The best thing about X is the freedom. It's pretty much everywhere in the design philosophy of the game. Freedom of build, your choice of any skell you like, the ability to go anywhere you want at any time, freedom to choose how you progress through the game, and the overall sense of taming the vast, final frontier, like the pioneers of America's past.
