I’ve been stuck in Central Yharnam for almost four hours now. Pathetic I know.
How do I get good?
Just keep playing
I think the English voice acting is done really well though
Clear areas enemy by enemy, don't rush in head first.Try to learn parry timings, CY is literally the tutorial mode of the game.
Most important of all, find shortcuts, it will save you tons of frustrations.
Work on your gun parrying, those big fat brute guys are excellent to practice on eventually you'll be able to destroy bosses with it
Press the attack button to hurt your enemies until their health is depleted. The key is to watch out for a number popping alongside their health, that should indicate you've managed to land a hit
Central Yharnam is trial by fire tutorial. BB was my first Soulsborne game and I spent like 5 hours dying there before the game "clicked" with me. Once you get out of there you will progress through the rest of the game pretty fast. Make sure you understand the shortcut system so you can rush back to the boss without having to fight past all the enemies on the way to him every time you die
>tfw enemies can climb ladders and pausing the game doesn’t actually paise it
>tfw enemies can climb ladders
wtf they can?
Central Yharnam when you are starting out is like the hardest part in the game, just keep going
Only the angry mob guys and other human-sized (or slightly bigger) bipedal enemies. Though I once did see a picture of a brick troll climbing a ladder. It may have been from an early build of the game or something though because they really can't climb ladders
They can indeed if they're humanoid
im stuck at Ludwig, any tips?
Which weapon did you pick? Cane is hard to use for noobs while axe has spin 2 win move that destroys everything in first half of the game and saw cleaver is best weapon in the game in general.
>any tips
Hope it'll help you bro.
He's relentless if you don't pay attention to his moveset. Pay attention, and you'll see the openings very clearly. Alternatively, if you're still having trouble, just equip the the impurity rune and summon Valtr right outside the fogwall.
The first form is about surviving it should be easier after the second form if you avoid the big charge up move
Literally git gud, learn his moveset and when it's safe to attack him. He's first actually hard boss unless you're overleveled and stun the shit out him.
I was stuck in Central Yharnam for 4 hours too and I later plat the game. Like it's been said, the whole area is basically tutorial level.
I gave up after platinuming then trying the first boss of the DLC
Dude just summon like we all did
you're stuck becaue gascoigne is the biggest roadblock you'll ever find in the game
> missing by far the best the game has to offer
why?
>like we all did
This post was weirdly comforting. I beat the base game on my own but I had to use summonings for every DLC boss except Maria.
learn his moveset and pay attention to his screams, they usually give away the move ludwing's about to use
There should have been extra dialogue if you wore the Doll's clothes and talked to Gehrman.
The boss was too spastic even for bloodborne
Souls games tend to use stage actors for their VAs, and it shows
Ludwig is unironically the most fair boss in the game
In his first phase, literally the only part you have to be conscious of is not staying on top of him too much
This causes his to 'buck' and do heavy damage
His too ceiling drops are based either on timing (the first, where you roll exactly one second after he leaps) or audio (the delayed, where you roll exactly when he screams)
His four hit swipe combo is the best for free damage
One out of two of his water jets is also very punishable, the other is simply a reset
Remember: he's a beast in phase one, so serrated shits out damage
In phase two, all of his moves save two can be easily i-framed
When he 'parts the seas' run directly behind him
If he charges up a thrust, dash at him diagonally instead of through it directly like his sweeps
You'll get two viscerals, so that's nearly a third of his phase 2 health gone for free
Ludwig is overall one of the best designed Souls bosses
>like we all did
Projecting
Don't let that faggot speak for everyone. Summoning in any From game ruins the fight, and you're lesser than for doing it. I'm so glad they took out all online features in Sekiro.
