Is RS3 good? The PvM looks really fun.

I liked EoC but it was overshadowed by all the mtx shit happening the same year and then everything just kept getting worse

I absolutelyove the world, the lore, and the gear. But the grind is what keeps me away. When 99 fishing, one of the faster skills, takes 2-3 months at five hours a day minimum I'm going to find something else to do. You don't NEED 99, but there's still grind no matter what.

I just learned how to do the big money bosses like Zulrah and Vorkath and it's been really fun.
I just hope Jagex doesn't fuck up yet again but given their track record it's inevitable.

You could give RS3 another try, the combat has been improved and once you grab a rotation bar from the wiki and turn on Revolution, it's as afk as the old combat used to be.
There is pure Legacy combat as an option too, but it's not as good as a decent revo bar.

Jagex is introducing something in the game that's basically MTX despite them saying it's not and the playerbase saying it is, sorta like how EA is calling loot boxes "surprise mechanics"
It's being voted on and the results are hidden, poll results for the longest time have always been shown while the poll was open, but now during this polling it's hidden
players are saying no, will most likely pass despite the large vocal majority voicing and voting no

I came back to it like 4 months ago.
It is a nice thing to do in between stuff, it is a low maintenance game and it should be treated as one.

You haven't finished questing. Once the only thing left to do is mindlessly grind 99's you get bored pretty fast.

I tried the legacy mode but it’s just not the same. Plus the game is dead. I tried to do some soul wars a few months back and on the dedicated sw world it was empty. All the mini games are like that except white portal clan wars. Also, what is the point of dungeoneering anymore? Did they add any new weapons to it? Chaotica would be tier 80 and from what I understand, there are like tier 90+ weapons so why bother with dungeoneering now unless you are going for max cape?

What? Fishing exp rates are shit, among the worst, unless you autismtick.

Dungeoneering is done mostly for the rewards like the charm collecting imp, bone crusher, gold accumulator, among other useful stuff, and access to profitable resource dungeons like the frost dragon dungeon or edimmu dungeons.
Chaotics are also still useful for Invention training as a decent tier weapon that can be freely disassembled without spending a fortune
Minigames are pretty dead though yeah, I blame that partially on thaler, it was supposed to be a system that encouraged people to play minigames but all it did was make people afk them. But otherwise it's just a different culture these days, people prefer making progress towards goals over playing minigames.

problem with RS3 and it's playerbase is that they care about efficiency, lots of people wont even talk to one another or they're botting, minigames are dead because newer content makes them and their rewards obsolete

That’s one of the reasons why I can’t enjoy osrs. Everyone is too efficient. I miss the days when we were all noobs and getting that abyssal whip or getting a fire cape was a massive achievement.

Man I remember camping frost dragons a lot. That was a solid 2m per hour without using a cannon. The game had a lot of op shit but I remember storm of armadyl and gano/polypore really breaking the game. Storm of arma with a divine and ganodermic was basically unstoppable.

I knew this shit would happen soon. I'm glad collecting data from OSRS & RS3 didn't go to waste for creating a private server.

Actually to add to this, I remember on release, the ganodermic top had better slash defence than fucking torva platebody which was the best plate in the game. What were jagex fucking thinking
