It didn't. Why are you asking this so early?

Its out?

Why did the thing that's not out of beta yet flop?

steam is the only drm that matters, if you use anything else you are subhuman
you can already add nonsteam games on steam

>you can already add nonsteam games on steam
And that helps how?

that's the only purpose for this galaxy retard hype project
it does nothing for people who have a brain and can manage their library

gog galaxy runs as smooth for me as old steam did so I'm rooting for this for less bloat.

Because they never sent me an invite.

Attached: kizuna ai drinku.png (505x670, 338K)

>it does nothing for people who have a brain and can manage their library
Y-yeah, those idiots...

what's the point? just make a folder for your game shortcuts

>running multiple launchers at once
Because that's retarded, enjoy your resource hog

Attached: 1529030450498.jpg (782x520, 130K)

>as smooth for me as old steam
so like shit?

it's 2019, how bad is your pc that you need to worry about a launcher jesus

Just got in this morning, this is amazing!

>just run 5 different launchers at once, bro, works for me!
Retard.

read what GOG Galaxy 2.0 is for and what it does before calling someone a retard

Maybe if you're still on XP

But GOG isn't DRM you donut.

It's yet another stupid launcher, that's all I need to know. Just use the intended launcher for the game and stop being so autistic, holy shit

It's not even out you nigger.

Attached: Better_platform_than_Epic_AND_Steam.png (1087x343, 173K)

???
old steam took fucking years to launch and had lots of bugs;
wait a second, what is old steam for you? when did you start using it?

For me it's not really a matter of multiple launchers, it's the fucking wishlist. I have +500 games wishlisted over different stores and it's a fucking nightmare to try to manage and remember where every game is and at what price. That is the number 1 feature I'm hoping for 2.0, a unified wishlist.

Attached: D8b4jy6XoAAtfCH.jpg (523x680, 133K)

So does it just add an overlay to games or is it meant to connect all clients so that someone from Steam can talk to someone from Epic through the chat? Cause I don't see that happening and having it just work as a folder for shortcuts is pretty pointless. Or maybe I don't play enough games on enough platforms to actually worry about such stuff.

people who use gog prefer to run games as standalone products rather than use another shit launcher. i use steam and i fucking hate it. that's why EGS is gonna flop. people use Steam because they have to, not because they like it. i wish steam was like gog, fuck steam

I'm genuinely confused how even shitposting this makes sense

Same shit different coat of paint.

Steam is blue, Gog is blurple it's the same shit tho

You're retarded.
You OWN your GOG games.
You DO NOT OWN your Steam games.

See the difference?

Attached: 7n22fw3j0xw21.png (680x579, 252K)

Any reason not all my console games were detected?

You own your gog games as much as you own your steam games, don't be naive.

brainlet

Tell me about that one time you resold your GOG games.

Fucking retard.

>can download them, burn them onto a disc, install them on another PC without any clients or internet connection or cd-key
Yeah man, it's full on DRM

Now when you're low on cash and looking to sell your old games burn that copy onto a disc and take it back to gamestop and see how much they'll give you for it. Utter retards I swear to god.

t. Chink shill larping

An owning license it not a selling license you retard.

Pretty good disinfo attempt, Epik Kike employee. Here's your 5,000 social points. Now go, you're late for your sweatshop shift.

Attached: ayyy lmao.gif (640x349, 2.87M)

Not at all, you're fucking ignorant.
When you buy a game on GOG, you OWN the game, you can do whatever the fuck you want with it.

You can put it on a disk, and play it in 100 years on a computer without internet.

With Steam? You cannot. You do not own the game.

>Now when you're low on cash and looking to sell your old games
Go away NEET

No you brainlet.

You don't need the GOG launcher to play the games you got from GOG. You buy the games, and you're free yo download the game's installer to install it on your PC, your grandma's PC or even the public ATM. On steam you're always reliant on the launcher validating your account before launching a game. Hell, offline play doesnt even work properly half the time.

Steam gives you licenses just the same.

store.steampowered.com/account/licenses

>Now when you're low on cash and looking to sell your old games
Jesus, what are you, a crack addict or something? Cringe.

isthereanydeal and their waitlist

I did just that with Call of Juarez and they gave me $5. Dumbass.

You can crack the game and put that shit on a DVD/Blu-Ray/Hard Drive for back ups, who gives a fuck nigger. How fucking retarded do you have to be? Own it forever, my ass. GOG games are yours as much as Steam games, if either service goes down you're fucking done, adios. The only difference is GOG games aren't a hassle to back up and store for rainy apocalyptic days when their business somehow goes bankrupt.

Attached: brace for confusion.png (706x1632, 1.45M)

You can't sell your gog copy.

>You can crack the game and put that shit on a DVD/Blu-Ray/Hard Drive

>you can do illegal things, so it doesn't matter
You're fucking retarded.

>no proofs
sure, don't spend it all on your Canadian girlfriend and uncle who works for nintendo.

What's stopping him?

>Own it forever, my ass. GOG games are yours as much as Steam games, if either service goes down you're fucking done, adios.
???
Are you that ignorant?
You do know that GOG games work without any DRM, right?
You do know that GOG games work without internet, right?
You do know I can download a game on GOG, put it on a computer that has NEVER had an internet connection, and it will work, FOREVER, right?

>Own it forever, my ass.
What prevents you from having the game forever, since it has no DRM?

Not all Steam games have DRM.

You can't sell your kidney, even though you own it.
Does that mean you don't own your kidney?

You have no argument.

gog

Which Steam games can you play without having Steam installed on your pc?

You can sell a physical copy, idiot.

I need to install Steam on my computer in order to play the game.
It shouldn't be the case.

You don't have to install Gog Galaxy to play games.

It's literally not though.

Of your kidney? No you cannot. Which is exactly my point.

>if either service goes down you're fucking done, adios
You do realize gog has offline installers, you just burn that .exe to a CD and you can install it and play it without any connection to the internet, forever. Most old GOG games are under 500mbs, you can fit huge library one 1 blu-ray, you can also burn as many copies of that blu-ray as you'd like and store them offsite so your chances of ever losing that game are next to 0.

Kidney's aren't video games, you have no argument.

If a game is more than a year old you're not gonna get more than $5 from it.

Nice backpedal into pretending you're retarded, did you suddenly notice that
>You have no argument.
?

I know for a fact Legend of heroes trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 are examples from personal experience.

It's called an analogy kiddo.
The point is, I own my kidneys AND my GOG games.

Witcher 3, literally just run the .exe no steam required. Steam being required is actually an Opt-in rather than an Opt-out. So any game that uses Steam as DRM is doing it purposefully.

steam.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_DRM-free_games

So how do you install them without Steam?
Did you uninstall Steam and then play the game after that? Pretty surprising.

>you are FORCED to install the Steam client in order to access the games
>it's not DRM guys!

You can donate a kidney.
Donate your copy of a gog game.

So you can install it without Steam?

Not him but probably meant "old" steam as in steam before the latest revamp a while back that now runs worse than it did before
Why would anybody be talking about mid-00s steam?

Can you install your gog games without downloading the installer from gog.com first?

Yes.
You can download the installers off their website.

Yes, I can download it from a torrent.

That's not a point. You have no point.

>off their website
You mean gog.com? Are you retarded by any chance?

And they got that from gog.com right? Same shit. You can download a DRM-free steam game via a torrent as well.

No, you can download a cracked Steam game off a torrent.

Pretty much. Theres tons of games like it, isn't all too rare.

You dont' need to crack DRM-Free steam games, just run the exe. There are litterally thousands of DRM Free games on steam you don't even need to crack.

>he thinks websites and launchers are the same thing
LMAO - by your logic, having games in brick and mortar stores is also a form of DRM.
You're a fucking smooth brain.

Because GOG users don't install useless game launchers to manage their games for them.

>by your logic
Uh-huh, sounds more like your deal bro.

Yes, absolutely, you download it from the website.

ggez

>You can download a DRM-free steam game via a torrent as well.

Attached: 1556467841892.jpg (293x326, 10K)

You can do that for many steam games though, it's the developer that choose to put DRM.

Try to launch Mount and Blade Warband without Steam open, it will work.

Attached: 24344423.jpg (211x255, 31K)

That doesn't make Steam NOT a form of DRM though.

thanks for admitting defeat kiddo.

How mad r u?

>you need to access the place you bought the game from to get your game.

At this point i hope you're trolling, because otherwise you're a legitimate retard who needs help.

wow, u mad

>uses a "nuh, hu!" argument
>thinks he 'won'

It's just a software that install a game you bought on their store, how is that drm exactly? Like I said you can uninstall steam and your non DRM games will still works (DRM that the developer chosed to use, not Valve)

>getting this mad because he lost an internet argument
sad

Again, nothing you said makes Steam not a form of DRM. The fact that some developers opt out of enforcing the DRM doesn't make it not.
If Steam let you play ALL games without Steam being required, and there was NO option to prevent games from running without Steam installed, then I'd understand your position. As it stands, you're being willfully ignorant of the reality that Steam is DRM (which is just sometimes not implemented).

Again, DRM on steam is an opt In system not opt out. Only the publishers/developers who ask to have steam as DRM use steam as DRM, everything else will pretty much just work after you've installed it. It even tells you on the storepage if it uses steam DRM or not.

>windows only

Attached: 1561664617511.png (388x413, 5K)

I thought lunix-folks didn't need these.

Attached: smug.png (355x497, 64K)

lmao poorfag brainlet

I fucking hate this website. I don't even know why I'm still here, jesus fucking christ

I can use Lutris as a unified launcher it's just that GoG sells linux games but hasn't bothered to offer a client for them, meaning you don't get cloud saves etc.
