalogue..
I played the shit out of this back in the day.
Yeah that's what came to mind with her voice.
Isn't the upcoming one just a walking simulator where you can't fight back?
I bought this with Twilight Princess @ Wii launch, and I loved it. It justified motion controls on day 1, and yet the "waggle" meme persisted for another decade. Pic related is another example that happens to be perfect for this thread. Shame about the frame rate in later levels though.
You have utterly shit taste
I think Last Story, Xenoblade 1 and Pandora's tower are on the Wii U Eshop for like $19
>hurr i played it on some demo stand and every Wii game is bad
You're a fucking idiot.
I remember Elebits getting a DS sequel/spin off game that seemed interesting
My cousin had this. I also had no idea wtf to do in it either lol
I bought it, but still haven't played it. I think it's an RPG.
It's pretty repetitive. The battle system is cool and unique but it's the same for the whole game and after a while the novelty wears off.
This game is actually good.
Fuck if I know. That E3 trailer certainly played it up like some intense actiony game. Plus it did feature multiple demonic enemies, while the movies have absolutely nothing threatening whatsoever in them, so either way they're building some kind of lore around Blair Witch.
Do you have nostalgia for it?
Btw, I assume you've sought out and played Excitebots already, but if you haven't, go do it.
Why didn't you buy me, Yea Forums?
We could have had a Trauma Center game on the Wii-U.
Jeez guys, learn to take bantz, this is embarrassing, it's like I'm picking on children.
This game introduced me to anime.
Clint Eastwood's Nobody character is inspired by samurai movie protagonists.
THEMOREYOUKNOW
How I remember this, really wanted to play it when it came out but it never leaved japan.
Is there any translation?
kys
Step aside plebs, heres the true winner
>Your yandere ancestor wants to bone you
>She cursed the lovers of all her descendants
What was her fucking problem?
It was real good, but everything cost so much to unlock it was ridiculous.
Because at the time I finally learned how to pirate on Wii and went berserk. Although I'm not sure if I ever even saw copies of it in stores. Nintendo always had abysmal presence in my country, you could barely find a dozen games for Wii here. Either way I loved Trauma Team, with the exception of the colonoscopy chick whose camping sucked utter balls, but then the last two campaigns were just glorious simulators of House M.D. and CSI, so that made up for the terrible ass explorer.
Why did all the operation rainfall games feature prominent cucking?
you cant post games that were never released, thats cheating
i do remember reading about this in nintendo power and getting pretty excited
I've not played last story or xenoblade. What was the cucking in those?
>being too poor to afford to buy Wii games that cost little to nothing in 2019
End your life nigger
A good gem.
Fucking bitches ITT. You know nothing. This was even 2009's GOTY and no one noticed.
Is posting low budget Russian crap cheating?
youtube.com
>what if you fought the boss again
>but now you only have your waifu to help you so youre fucked lmao

I win?
I never had a dreamcast, but I remember seeing reviews in magazines for it when I was a little kid and staring at the part where a girl was being eaten by a snake for a long time.
Obviously a game like "D-2" is really fucking hard to google search for, though.
Yea Forums loves RoF.
but I did play it and absolutely loved it
Why didn't you buy her game anons?
I'm just waiting for price to drop on steam. I hear it's pretty good fun.
Because fucking everybody played it. It's already a cult classic and was recently released on steam as HD edition.
I have this and the soundtrack that came with it.
This game is depressing as hell.
In the last story a few characters get cucked and in xenoblade one of the party members gets cucked by a literal dead girl
I had less trouble with the golden spider.
Probably because he merely vores you or calista instead of insta-killing. Giving you a chance to escape.
Now I did get game over in that chapter by refusing Calista's proposal. resulting in her beating Zeal to death.
Semyl bes grill.
Grow a few brain cells and read what this thread is about again
I started it recently, but then my TV broke. I don't have money to fix it right now, and I don't want to play on the tiny tablet screen.
Best of the 3 games imo
Good at making you attached to a character and also creating a feeling of stress/urgency regarding them
The biggest criticism I have is that the main character looks like a total anime fuccboi from FFX or something but the tone and atmosphere of the game otherwise makes him stick out. Generic brown/black haired MC would have been a much better fit.
>Is there any translation?
Yes. The dialogue is pretty good. You play as a party of internet nerds who are playing a video game where they escort a cute girl through a dungeon.
Get on my level.
>zael literally dies if you nwf calista at their wedding
Holy shit i didnt know that
Persoyna fags are to busy circlejerking each other and it didnt help that atlus spitted on both the smt and fore emblem fags for years
>That boss battle with the Mushroom who can 1hko your citizens
>Realize the best way to beat it is by leaving them in the village and going at him solo like a fucking boss.
Fucking love that game.
There's a reason Pikmin games take so fucking long to come out, and nobody ever tries to copy them. Really glad Xseed tried it, though.
Cute but they didn't really do anything with the forced transformation via moonlight after it was introduced. It just showed up at a couple places where it didn't matter, like the end of stages?
I was worried it was going to break my heart.
I honestly found this very disappointing. Many of the characters were retreads of those in the first game. Events of the first game are referenced but not resolved in any way. I kind of understand they were just trying to do a self-contained thing, but it was too similar to the first game to avoid comparison and it lacked interesting plot points in its own right like the first game. It also didn't really have a climax and just kind of ambled along until it was finished.
It's perfectly fine but I was very disappointed in it as it just hammered home we're never going to get the answers about what happened to his partner or what happened to the characters of the first game.
If you claim to have played this game, you're Spanish.
Had a lot of fun with this when it came out somehow
Was this game a GTA clone set in Spain?
Now kiss.
>xenoblade
Oh god, the meme's were hilarious.
No. It was just a shitty TPS and Torrente is a franchise big in Spain.
was actually pretty good, not perfect but serviceable
It had two sequels for the DS, but only one made it to the US iirc.
Yeah, the anime aired on Toonami back in 2008 but only the first 13 episodes aired before it was pulled due to low ratings
>in the blade games someone always gets cucked
He cant keep getting away with this
Too soon.
Blocked
You only lose a little HP when you refuse, but if you repeat it enough times you hear Zeal's death scream and get a game over screen.
I just love this game. It's filled with little stuff like that.
The story is cliché as fuck.
Even though it tries to present itself as a more down-to-earth jrpg being about war and human conflict, it's plottwist complete ruins that.
fucking talking alien rocks!
Yet the game it's still so charming.
The art direction, the town where the entire story takes place in, your party that geniunly feels like a group of close comrades.
It also does something I rarely see in Jrpg's: the final boss isn't a dragon, evil god or emperor It's the traitor of your party
Crackdown 1 was a decent game, but there's no getting around that most of its sales stemmed from the Halo 3 beta access it came with. Crackdown 2 didn't have that luxury, and was criticized for being too similar to Crackdown 1. The games never changed with the times, which is why the series has never escaped the shadow of the Halo 3 beta
The magic system in this game was insane, like a serious prototype of Magicka that played more like Dungeon Siege. It also got some really strange selection of starting characters which I'm not sure if it was supposed to be comedic.
>jesus christ the guy from deep purple sang this
Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga. The world's better off for it, it was painfully dull.
Sounds hot.
Hated this game because most of the time i had no idea what time period i needed to go to advance the story, and if you go to the wrong one you would sometimes have to repeat a mandatory battle.
Dammit, why can't I have more games where you can climb on a dragon and fly it around? There's only like three games that do it: two parts of Drakan and Lair.
>people posting games from the wii, one of the worlds most popular consoles and pretending that no one played them.
You are all like little babies.
Oh, hey, I remember this one. Who was your favorite wizard?
I would've if I'd had it as a kid!
It was actually one of the things I saw in Nintendo Power, and since I'd actually gotten to have a taste of Warcraft 2 + Expac at the time at my Cousin's place and really wanted to play it.
>Story is pants-on-head
>Bootleg assassins creed shit everywhere
>game is decent looking, plays okay
I wish they managed to release The Grinder. They really tried to push the Wii as hard as they could. I imagine Factor5 could have done better but lolFactor5
>pretending that its status as one of the most popular consoles isn't because of casual friendly stuff like Wii Sports and waggle controls
I guarantee you a large percentage of those who contributed to those sales numbers have never heard of the games in this thread.
Out of curiosity, how many of you goobers actually played this one?
I'm still mad that they didn't release it on Steam, even thought all their previous works are in there.
Pirohiko is my role model.
It sucked as a stealth game, even worse than MGS, but it had surprisingly good minigames for the thievery activities.
I'll warn you now that it's shorter and easier than, say, Rose.
Who were your wife and daughter, user?
>mfw I own like all of these wii games people are posting
>mfw I've barely played them
>
mein nigger.
Loved this one. Did not have strategy games on Gamecube
No Last Story sadly. Yes to Xeno and Pandoras though.
>steam page says it'll release April 2019
>still not released, no updated release date
>published by Nicalis
Hmm
It sucks that it never got here with a physical release. The online battle system looked pretty balling
It looks pretty interesting. It sucks that I'm not a fan of dungeon crawler games.
The multiplayer was actually really fun
But user, Arin and Danny played it.
I loved the last story, my only real gripe was that Aladdin-esk part where the counts daughter didn’t know what money was in the market.
That might be my favourite Wii game of all time and it was a launch title. It's so fucking good.
Trauma Center was better on the DS because you can be really precise with the stylus. Trauma Team is definitely the best of the Wii games though.
He has the blade system, which would let him swap between Pyra & Mythra to change his attacks.
Not a Rexfag but he does have a gimmick in his home game. Probably won’t get in Ultimate unless he’s in a second DLC Pass.
The series was dull in general. The series was so bad it was free on the PSP's PSN.
I always wanted to but it's so expensive dude
Really fucking cool game.
Wii modding is piss easy, same as WiiU which does just about everything the Wii can. Wii emulation is also damn near perfect. You literally have no excuse.
Literally playing this right now with the actual Lospass guide. Even tracked down the soundtracks.
>No one played
Oldfags still lurk these areas
but nobody bought it
it was like 20 bucks 3 months after release
thas a good mango
Headband kid reminds me of one of the RPG Maker 2003 defaults.
It was a fun tony hawk clone game with an awesome soundtrack.
Still feel bad I had to sell my copy.
Stumbled upon this on Virtual Console. Surprisingly fun game. My best friend and I used to have a good time putting together bullshit levels for one another to complete.
I think they fucked themselves a bit by calling it Red Steel 2
Is that what's it's going for these days? That's crazy.
I bought that, Pandora's tower and Xenoblade. I only played Xenoblade.
Bless you user.
Red Steel was dumb, but dumb in a way that my brother and I could have a lot of fun with. Don't blame them for wanting to try something a little different for the second one (and they really knocked it out of the park), just wish it got a little more love.
I like to buy games like this :/
So emulate it and buy it when you come across a good deal. Don't let buyfagging keep you from playing a game at all.
>nobody played
>part of Operation Rainfall
Yeah, no.
Pretty fun game, but playing tetris with its inventory system was an absolute nightmate
honestly want another one
