ITT: Games you stopped playing because it is boring as fuck
I played it until the 77% before killing the final boss. A good 30 hours. I stopped because I wanted to move on to other games
Halo
all of them
Is this the contrarian cope thread?
God damn man. I fucking hate when games make hard as fuck bosses but don't give you shit to maneuver with.
In this case, you're slow as fuck. Your dash is nearly useless since the only option for dodging is complete and total avoidance. You take fucking contact damage. Your damage is pretty shit. Your range is garbage without some charms. Everything about this game is designed to enrage you. Sekiro was hard as fuck too at first but at least you had the option to dodge, parry, and block. These should be fucking mandatory is all hard as fuck games.
>take the flower across the entire map but don't be clever with transportation or take any damage at all. Enjoy going through your bullet hell rooms.
Fuck this game man.
The artstyle and music really bored me.
I got bored too. I cleared an area up to a "boss" and died. Had to start all the back at the beginning. Fuck that. I have too many other games to play than to clean shit I've already beaten and cleared.
Ori is honestly less boring that HK.
just got wrecked by mantis and lost all my money forever
My strategy has been if I encounter the boss he first time I just try to survive as long as possible and memorize their moves, barely hitting them. I know if I try to out-damage them I'll just die anyway.
Kill off everything on your route ahead of time and you can do he trip fine if you can handle the spike platforming in the garden.
Based
Cringe
Spent a few bucks on this, and I felt like I was cheated.
That works but then you get put in situations where there isn't room to maneuver and reaction time becomes a huge deal. I don't mind challenge but I'm starting to get to the point where if the only challenge is reaction time, I'm becoming increasingly disinterested.
Like the arena challenges started to become real hardcore bullshit. Personally, I give it like 10-20 tries now. If I can't get it by then, I just use cheat engine. I don't have the time to try forever like I did when I was 5. I stopped giving a shit when I found Failed Champion and he had a bunch of fast unpredictable moves that all did 2 damage while being a fucking HP tank.
>Bait: The Thread
I'm just going to come out and say it
I stopped playing Hollow Knight not because I was bored but because I exhausted all available options on the map of where to go next and I didn't know how to proceed in the game.
talk to the old guy in dirtmouth
Failed Champion's entire moveset is
>Shockwave slam that you jump over
>Jump slam that you run under for free damage
>Retard flail where he doesn't move from the middle of the room
>Some falling crap you can hit into him
I don't know what boss you're thinking of here, but if you consider Failed Champion to be 'unpredictable' you're just a fucking retard
Not any help. Ive got to kill the last of the three bad bugs but i'm at a loss how to get to it. Its somewhere above hollow spiderland
Not even baiting, these all put me to sleep too.
The one you posted, OP. I was in the mood for another metroidvania after Bloodstained and played this up until I got the dash ability. I almost never drop games. Very disappointing.
Dragon's Dogma
These games are awesome in 25 minute doses but are otherwise a chore
this
Maybe you should read the post retard. It's unpredictable because you never know where he's going to jump and there's shit falling all around you. Your one and only option to deal with anything he throws at you is reaction time which is entirely dependent on you being fresh (something that doesn't happen after a day of work), input lag, and your visuals being on point and clear. Every attack FAR outranges yours. It's very likely that if you go into attack and he does his poundtown move, you're going to get hit for 2 damage. and he only needs to do that 3 or 4 times by the time you've discovered him and you get no opportunity to heal and blocks don't exist. Farthest I got was his second "phase" before he won purely on attrition.
I stopped playing that shit because the UI was so fucking awful it was unbelievable. It had japanese novice written all over it which is really too bad because it can be fun in bursts but it's bad enough without having to also struggle getting into any kind of game.
Agreed.
Playing them alone is also depressing, not fun, since most of the missions hinge on multiplayer.
