Seriously what is the point in fucking over offline? I get some of you are defending it to the hilt for some reason because you only play online but some of us don't and we've just been fucked over hard for no good reason. Even the MK11 devs, as fucking horrible as they are now, quickly resolved the currency issue in their game so are you telling me Beenox is actually worse than them? I just don't understand how developers can be so fucking incompetent in updating a game that was so well made, it reminds me of Shadow Warrior 2 which was great on release but updates made it absolute shit.

Pretty sure you can stay in 5% in the Nitro leaderboard if you just do all the challenges, the Nitro you get outside of them is too small, not too many people will grind for it.

Changing it to easy AI for the two races was an easy boost of Nitro for me.

Go into Airplane mode then switch back once the race starts. That's what I did.

I've found that besides the 5x, 10x online races, you were really better off grinding offline anyway. It's not the most exciting but the coin model in this game is fucking awful whether you're playing online or offline.

And while it's not pardoning the model, you only need to be connected to online, not paying for the subscriptions to gain the currency. Though it does suck for those who can't maintain online 100% of the time, or for when the servers go down eventually, but hopefully there'll be a way to gain content 100% offline by then.

Online isn't nearly as bad as offline for the bonuses alone. Something needs to be done about the coins in general because people don't need gimped rewards to keep playing, if the game is good they'll play regardless, and punishing players with shit rewards only erodes the good that is there.

After a race you can see a breakdown of how you earned the coins, if it doesn't say x5 next to your coins you have to wait until your bonus refreshes.

Championship points. It’s another way of getting the championship kart. Be too 5% in Nitro at the end of the event or top 5% in championship and you get it. Seems like Nitro is easier though, I’m in the top 0.1% of PS4 Nitro gatherers already with barely any effort.

Lots of grinding, but thankfully the stuff in the Pit Stop is permanent. The Nitro rewards are added to the Pit Stop a mo th or two after the event ends, so technically nothing is missable. Except for one item, the championship kart. You need to be in the top 5% of players at the end of the event to get it.

First of all, colors and skyboxes were like half of what made Spyro feel mystical and gave the series its charm. Secondly, the mountain in the remake looks like some kid stuck hammy layers of play-doh together, especially on the left side. It's a fucking mess and completely clashes with the original art direction of Spyro.

All the other items today are new cosmetics too. Isabella and Megumi aren’t available yet. For Tawna and other Nitro stuff, you have to earn Nitro by doing challenges to get them. Tawna herself doesn’t take too long to get.

You need to use the team kart for those challenges, not characters. If it says TEAM then it's talking about the karts unlocked from adventure. All the challenges involving characters mention those characters specifically like the ones with Polar and Tawna.

When I did it I used R2 the whole way and it worked. You have to avoid all crates, items, boost pads and walls to get it to register, and you can’t stop moving at all. It fucks up if you get hit by an enemy’s weapon too. And don’t ever go off the track onto the grass.

I’m at 14.3k right now user, we’ll get there. This event is designed to be played all month and we’re only one day in, so there’s plenty of time. We’ve gotten well ahead of the pack right out the gate which increases our odds of being top 5% in the end drastically, even if the top autists get millions of Nitro they’re still ahead of us and it doesn’t change the percentages.

Probably all the challenges, even with the 50% boost from all the correct items your online Nitro winnings are still only in the double digits. It wouldn’t surprise me if some are getting a good amount of them from online though, the top rated PS4 player currently on the Championship leaderboard has 1531 points. Assuming he got 12 each race because he won them all, he’s done 128 races online today.

You can do that one offline, it has USF so again easy AI, sit behind AI until final lap then actually play decently, maybe picking up a mask in the first or second lap.

In all honesty the online one is more cancer. Pray that no one in your room understands USF, or that the host DC's and everyone becomes AI, or use the network disconnect bug other anons were talking about.

Yes basically you'll need to play Crash Cove 8 times online and get 1st/2nd/3rd/etc at least once. Get a list handy you'll want to remember which ones you've already done because it doesn't tell you.

200 trophies, 11,000 nitro, according to my quick maths two hours ago I was pretty safely in upper middle 5%. I also have no doubt in my mind ill be lower bottom edging out of it by the evening today.

Nitro points, and yes it is minimal on the rewards from racing, but it affects the rewards from challenges, so that 500 NP from a challenge becomes 750 NP with 50% bonus.

I really REALLY hope Sorceress and Gnasty are jape names and that they're really Elora and Bianca, but I'll live with just Spyro and Hunter if worst comes to worst.
