I have the top three, got them when Splatoon came out

Attached: IMG_20190117_174338338.jpg (3843x1167, 821K)

I bought some nfc stickers for 10 bucks and now I have all the amiibo I want.

Lucky fuck. I really want Pearl and Marina but don't know if I should part with $60 plus shipping. Why didn't they make any Xenoblade 2 ones?

Attached: pm.png (1216x515, 752K)

Probably because Xenoblade 2 barely sold 2 million while Splatoon 2 sold over 8 million.

Attached: sales.png (1104x443, 225K)

even nintendo could smell that shit a mile off, there is a reason they wont put rex in smash either

All the Link amiibos got restocked in the UK store so good, got all the links including Majoras mask

I just wanted bayo2 and pearl and marina amiibos but I don't feel the need to spend 100 bucks giving scalper faggots money

Most Amiibo have gotten pretty regular restocks quite often. I don't even think any of them are particularly rare.

I have Ganondorf, that's it
my brother has Solaire

I have a number of Smash ones that just sit in a bin, but I have all the Splatoon amiibos aside from the second Squid and the recolors sitting on my shelf. Then I have the OoT Link and a Chrom and Tiki in their boxes on my wall. I have a yarn Yoshi too but yeah.

I bought about 60 of them and have never touched them once. I like collecting them but the price went up to over 20 dollars each in Canada so it's a lot harder to justify.

That feel when I paid 18€ for Pearl and Marina when they just came out

waiting for Joker's Amiibo

Do you anons keep your amiibo boxed? I probably would've if I really liked the covers

You think Amiibo is expensive OP? Try Gunpla and you'll be eating nothing but indomie.

Attached: where did my money go.jpg (1192x1500, 315K)

yeah but that shit is expensive by default, amiibo is expensive because of scalpers

Yeah but Gunpla are actually fun. And this is coming from a fucker who has too many of both Gunpla and Amiibos. Gunpla tend to be bigger, more detailed, and fucking move unlike the tiny overpriced statues that are amiibos. Also, basic High Grade gunpla can easily cost $15-$20 which is only a little more than a new amiibo at what is, $12? Sure the really big ones like the Master Grades and Perfect Grades cost a shit ton more but comparing those to amiibos is absurd.
This isn't all my stuff, this is just the one area where I had them both next to each other, the rest of the piles are fairly separated.

I imagine Nintendo has a hands off approach with Monolith Soft. If Monolith was interested and asked about it, they probably would have done something.

I have all of them, because I emulated all of them. EZ Amiibos for $10.

>there are people who bought this Dedede instead of the superior Smash one

Attached: 5108700_sd.jpg (1000x1000, 357K)

I bought my first last year, oot link. Preordered Snake and LA Link. Will likely get WW Link and a Mario soon. Probably done after that. Theyre just neat figures I put next to my monitor.

This is pure conjecture pulled straight from my ass, but I feel as though there aren't Xenoblade 2 amiibo because they wouldn't be able to do the female characters justice. Clean facial features and skindentation are important aspects of their design.

dont make fun of flat faced ddd

I own every Splatoon amiibo and all of the Yarn Yoshi ones among other things

Splat 1 girl is so pale she looks like a ghost compared to splat 2 girl.

Don't you have to build and paint this shit yourself? Fuck that.

good

>not buying both

>Crossbone
Nice

finally got my white buffalo

I'm really torn about out of box vs in box. On the one hand they have a lot more value in box and are easier to store, plus the packaging looks cool in my opinion. On the other hand they look a lot better to display out of box, plus you can't use their functionality unless they're out. Also I can't put on white gloves and pretend to be master hand and play with them if they're in box.

You retarded turbo nigger that's the point. Its fucking great, the most zen shit you'll ever do is build one of these things and come to understand the incredibly complex engineering that makes them.
Also paints haven't really been necessary for years now. Other than maybe a few small accent colors that couldn't make it as separate parts on cheaper kits its not an issue.
Thanks, honestly its one of the coolest looking kits out there, still need to read the manga though.

You only have to build it and maybe apply the decals. painting is for those that like going the extra mile.

Too lazy to take a picture myself, but this is my personal prized Amiibo. I'm only really interested in the Zelda series.

I'd like to finish my BotW set and a few misc Zelda ones, but after that I'm likely done. Only need Rider Link, Daruk, and Mipha.

I already got them at starting price because Im not a dumb bitch.

I really hate his face.

>im a retard

Attached: 5723700_sd.jpg (2697x1187, 230K)

You only have to snap them together. Painting is optional, but can really make the kits pop. The better grade kits (RG, MG) typically have more detail and better color separation than the basic HG kits, but with just a little work like panel lining you can get great results.

Fucking this. This is why I don't get into gunpla kits.

>Spend hundreds of dollars

>Lmao build it yourself and if you accidentally snap off a piece and fuck it up woops your fault!

No

I have the RG version. That fucker has annoyingly small parts but the end result is worth it, by far my favorite RG.

Not an argument when FE Echoes got 2 Amiibo and FEW esentially also got 2 amiibo (Chrom and Tiki) with launch of that game.

Then again, XB2 also got 3 high quality figures (2 2 PVCs with a third on the way) as well as Siren Model Kit so you could argue that XB2 has pretty good merch.

Then again, FE also has Cordelia and Tharja PVCs as well as a Lucina and Corrin figma.

I have the Mythra and Tharja PVCs.

Did the animal crossing series amiibos kill the hype for amiibo?

If you snap a piece just fix it with some extra-thin plastic cement. Takes maybe an hour or 2 to cure and you need to just sand the area where you snapped it so that its smooth again. Maybe do some pining as well if its really bad.

Its a big part of it. Most stores around here STILL have the shitty animal crossing Amiibo despite only getting a few new ones when they release.

I Have a Cali and Mari pack I bought of quicksale from Target while I was getting some crappy speakers a few years ago.

Only Amiibos I ever bought. I probably won't sell them, they're kinda nice to just have.

how the fuck do you even display this shit? what's the point?

There are action figures so that gundam fans that hate model kits can have some nice merch too. The Model kits are for those that love the aspect of building itself. I agree with the price argument though, that's just bandai being money hungry jews.

>Why didn't they make any Xenoblade 2 ones?
Animal Crossing almost singlehandedly killed Amiibo, and after that disaster they became a lot more conservative about releasing them with new games. They became almost exclusive to guaranteed big hits after that, and considering even Monolith themselves were surprised at how well XC2 sold they clearly didn't think it was going to be worth making Amiibo for.

what's the tl:dr behind that? I do remember seeing ONLY animal crossing amiibos for the longest time. Did they just make too many of them or somethng?

why don't you have any boys?

Yeah, the previous runs of amiibos sold great so they made a ton for Animal Crossing, as those games normally sell fucking gangbusters, but it was for Amiibo Festival a game that almost everybody universally hated and ignored so no one bothered to buy them. Also they came out with much cheaper amiibo cards that had all the villagers so you could get all your favorites that way even if they weren't important enough to get a figure.

My hunch is that Nintendo expected it to blow up like any other Animal Crossing or Mario Party title and thus created a billion amiibos to fit the form of their theoretical mega hit. IIRC the amiibos acted as game pieces and you needed them to play.

>Make shitty animal crossing party game
>Nintendo thinks the animal crossing line is going to be as big as tbe smash line and way overstocks while ignoring to stock other series
>Nobody gives a fuck about animal crossing characters so they sell like shit
Nintendo have been cautious with amiibo ever since and barely make new ones now.

Hey hey, people certainly give a shit about my nigga tom nook and Mr resetti.

Everybody aside from those and K.K slider are literal whos though

The new leaf and newer Amiibo were a mistake. Should have made Amiibo of popular villagers.

Isabelle has a fucking cult of furries in love with her who went nuts when Nintendo made a joke about her loving Bill Trinnen in a direct. Add her to the list of cared about characters.

I have four of every Champion amiibo.
I haven't opened any of them yet.

Who the fuck buys these toys past the age of 9? Truly pathetic. The market for these things iskids, manchildren, and women who think it's quirky

Attached: 1555894428219.jpg (330x330, 41K)

Just preordered Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Solid Snake amiibos, but I am sadly going to have to go to Target early in the morning this month to make sure I get my Pichu, Pokemon Trainer, and Isabelle Smash amiibos before scalpers get them.

>am sadly going to have to go to Target early in the morning this month to make sure I get my Pichu, Pokemon Trainer, and Isabelle Smash amiibos before scalpers get them.
Nobody tell this user it isn’t 2015 anymore.

It wouldn't be a problem if Nintendo ever bothered trying to keep them in stock and in production.

Physical stores do not get a ton of restocks, usually like 2-5 per amiibo. Once they are gone they are gone until the next restock.

Wrong, it still is due to Nintendo shipment amounts. Last time I had to wait outside Target, I was first, got mine, and asked them how many they had left. The guy told me, they had two of K Rool, two of Piranha Plant, and only one left of Ice Climbers. This is the power of limited Nintendo shipments. Either I am first, or I likely don't get them.

Yeah but who the fuck still scalps amiibos?

i don't have any amiibos but i have a yoshi figure i got from mcdonalds once. if you press the saddle his tongue extends. does that count?

>"Yeah but who the fuck still scalps amiibos?"
>Go on to Amazon
>K Rool
>One actual non-scalped listing, others are $28, and $27
>Piranha Plant
>"$37, only 7 left in stock!"
>Ice Climbers
>$20 and above

Y-y-y-yeah, who s-scalps amiibos anymore....

Cause that's gay nigga

Imagine the Banjo-Kazooie prices

Or the Dragon Quest Hero prices over in Japan?
Or hell, even Joker?
I basically only get these things by preordering them months in advance.

>Americans still scalp amiibos
What the fuck? Prices for those amiibo are way lower on Amazon UK.

>collecting ninty brand happy meal toys
Just look at all you Rusty Brown motherfuckers go.

Its just lower stock all around. Probably because of the price increase and the animal crossing shit. Like people have said Nintendo are super conservative with stock now.
