I'm going to play Witcher 1 before 2 and 3.
I heard there's mods I need to actually enjoy the game.
Anybody know what mods are needed? Preferably asking people who have modded Witcher 1 alrerady.

because it will give you access to the inn storage anytime you want it (puts icon in quest items place)

money is almost impossible to get in this game and you can't carry around many items at all. it's a major pain in the ass. I would also get item stacking and some other QoL mods out there on the nexus. avoid major overhauls, the game is already difficult enough.

Faster movement speed mod is a must. Geralt is too fucking slow in this game.

Play it without mods, pussy. Do it in the hardest difficulty too.

Yea, I agree with this. Everyone hates the swamp but the dreary swamp and oppressive slums were super atmospheric, and really added to the mystery subplot ch2 and 3.

If you can stomach another language switch to polish. 2 and 3 have decent english acting but one is pretty shit.

You're going to eventually want a mod that increases movement speed. A lot of running around so you'll save time. Other than that, vanilla is fine

I wouldn't bother with tryhard overhaul mods like Rise, just mod specific things that bother you. I always use inventory and dice poker mods because I find them annoying to deal with.

U don't need mods if you play for first time.

Actually Witcher 1 is very gothic(and I mean gothic or gothic 2) when comes to building atmosphere (music, world design etc. combines perfectly).
If you are not normie looking for dudebro games but a coneseur looking for some good gaming adventure, you will be satisfied with vanilla witcher.

Witcher trilogy are the only games where you can taste some Slavic fantasy world
