Winter 2020

Bayonetta looks like a tranny desu

There's nothing to go off of except that teaser

As long as Mistress wants us to

Within six months.

Keep in mind Platinum only likes to show their games when they're near completion. Once we get a trailer the game will drop sooner or later.

>teaser is almost 2 years old

Scalebound says otherwise.

Scalebound looked cool too

Damn, has it been that long?
No wonder my switch is collecting dust

Next week in game magazines

573 days exactly.

Why did they announce it so damn early? Now it feels like forever until it comes out.

Nintendo needed people to buy the Shitch

I mean... At least it's announced. Bayonetta is my wife, so I'm hyped about any news about her games.

1. Teaser from TGA 2017 that shows a villain with a purple look and vaguely Umbran powers, capable of literally cutting Bayo in half
2. Bayo's design in the teaser is from Bayo 1 but IIRC Scarborough Fair have different inscriptions (I might be remembering wrong)
3. Hashimoto isn't back to direct because he left Platinum in March
4. Definitely not out in 2019

We're reaching a point where they might actually announce a Wonderul 101 re-release on Switch before Bayo 3 gets released. They might even announce W101 before we even see Bayo 3 gameplay.

Learn Dodge Offset already

Workin' on it.

I'd rather play W101 and TF Devastation while hoping Bayo 3 is more like 1 without all the little shitty sections that break it up. I just wish we had a director confirmed, at least.

trannyetta

Die.

based

Yeah but the wait is killing me.

I like that this image actually doesn't make her look like a tranny.

I think it's killing everyone. But again, I'm still hyped! Pic related to "how long it's taking".

Yeah it's weird no director has been given yet. If it was Hashimoto then that's no longer the case.

Wonder what outfit she'll have this time

We could see Kamiya do his first real sequel, but they also might have another rookie director on it, or maybe slotted in Saito to salvage it if Hashimoto either got pulled off or quit.

I'd prefer if Saito's game was Babylon's Fall because he proved in Devastation that there's potential for a mixture of mechanically complex hack-and-slash and Diablo-like elements. A full-blown dungeon crawler similar to Devastation (minus the Transformers stuff, substituted in for knights and magic and shit) gets me pumped as fuck conceptually; I already love Dragon's Dogma (and the likelihood of DD2 excites me even more).

Bayo looks like a tumblrina and that's why I hate her.

Based, this is actually my lockscreen & homescreen wallpaper.

>Babylon's Fall
Fuck me. I forgot about that.

How's her first game? I'm getting tempted to play it after main her on smash

Bayonetta has a pretty nice pussy area honestly.

She has a pretty nice everything to be honest.

Bayo 1 is a really great action game that has some really poor isolated design decisions and a very unforgiving ranking system for newcomers, as well as some unlockables that take quite a while to unlock.

It's the kind of game designed to be replayed a lot, so your first playthrough will likely be the least enjoyable, and then it gets better as you improve, and then it plateaus and dips a bit as you attempt to get the best scores across every Chapter due to it having like 5 or 6 "THAT part" sections and one of the worst final bosses in the genre (but the post-fight of the final boss is so good that it makes up for it).

First game is great if you like action games. Second isn't as good though.

I'm insanely curious about the director. I actually hope its a relative no name, Platinum could use some new directing styles, and given the big budget third game of your biggest franchise to a nobody might make something real special.

Bayonetta 1 is fantastic

Considering that 2 was a success and they did that exact thing I don't see why they wouldn't in the absence of Hashimoto. You can really only go up, since Hashimoto did have some good ideas and beat out some of the rough edges of Kamiya's design, but regressed in terms of the core gameplay. All that polish will likely carry over to whoever directs 3, and honestly they might be aware that 2 isn't as praised for its combat as 1 so they may try to go back or evolve further instead of coasting.

I think it's kind of sad that W101 and Devastation iterated on Bayonetta in more meaningful ways than Bayonetta 2.

>got pulled off or quite

Hashimoto straight up left Platinum

I agree completely. I def think its gonna have better core gameplay than Bayo2. I just hope we don't get a Kamiya sequel, I think his games, as much as I want sequels to them, never really need a sequel. I just want more original stuff from him.
Considering all the work he did, have to wonder why. Maybe he had a baby and couldnt work video game crunch anymore.

I know, it's just we know so little I don't know if he left because he was taken off the project, quit the project, or left because he wasn't directing the project (or if Bayo 3 had nothing to do with it at all).

Legs too long.

It has its faults but I widely consider Bayonetta 1 to be one of the best action games ever made, and it is also one of the most 'complete' feeling games I've ever played. There is a shit ton of unlockable content. You just can't go into it thinking it's going to be a DMC clone.

>it is also one of the most 'complete' feeling games
Same. Aside from some bugs on some stages that can often quite a bit (Route 666 for example, i've fallen through the stage a ton), but everything else, I can't imagine them adding anything more. I think in the director commentary on YT, Kamiya mentioned they phsically couldnt fit anything more on the original 360 disc.

How come Jeanne's look in 2 sucks so bad? She doesn't even register as Jeanne to me, she looks like a completely different character.

I think it needs a sequel just to fully realize some of the ideas and combat from the first game. The balls out pace to the story and action is what really made it and the second just didn't have it.

I like her long hair more and I'm a short hair fag.

She just doesn't look like Jeanne.

She has the same face, user

Do you have a single fact to back that up?

Long enough for leglocking
