Congratulations, autist. Want a gold star or something for being a snob who can't enjoy something outside of his niche?
>he needs his hobby validated with pretentious video games
and it was still an entertaining experience, what is your point?
>entertaining experience
>experience
The eternal cry of the walking sim moron
Is there any good lore docs on this game?
>Nu-Yea Forums defending artsy fartsy trite
I don't know you people anymore.
Scope is a complicated nuance of reviewing
INSIDE is very good at what it sets out to do, but what it sets out to do is pretty simple. There's definitely a problem with games having such a small scope that it is almost impossible to write anything negative about them - they it every target they set perfectly - but I don't think INSIDE is one of them.
As much as the gameplay is simple
>sweet animations
>aesthetic world
>enjoyable puzzles, if a bit simple
>spot on tone
>all plot/gameplay nuances can be totally explained by mental gymnastics with respect to the ending
It's a good game.
Good games don't necessarily have to be difficult or long, good games are just good games that set out to do different things.
INSIDE managed to do what it set out to do masterfully, and didn't overstay its welcome.
Shortly after, Little Nightmares came out, a more gameplay oriented cinematic platformer. And you know what, it was a weaker experience. Most of its puzzles and platforming, while more difficult, weren't as fun, it wasn't as effective at coherently delivering what it was all about to the player and arguably overstayed its welcome.
I liked this. Limbo was good too.
Cool atmospheres.
superior left to right body horror game coming through
So it's a 2d platformer?
>Only gameplay-heavy games with complex, 10+ layers of game systems are allowed to be called video games.
>BECAUSE I SAID SO
Actually it had some nice puzzles, it was just too short. Death animations were surprisingly brutal too.
>Hmmm, I could be rational and reasonable and criticize the game for costing too much for what little it offers, while admitting that it's a cool little experience to play through.
>Hmmm, or I could be a massive fucking snob and pretend to have a say on what is and isn't a video game, seeking to have no discussion whatsoever.
>have to exaggerate just to seem like you're not a retard
No one said it had to be complex. He was just shitting on walking sims and games that pit focus on being faux-artsy instead of being a good game in its own merit
>admitting that it's a cool little experience to play through.
Lel
It's a puzzle game.
Call me an elitist but I think video GAMES should focus on the GAMEplay before anything else. But that's just my opinion on Yea Forums - Video GAMES
Your passive aggressive shitposting doesn't hide what you're really thinking:
>REEEEEEE EXPERIENCES AREN'T GAMES, I'M VIRTUE SIGNALLING FELLOW ANONS, LOOK AT THIS GUY, HE THINKS HE PLAYED A GAME, WHEN IT WAS JUST A WALKING SIM, OH MY GOD GAMING IS DEAD
That's not at all what I was thinking you fucking animal. Stop speaking in all-cap strawmen for five minutes and use your head. My "passive aggressive shitposting" was mocking your implications that Inside was a fun experience. It was boring.
A good "experience" is Half Life or something where it is both great gameplay and great storytelling through visuals and dialogue.
There's a vagina at the bottom of the well towards the end of the game
It's aesthetic, it had great atmosphere and it has great audio design.

Never heard of this game before. What's it about?
Also is Captcha being a bigger fucking nuisance than usual for others, or just me?
>Never heard of this game before. What's it about?
It's about your casual ass struggling to keep up with the indie scene.
Damn, sorry I haven't heard about your French coffeehouse ass looking game, man.
not sure about docs, but they decoded the morse codes a few months ago. apparently it just leads to some screenshots of playdeads next game. iirc
It's from limbo devs, genius.
it's one of the best of this decade. don't fall for Yea Forums shitposting about what is and isn't a game, play it at night with some good ass headphones
What is it pretending to be?
>Limbo
I've never been so disappointed in a "game".
>Defending gone home
You have to go back and dilate
>Limbo
>gamae
>gameplay heavy game
>visual heavy movie
>audio heavy music
