They're all shit.

whats the appeal Yea Forums?

are any of them that different from one another? They all look the same and follow the same loop

It's like a card drafting game and those are the most patrician card games.

They're all fucking trash.

I still prefer the mod. Too bad all the userbase got divided by the 3 games, and my friends refuses to play the mod because of the usual nuisances, like long loadings and that fucker that always fail to load.

>choosing between different slot machines

isn't Autochess from Dota anyway?

This.
Trash type of game.

The winner is entirely decided by RNG so casuals love it when they get their forced wins

Barely any skill involved and heavy RNG. Scrubs can win good players by sheer luck, so they love it. Somehow like poker.

The one with the best waifus.

>t. never finishes top 3

so lol it is

makes players think there is some strategy and thinking involved but its actually just pick the same color and character the game

>shit vs. shit vs. shit

>>t. never finishes top 3
Jokes on you, I don't play that shit.

There is some strategy. Again, you can compare it to Poker or similar card games, good players win more than the average, but their WR isn't far from the 50%.

TFT is great
playing it without any breaks since launch and its so much fun

Pretty comfy desu

This.

It's just like it is with MOBAs: I will never play them, so I don't give a shit about which one has the least shitty gameplay. But whoever has the best waifus has my theoretical support, because at least that way I might get some decent porn out of it.

it's like deckbuilding card games like Dominion or Millennium Blades, but even dumber and simplified

>There is some strategy. Again, you can compare it to Poker or similar card games, good players win more than the average, but their WR isn't far from the 50%.
vs other top players yeah, as it should be. but vs noobs? a good player is gonna finish at least top 3 or top 2 every game vs noobs
knowledge in these games is pretty important

whoever started this should be shot in the street for associating chess togheter with this garbage

I think its kinda fun, but the more you get into it the more you notice that winning mostly depends on good rng plus watching the right streamers and copying their strats, so it mostly rewards the shittiest kinds of people

>Win 5 games of TFT in a row
>Good item RNG two of those times so easy win
>The three other wins was just building against the top player and looking at the other boards so I actually get my champions ranked
>Get called lucky the games where I clutch a win with 10-20HP

People are so utterly shit at these games, especially the lolbabs that are trying it out now the first week, but it will be better and harder after a while.

So, like Poker?

As someone who doesnt play mobas, whats the appeal of these games? I have a friend who's into TFT and I genuinely dont understand why

rng makes everything better, even real chess. you can't just study 100k games and be the best. gotta be able to adapt

congrats you put a spear of shoujin on your pyke you must be a prodigy

for rng to make something better, that something should be there in the first place. right now, autochess has nothing but almost pure rng in it.

According to my trusted sources (another user), is a bad translation from a chinese word that means "board game", any of them. So it should be "auto-board game".

>Jokes on you, I don't play that shit.

>talking shit about a game you've never even played
Never change, Yea Forums

>no reading comprehension
I played a bit or Doto Auto Chess to see what was with all the fuzz and confirmed it as shit.

>defending shit games on Yea Forums
Never change, reddit.

Fuck you salty nigger

it's a perfect blend between theorycrafting and reacting to rng. Rng gives you a rorschach's blot, but it's up to you to interpret it better than your opponents. Too bad nu-v is too stupid for strategy games, quite a shame really.

>I didn't like it so it's shit and no one else is allowed to like it
Why am I even still coming here, Jesus
I'm off to /int/, see you seething fags later

>nothing but pure RNG
If you were locked every round with no way of rerolling the champions you get then yes it would be RNG
Retards who don't know about the econ in this game should be humilated publicly

I got roped into playing it with some friends. The appeal is basically a cross between a team building game and a slot machine. The pace is set so fast you don't really have time to think and just need to see what the next randomization spits out at you. There is not NO skill involved, but it is mostly just learning what synergies well, what items build into what, and what counters what the other people are building. Even if you have all of that down tho it is still very RNG heavy.

autochess and MOBA genres do not have a lot in common. in a MOBA the only random things are certain spells and abilities, which you can not worry about if you play certain heroes. in autochess, the only non-random thing is the stat boosts and combining 3 of one hero into 1++ version of that hero
my guess is the appeal of autochess is the same as the appeal of gachapon games you play on your phone (for example Fate Grand Order, Girls' Frontline, etc.): gambling and related rushes of dopamine

t. retard

Drodos autochess off course, his version is already the best on android and his pc version powered by unreal will kill the rest (like fortnite)

>implying the ability to get more RNG rolls means there's something else in the game besides RNG
card games have had mulligan mechanics for decades, yet everyone will agree that one good or bad draw can make or break a match.
retards who move goalposts should be publicly shot or otherwise ejected from the gene pool

It's a boring waste of time, if you already watched a stream and didn't get the appeal then you won't get the appeal by playing it either, it's basically a severely dumbed down card game for gacha-tier kids.

Yeah this. It's basically a decisionmaking game. You need to know when it's best to save money and how to manage your economy, when to reroll, buy levels, which units you should sell if you fail to get more of them, manage the space on your bench, which synergies are still possible if you replace your weakest links and stuff like that. It's mostly strategy with some RNG to guarantee replayability and to give everyone different chances.

Sometimes you get lucky though, like one time I got Strange Bedfellow in the first 3 games and then I got demons in basically every one and ended up stomping everything into the ground and winning with 100 health. And sometimes you get incredibly unlucky and can't even get a 2-star unit because nothing you go for shows up more than once or twice.

If your comp is not good enough to sustain at least 10 rounds of bad rolls you are relying ONLY on RNG to carry you like a fucking retard, which seems to be the case with your way of thinking. This is not moving goalposts you utter mongoloid, this is just stating facts about how the game works, since you have no idea what you are talking about.

Streamers don't actually have to pretend they play games while reading their donations.

*Strange Bedfellows in the first 3 rounds
