It's specifically because of that bloat that the roster sucks. The modern sonic team takes criticism at face value, which is why we got the glut of Green Hill pandering, and why now they're keeping casts constrained to what will be "evergreen" moving forward... which unfortunately includes the dreamworks ghosts, for whatever reason.
