Now you know how i feel about tarantino movies
Huh?
your first line means you're one of the faggots that would contribute to your fourth line
think through your shitposts a bit
It was really good though, one of their best.
Yeah I don't know, it was pretty boring sadly. Still got about 20 hours out of it though, but I probably would've played it less If I hadn't paid full price for it.
>no builds
>only one weapon
>no online
>spirit emblem makes most prosthetic tools useless
WHAT WENT WRONG?
Dear, oh dear. What was it? The Posture? The Bosses? Or the inability to be carried by summons? Oh, it doesn't matter... It always comes down to gitting gud to clean up after these sort of messes.
>5 bosses
>4 areas
>3 hours of gameplay
>2 useful prosthetics
>1 weapon
Woah.. this is the power of the A team... Big M won...
>sekiro
>A team
user...
I pirated it even though I preordered das2&das3 because I had no faith in it & I'm glad I did
Ds2, ds3 and sekiro are B team
DeS, Das, Bloodvorne and elden ring are A team.
It’s good, not great. I hope they go back to action rpgs because I got like 40 hours out of this where as a souls game, I could get over 500 hours.
>no builds
>one fucking weapon
>no armour
>prosthetics are mostly useless
>minibosses are shite
All of the above means that every playthrough is the exact fucking same.
sekiro is C team.
>Expecting a new IP to be the same as an old and we'll established IP because it's made by the same company
Stop treating Sekiro as a Souls game
It's obviously not a souls game
Embrace its difference and FromSoftware's balls to try something new
Funny how you didn't say anything about the game, or why you think it's shit.
It's like Tenchu, but good.
iunno man i love it
the thing is it only becomes enjoyable once you've learned it proper, that combined with shit replayability aint good
this one particularly discourages experimentation, my first walkthrough was awful
they should've just abandoned Souls-shit like consumables, losing xp and looting (seriously who thought looting fucking pellets is anything but frustrating)
instead make mini bosses/chests "drop" prosthetics and skills
fits me though as I like repeating shit, better execution gets me off more than discovery
It's like a hack and slash, but without the fun and combat complexity.
It's basically a parry rhythm game.
tfw stuck at Tenzen Yamauchi
i dont want to use tips from internet
t. Butthurt Bloodbrony zoomer
its really good though, you're just a retard
Elden Ring is D team.
it is good though?
Good and tight gameplay that rewards skill>>>>Tranny dress up gimmivks and overlevelling

I like a solid game you play through once and can put down feeling satisfied

M-muh b-b-builds!!!
fucking faggots
One of the best from games, im sorry you got filtered by ogre, no summons to help you out this time scrub
Entertainment media is inherently a scam with no valuable investment.
Refund or no refund.
What boss did you get stuck on?
But Sekiro IS a Souls game.
Shigenori Yamauchi
I will give you a tip from the internet, even if you refuse to use it:
Use tips from the internet.
It's easily their best game in terms of quality content.
>singleplayer game
Why didn't you just pirate?
>seriously who thought looting fucking pellets is anything but frustrating
It's the same problem DeS has with Grass and Bloodborne has with Vials. See, the idea is to make a consumable healing item that can be dropped be enemies, which can help prolong exploration by randomly granting you healing during exploration after your reserves have been tapped out. The problem is when you get brickwalled by a boss and suddenly the fact that it's a drop item that has to be collected becomes a problem. With DeS and Bloodborne, it was a significant fault because that's your primary healing item. With Sekiro, it's just obnoxious.
The thing is, the devs are either blind or they seemingly don't want you to use pellets as something to rely on when fighting bosses, since they've had two games where this was a glaring issue and they didn't make the obvious fix, which would be having them replenish at bonfires but still be something that can drop from enemies while exploring.
>Fromsoftware game so it must be another DS1 clone I will regret playing
>Find out 3 hours later it's actually fucking amazing and as far from souls as From can muster
You just got the deal of the year.
not me and i don't like rehash souls
The game had a free version since it was on PC. Stay retarded.
but Sekiro is prime zoomer material
The obvious solution to the problem is to have you start with a certain fixed amount of the healing item whenever you die. It's so simple and obvious to implement that I have no idea why they have yet to incorporate it. Just have some code that checks if your vial count or whatever it is, is under X vials, then make it X vials if it returns yes.
Your parents forgot to practice contraception, and then later forgot abortions are a thing.
I fucking adored Sekiro. I don't really get why people shit on it. Is it just because it's not like Souls?
t. filtered by chained ogre
but it's exactly like souls except with less depth?
Well Sekiro kinda achieves that by having the healing gourd which replenishes, and then the pellets for something extra. Another option would just be to have certain points where you can refill a use of the Estus/vial/gourd, or enemies can drop a one-use refill occasionally.
>less depth
>sekiro combat

oh yeah, pressing that roll button for iframes is such depth gameplay
at least posture fucks you up if you spam it
I want to hate on this game, but I realize that I'm just a shitter. I can't beat Lady Butterfly, can't even cheese her. It's like a first boss, why is it so hard?
go complete the outskirts then and come back later
once you beat the game and start a fresh NG run butterfly will be a chump little bitch but for now she'll seem impossible
skill ceiling is way higher in this game compared to souls
How is it exactly like Souls?
I really can't figure out what you mean by this. It has bonfire equivalents and is designed to be challenging, I guess? But everything else - combat, movement, levelling, dying, parrying/posture - is done differently.
It's less a problem in Sekiro, because your primary healing item still functions like Estus and pellets are just meant to be complementary, but it's one of those things where the devs should probably have seen that it has the potential to present the player with a situation where the optimal way of playing just isn't fun. Even if it's an advantage the devs don't want you to rely on for bosses, players are absolutely going to rely on it, which means they'll drop the engaging gameplay where they try to improve at fighting the boss in favor of figuring out the most efficient method of farming pellets, and efficient farming is typically repetitive, mindnumbingly easy, and boring.
>imagine running out of fucking PELLETS in sekiro
lol how bad are you, honest? ive never heard of anyone complaining about this shit
Is a good game
>unironicaly kill you self
>ogre
Where is that fucker? I was told to fight him first.
Keep going through the Ashina Outskirts. Eventually, there's a big staircase leading up to a gatehouse. He's up there.
nah, it was good
second only to bloodborne
Personally, I never ran out of pellets. I'm discussing the merits of the system, not necessarily my experience with it.
they're DaS2 lifegems without the option of staking 99 of each type as it would trivialize the entire game
it allows a different type of healing that is slower but persists over time which can be used in a strategic manner, to tank hits for example
it's an ideal compromise imo, having 3 max at a time
Thanks
Actually it's the O team
That's the opposite of a normie opinion.
need help with Isshin
RICHARD
>>Fromsoftware game so it must be good
There's your mistake you fucking drone
Yes, putting a cap on them was the correct move in that regard, but still making it so they're an item that exists in your storage rather than being something you get a supply of at each idol just because they want them to be something that enemies can drop for you is not the best quality of life decision because it can lead to that unfavorable gameplay loop. I can see some reasons for why they wouldn't do it, mainly because it runs the risk of making them feel a little too similar to the Gourds, and because it lets them use them place pellets in areas as an exploration reward and the game has a very limited suite of meaningful rewards it can give for exploration, but it's not ideal.
>look up a cool boss fight I enjoyed on YouTube
>the cunt is playing with ENGLISH audio
お前たちこれをしない願っている
to be honest I don't really understand the exploration criticism that much
i've platinumed the game and I can't remember any particular instance where an off-beat path did not lead towards either a gourd, bead, rare material (wax, mercury), carp scale, prosthetic, some other quest item (serpent fruits, carp eyes, ceremonial blade, etc)
it's less dense than in souls but still overall acceptable imo
Finished the game last weekend, really enjoyed it personally, some of the best detail in art and level design in a long time. The bosses and aesthetic were super fun, I don't delve much into romanticized Japanese narrative much, but I understand why some of you would find it boring considering all you do is fucking look Japanese shit up. Also, the combat was fun as fuck and super tight.
COME, SEKIRO.
well it didnt feel as big like in dark souls. I guess it just feels that way.
There are plenty of times where the reward for exploring a side path is one of various colors of Mibu Balloon or a Jizo Statue. Part of the problem is that it's having to compare to the Souls games, where finding a new weapon can be a big deal, and finding new armor is always interesting just for getting to see how it looks. I think Sekiro could've benefited a lot from making some skill scrolls be items you can find in the world. That would be probably one of the biggest things it could offer after Prosthetics.
I was stuck on the MY NAME boss, so I went and beat lady buterfly to get an attack boost.
The secret is to be agressive, staying close and continually attacking her until she pulls off a parry, then get ready to parry her yourself, rinse and repeat.
Also don't bother dodging her when she's in the air, just throw a shuriken.
but what about her spell shit, I can't block that
It's not fast enough to catch you if you run sideways away from it.
I agree on some fashion souls, regardless of whether it affected gameplay or was purely for aesthetics
>I think Sekiro could've benefited a lot from making some skill scrolls be items you can find in the world
maybe, but then it would be harder to justify the perk system
You mean robert you dumb fuck.
Jesus christ, you can't even pull off a meme.
inb4 "I was only pretending to be retarded"
Pretty sure you can unless you're talking about the massive amount that gzt thrown at you after an illusion. Then just run. Also the guy on horse is far easier.
>MY NAME
Who? I just beat Grandma and I don't think I've seen her.
>Running out of vials in bloodborne
Lol
The boss at the end of the Ashina Outskirts.
which is??
If you keep attacking her she doesn't get a chance to summon soldiers/butterflies. The butterflies are not too bad, but if she summons soldiers and you don't have snap seeds then you better restart the fight.
The secret of sekiro is that you are made of paper mache, so your first instinct is to play defensively. This can work with general enemies, but bosses/mini bosses require constant attacks otherwise you will never get though that posture.
Also keep in mind that the lower the vitality the slower the posture regenerates, so keep your vitality high and your enemies' low.
Play the game and find out for yourself.
I have a hard time to execute consecutive perfect deflections for charmless run. Is the input lag fucking with me?
>zoomer opinion
The jaded boomber opinion is that games need to have forced stats and other rpg elements. And it’s sadly correct in this case. No replay value
The game isnt even bad. Its just not exactly like darksouls and people cant wrap their mind around this.
see
Giant dude on giant horse, pushed my shit in a couple of times.
One thing about the nickname is that Gyoubu's English voice actor is the one who very emphatically shouts MYYYY NAAAAAAAAAAME, so if you're playing in Japanese, you may have met him and not even considered that it was who someone meant by that.
If I didn't like DS1 at first but then got gud and then actually liked DS1, will I like Seikiro?
I've beaten now DS1, DS2, DS3.
the gameplay is bad
Oh, been playing in Japanese so that makes sense
I have a Friend who thinks chocolate tastes like shit.
Sometimes people just have no taste
>soulfags actually have to git gud instead of levelling up
I honestly liked how long this game was.
>oh man only two bosses left, everyone is now easy peasy
>demon of hatred with, what if we put a darksouls boss in sekiro
>ok who is the other one
>pitiful grandchild
and here I was thinking that shitty bloodborne boss in ds3 was fucking stupid.
Why are you friends with someone who eats shit?
You can only pass judgement on a modern fromsoft game after you've fully beaten it.
Outing yourself as having only played 3 hours means you obviously got stuck on a boss and are now in pure denial - convinced it must be the game thats bad rather than you.
Makes sense though. The only people who shitpost about soulsgames on this board are the people who are so assblasted about not being able to beat them that they need reassurance from anons that it's not their fault.
It was published by Activision.
Shorter length and lack of polish was likely at the behest of them rather than Fromsoft.
dubs better than subs[spoiler/]
If you played turtle mode in DS1, you'll take to Seikiro like a duck to water. Playing it like a Dark Souls game is the big mistake a lot of people make early on.
Really? He was piss easy.
Maybe if they'd actually gotten the usual English VA cast, who I hope to god are in Elden Ring. Probably the most striking comparison is Owl. Listen to his Japanese voice and then his English one and you'll probably notice every single ounce of subtlety drain out of his character. There's also Kuro, who, while not particularly striking in Japanese, could've had his English performance replaced with a text-to-speech program without losing anything.
Why play Sekiro in English?
>Yea Forums hates Shitkiro now
What happened guys? I thought it was "GOTY"?
Those are just shitters, user. It's a pretty good game.
There are no "teams". Sekiro was a Miyazaki game and it sucks. Miyazaki has shit taste for gameplay, you shouldn have known that from the fact that every game he worked on had less build and weapon variety than the previous
ROBERTOOOOOOOOO
>Tenzen Yamauchi
No real tips. Just try to clear out the area, lose aggro and stealth him to take away one bar. He's also theoretically optional.
It had a couple good ideas. For a series which relied more and more heavily upon its action elements, adding more combat options and trading rolling through attacks for the parry system was welcome. The dying twice thing is a cool idea but half baked in game, doesn't amount to much more than a second health bar. I like that a wrong decision straight up ends your game midway through, but I feel it contradicts the earlier segment where your dialogue choice does not matter. I'm trying to think of some other good qualities the game has, I'm sure there are some more
user you can still try to request a refund. Say the game kept crashing or w/e. I managed to get a refund for Tokyo Xanadu with 6 hours playtime
Why didn't they translate Gyobu? It's an old court title for the Minister of Justice, not a name. The guy's name is just Oniwa Masataka (or Masataka Oniwa in the localization). "Masataka Oniwa, Minister of Justice" would have been cool.
Those are the best fights in the game. Who was the Bloodborne boss in DS3?
I love how much of a pleb filter Sekiro is.
At least in context of the Fromsoft "fanbase".
>lack of polish
u wot
It's the most polished game Miyazaki has ever put out.
Only opinions posted within the first two weeks of release are valid. Everything afterwards is just shitposting.
No, I'm not kidding.
Shura Ending was my first playthrough so those two were a delight to face a mid-late stats.
