There was no ending. Instead of giving the game an ending, they said "fuck it" and just did a stupid meta commentary while dropping 90% of the plot threads they brought up as being lies. I can't even say the ending is bad, because it's literally not there.

As someone who hated the overarching Hope VS Despair plot line I absolutely loved the ending.

It's that the ending was such a clusterfuck that at the time I found it to be very hard to follow and just started to stop care about the story once you hit Arsenal Gear.

The difference is in the execution. Kojima made a kino sequence where the entire game is turned on it's head. Kodaka was a hack that just shit on his fanbase for an hour.

the game was about truth x lies rather than hope x despair and I will always love the ending for shitting all over the retards obsessed with the past games.

It also didn't shit on it as it still kept the core messages from the previous 2 entries. If it really wanted to shit on the series, Shuichi, Maki and Himiko wouldn't have lived. It was shitting on what was expected, like in Chapter 5 when they get the flashback light, and the only thing it does is give names and faces to the stuff they already know, and in Chapter 6 Kiibo starts shouting about Hope and becomes the Ultimate Hope Robot but this is subverted by Shuichi realizing that an ending like that isn't the way to end Danganronpa (that's literally what happens)

0 was good, and adaptations shouldn't count as separate works.

I think they did a good enough job, I can't think of anyone in V3 whose voice didn't match their character. Only problem is whenever Kokichi spoke all I could hear was Fuyuhiko.

I can't tell if Raiden was a good character or a dumb character. Honestly, it seems like he has shades of both, even though the series focuses more on Naegi's moments of being right rather than Raiden's own accurate points.
