A Risk of Rain anime could be cool. I'm picturing a 12-episode short series with each episode focusing on a different survivor, showing them fighting through hordes of aliens while trying to survive not only the hostile environment but also the horrific side effects of the powerups they collect as is implied in the logs.
No names are given, no faces shown, very little dialogue. Just 15 minutes of high octane suffering per episode.
