Everyone I know that played the early access version that opened up last Friday ended up clearing everything before the weekend was over and have now moved on to gearing up their other classes or DoH/DoL stuff instead
You can grind out the current max iLevel equipment and then unsubscribe until the next patch gets added in a couple of months. Until then there's no longer any point in revisiting old content because the gear threadmill ensures that all the old equipment is trash tier now. If you still want to be challenged by the tons of old trials and raids then you can forget all about it, because the mere existence of unsynched kills and The Echo means no one will want to do old content at the appropriate level.
Missed your turn because you didn't play the game two years ago? Want to farm the SB mounts so you can show them off to your friends? Too bad, now you have to do it at level 80 where you can roll your face on the keyboard and overkill most of the bosses. And that's without taking the dreadful combat system into account; every class is so fucking simplistic and boring that you can learn how to play most of them in literally 10 minutes

It's a bit weird, but you actually use Anatman in your opener just to get one stack of GL faster than doing three GCDs, but because Anatman grants GL based on server tick its always going to be RNG when you get that extra stack, but it will never take longer than three seconds and you're not missing out on damage not getting it on the dot. The community is quick to downplay criticims of the game- and while i can personally tolerate the leveling experience I detest how brainless the jobs feel and how monotonous they feel after a few weeks or months at level cap. Each content cycle is EXACTLY the same as the last just with a different skin.

FFXIV needs to expand the existing jobs with builds, talent trees, or a functional cross-class ability system instead of adding more jobs. Shadowbringers seemingly did the opposite by neutering healers.

It goes by so fast nowadays as well, you used to have to grind fates just to do the msq in early ARR now you get more than enough exp just from the quests to breeze through the whole ARR campaign.

I played 12 hours every day from the minute early access went up and I just finished the msq 4 hours ago. There is an overwhelming amount of content in this expansion.

No I was comparing it to an actually bad leveling system that I experienced and contrasted it to a good experience for any mmo in ARR. ARR is far better than any other mmo I have played with it's level pacing and skill progression.

Dancer is better than I thought it would be because it is really fun to play, the dps may suck but since I proudly parse grey in every previous expansion that has literally no bearing on me.

They need to stop balancing the game around raiding. Raiding itself is fine, but all gear, skills, quests, world mobs, basically everything, ends up balanced around it, and anything that's not is put in a bubble (Eureka, BLU, PvP, etc.). If it comes to it, they should put raiding in a bubble instead, the game would be better for it.
