I WANT ROLL.EXE TO SIT ON MY FACE
Also I can't decide between 3 or 6. For sure not 5.

>For sure not 5.
Even with the party battle system and QoL changes with the touch screen menus? Some might even prefer double soul to crosses. Then again Cross did some neat shit by combining them with beast out which was more interesting than chaos souls.

Goddammit Yea Forums why are you so fast at this hour of the morning?

Roll's not even the best BN girl.

What's so special about 5 DS?

Network Transmission on Gamecube.
It has the best music.

Biggest difference is the party battle system. Lets you have 2 navi apart from megaman on you during most portions, they also have simplified navi customizers. Some interfere far too often in fights if you enable their support skills. Tomahawk regularly mows down mystery data while attacking enemies. You can also switch between them on the fly and some combinations have combo attacks that trigger if you switch while having a full synchro.

Also has Bass Cross which was an e reader exclusive in the base games but you probably won't use them ever since they require cheats or 100% save file colonel/protoman games inserted in the GBA slot.

Pic related.

It's been a while since I played BN5, if you start a game with Bass Cross or Sol Cross, does it become your default form, or is it togglable? Do you have to get them when starting a new game, or can you unlock them later?

If you have the games inserted, it'll give you a prompt whenever you load up your file. So the only way to go back to normal is to reset the game and load up the file again except this time you say no to the prompt.

Shameless bump.

2-3 is so incredibly overrated. No counter hit bonus, bad art style, bad bosses, style change was completely inferior to souls.

Even 4 is unironically better.

>Even 4 is unironically better.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

3 had counters but only worked for bugfrag farming. No double damage on next hit.

I agree

3 probably gets love because people liked the whole undernet ranking shit and the plot.

3

I've never understand this as a selling point for the games, the plot in every installment is pretty crap but that's not exactly why people play them in the first place. The games have never been praised for plot, they are like pokemon games.

>the plot in every installment is pretty crap
You take that back this instant!

Presentation is always important hence why people despised the horribly stiff tournament centered arcs 4 had.

They're saturday morning cartoon tier but fuck you, I like them and I like the characters. It's why I can never buy into anybody who says Shanghai is basically the same thing.

I actually really liked the liberation mission srpg stuff and the double soul mechanic trumps style change, so 5 DS. 6 is 2nd place

Man of patrician taste. You HAVE done a buster only run, right?

Attached: 1451882173413.jpg (1024x576, 51K)

5DS > 6 > 5 > 3 > 2 > NT > 4 > 1 >BCC This is true, fight me

The Localization of BN4 was trash. I guess that in the Japanese script Mega Man was wondering about the pronoun used by Chisao.

The plot in 2 is the only really stand out good one, and only since its not censored and has some funny stereotyping.

Buster gets extremely busted later on, so a buster-only run isn't such a great feat...

True, but the beginning is hell. And it does imply no invis or popup BS

So I should play BN5 DS instead of the GBA versions?

I didn't like 2 that much, every enemy felt so HP bloated somehow and gettings chips was always a hassle, but I'm having so much fun with 3 right now. The customizer is a cool mechanic, the styles are fun (only drawback is element being tied by luck) and the Net was easy to navigate unlike the past games.

Post Roll without her helmet.

5

Yes.

So yesterday I reached and defeated Serenade (first try even) so now I'm looking for good chips and PAs to use against Bass. What could be a good strategy?

Here user.

Fuck Press and fuck Bubbleman.

3 isn't much better, though. 4 is hated because of all the glitches.

I wonder what her butt smells like.

The DS version makes the GBA versions obsolete, unless voice clips cause you to freak out

Use a chip to remove his aura and then fuck his shit up with Plasma3/Arrow3/Killer Eye3/Flash Man stunlock while using the IceStage program.

>BN thread
>no one mentions the remake of the first game on the DS
Why aren't you playing Operate Star Force right now? It got a complete English translation more than a year ago.

>Why aren't you playing Operate Star Force right now?
Because it's a shitty remake of a shitty game.

Even if you don't like the voice clips, there's a patch to remove them.

I don't have the Ice Stage Program but I could use the chip (and I'm in Aqua Style to that helps) and I have like three NrthrnWind. I'll try that.

2,3,5 and 6 are all good despite some serious gameplay issues. It's not 1 or 4 levels of bad but still are very competent games.

2 cripples you with style change elements, is abit slow (not as slow as 1), 3 is a step up from 2 but its riddled with shit like needing navicust to access maps, although the payoff of thinking outside the box is good(combo chips) you need to get a teamstyle change to really get all the chips, it also has the most extensive endgame things to do. 5 sucks because your folder will be alphabet soup for almost 2/3rds of the game and the liberation missions arent that good. 6 is the most streamlined of them all but the endgame(unless you play the translated version) is inferior to 3.

All in all, I enjoyed all the games and will replay them when i get the chance.

>that map
god BN1 was a clusterfuck to navigate

>Be excited because a cross-over game between BN and SF got announced
>It's fucking BN1 with an extra scenario

I will never stop being mad about this.
