I still remember when it came out. It was being hyped up as the second coming of christ and the reviews were ridiculous. I'll never forget how empty I felt after beating it. Thinking "that was it? I have to be missing something" the only thing I was missing was a brain for actually purchasing that piece of shit and believing the hype. Contrary to what's usually said about it, the story wasnt even fucking good. It was generic dogshit and the game controlled like garbage. The brilliant acting was its only saving grace. But that doesnt make a good video game (or a good story for that matter)

Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite had this strange hype around them and people were saying that THIS is what great storytelling in videogames is.
And they both suck. It's dumb.

Game of the Year is Devil May Cry 5. It's prob. not gonna win, but fuck, man it deserves it so much

My mistake. I actually forgot TLOU had multiplayer. That's fair then. However, TLOU's singleplayer is demonstrably more movie-esque. In any case, I guess its multiplayer manages to redeem it. TW3 not having a multiplayer is still irrelevant though because having a multiplayer isn't a prerequisite to worthwhile gameplay, although a half-decent multiplayer can carry a game like it does with TLOU.

You're missing the point. In TLOU, the game is basically you navigating between cutscenes, playing short segments of gameplay where you act out the action elements of the movie and having all the rest of it fed to you with cutscenes, and that's basically it. That's the singleplayer. The game is laid out like a long movie would be, and the player's interaction is just to control the action parts. In TW3, you're playing a fairly standard RPG that has cutscenes in it.

Witcher 3 has you go between cutscenes playing short segments of batman gameplay instead its in an open world. its the same shit. its only long if you drag it out which is the same for tlou.
