Now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that the ending wasn't as bad as we all thought it was back then?

No.

>5 years

What the fuck bros....

I only played it years after it was released with all DLCs and I loved it.

No, it was trash then and it's trash now.

It was bad I sat there speechless while watching my Shepard I'd had for 6 years disintegrate before my eyes and all the mass relays blow up felt bad man

hell no

Literally the best ending in the entire series lol. Only incels are mad about the ME3 ending. Probably the same niggers that play Witcher’s 3 and FFXIV

>make a game where your choices matter
>they actually dont

I'm still fucking mad.

I only played it two months ago and I thought it was absolutely terrible

I just realised that hating on the ME3 ending is popular here, so now I like the ending

I didnt even thought it was that bad in the first place. Disappointing? Yes. Not enough to get me to go on a fucking endless rage over it.

Actually they did! By default the explosion had only one color. With certain choices you could unlock up to two more colors!

Problem, organic?

No, it was worse.
What the FUCK were they thinking with the crucible
>the reapers scour the galaxy meticulously for thousands of years after they wipe out the dominant race
>to the point that the Ilos survivors were a miracle
>but they also ignore something that each race has been working on after they discover the reapers (despite the fact that the reapers deliberately attack the citadel first and cut the galaxy off from the relays)
It makes absolutely no goddamn sense

>your choices ever mattering in Mass Effect

I just realized that liking what the largest group hates is popular here, so now I go with the consensus because contrarianism is too mainstream.

Strawberry JAM and CEM made the game a 10/10 for me

We have dismissed this claim

How's JAM compared to MEHEM?

it wasn't a threat since no cycle could ever finish it before the reapers got down to business. reapers underestimated the cumulative progress being made on the crucible from cycle to cycle.

The crucible wasnt ignored. Starchild clearly states that theyre aware of it, and that they thought they had done away with it, but that clearly organics were more resourceful than they thought because of them doing it again.

This but unironically. At least if you play the trilogy with all DLCs

I remember these videos. What was the youtube?

I dunno, isn't it the same basically?
Just removing any instance of the fucking kid is god's work.
If only the cringy assassin were so easily removed.

I just wanted to live on Rannoch with my girl with the rest of our lives in the house we built with our own hands. Is that so much to ask?

>all galaxy life on brink of annihilation
>war reaching final stages
>maximum focus, oranisation and fight required
>all the whores on your crew: "make love to me Shepard"
fuck outta here you scummy pieces of shit we got a galaxy to save. go play with the shower head or something you psychopaths.

So the plot relies on meticulous and ruthlessly logical machines transforming into a lobotomised Dr Klaw? What a wonderful improvement.

Deus Ex HR had a very similarly shittily executed set of endings/moral choices
>final room has 3 "win the game" buttons that each just play a different final cutscene monologue

they were being logical. it was a statistical certainty that the crucible wouldn't be finished

How could they add to it if they didn't even know what it's supposed to do?

Deus ex Machina of the worst kind

Nope. It was terrible. Every choice made amounted to nothing. The game took a serious nosedive after the Tuchanka arc. The writing was awful in comparison to the previous games. No length of time will redeem this piece of shit game. It killed my love of the franchise.

Blueprint said put dick in vagina, didn't say what would end up happening by doing so. It's retarded.

Its not a stretch to believe that shit willl slip through the cracks of the Reapers' plans considering that theyve been doing what theyve been doing for untold millenia. It was bound to happen.

Because the plot in 3 said it was.
Per ME1 the logical response would have been to take no chances and blow it up anyway, like they did with literally everything else they found that could link back to them.

protheans found out that the citadel was the conduit but ran out of time so they left that knowledge with a VI. liara also stores a shitload of info on everything they knew in case future cycles needed to find it. that's how, each cycle left a little bit of extra info for the next cycle to find and use.

That is the reason Ilos flew under the radar once.
The crucible was explicitly worked on by multiple races, and it somehow fell through the cracks every time? Despite them explicitly scouring the galaxy for millennia after their victory?
That’s just lazy writing.

the crucible had never linked back to them though. it never worked so they didn't give 2 fucks about it until shitty plot dictated that this cycle managed to finished without all that much extra effort. the bad part isn't the reapers not destroying it, it's that it was magically able to be finished thanks to friendship.

/thread
OP is retarded.

the crucible might as well have been a paperweight to the reapers for countless cycles as it never worked. clearly they watched it fail so many times that they never felt the need to search for and destroy it every time.

It's the same argument zoomers use to defend games today.
>Well I never experienced the broken promises so it's not as bad
>Well I've never played a game without microtransactions so it's normal now
>Well I've played through RDR2 three times and it's the best game I've ever played

>i played fallout 3 for 500 hours so it's obviously a great game

I told you, it didnt exactly flew under the radar. The Reapers were aware of the crucible and they thought that it was a nothing burger, but they underestimated organics.
Fuck out of my face with your moving goal posts shit. First it was your issue with the crucible, but you didnt even know, and now its about the quality of the writting. Im not debating that shit. Go do some hardworking writing of your own then if youre still that mad about ME3.

The ending sucked but at least ME3 had a really fun multiplayer.

Never played fallout, it seemed like a poor man's elder scrolls

There's a cutscene after the explosion, you know, and the decisions you made affect that by quite a bit, in conjunction with the ending you chose. For example, with Tuchanka, there's several different factors that change how it turns out: Ending Choice, the Krogan Leader, and if you cured the Genophage. And if the Rachni are alive, and the Krogan aren't, the Rachni populate Tuchanka instead. That's a ton of different endings, all stemming from choices you made. The original ending was shit, but the extended cut was... ok.

The buttons at least had slightly different dialogue if you were pacifist/violent.
