Why was it so much easier than undertale?

Because it wasn't a full game and you were already used to the combat system.

was it autism

Because it's only chapter 1. Undertale wasn't difficult except for a couple of bosses you had to go out of your way to fight. There will be more Jevil-tier bosses, if not harder ones.

Cause you are not forced to not level up? Cause you don't have to be super careful since the story is way more linear? Either, or both.

You have a lot more base health and there's a way to heal yourself without using items. Also, if you're playing pacifist guarding is pretty much the only non act your characters will ever do, which means you are going to take less damage than usual from most enemies. You can also now act and spare in the same turn, meaning you can end most battles with 1 enemy instantly. I don't think any of this will be an issue as long as there's a hidden superboss every chapter like Jevil though. We also played what is pretty much the tutorial and the game could stand to get harder, I doubt it will get that much harder, because I don't think Toby is trying to make the main content too challenging

what are all the secret bosses in undertale anyway, or secrets in general
I kind of want to do another pacifist run without missing anything this time

Better question. Why was the story Undertale Lite?

The only secret enemies i know of are So Sorry and Glyde. You'll have to look it up to know how to reach them.

>7 years

A bulk of the secrets are the Gaster events which are better looked up (RNG to see them and will require multiple runs iirc). There's no secret superboss type of thing like Jevil, unless you count Glyde and So Sorry as that. Most of the other miss-able things are just dialogue options and jokes.

idk maybe Toby knows his core audience is a bunch of babies

there's a reason why that jester guy is optional

>mfw the switch version has an exclusive secret boss

Hey, we got around 6 and a half years to wait now, not 7 :^)

>Undertale light
>An almost completely new story utilizing the opposite concept of Undertale
>Ensures the tumblr trash is kept at bay for the most part while also presenting new fluent gameplay
The fuck man?

it's not even done yet, stoopid. a better comparison would be this vs the undertale demo. which in that case: it's more 'difficult' and has way more content to offer.

I meant stuff like getting into sans's room and lab, I guess the gaster stuff falls under that too
I don't know how to do any of that or how much of that stuff there is, and a lot of it gets locked completely if you miss it the first time and you have to start over from the beginning which is really annoying

>utilizing the opposite concept of Undertale
huh

It ain't finished b.
Chapitre Un

Undertale lets the environment be altered by your actions.
Deltarune presents the idea that you're not actually in control of anything at all and there's nothing you can really change.

What most people mean by the secret bosses are the ones on other routes.

I wonder how difficult Undertale was for people. I'm pretty good at "bullet hell" sidescrollers, so all of those attacks that seem really hard to avoid I just weave through it all intuitively. The only bosses that took me more than one attempt were Undyne and Metaton's human form.

>didn't do genocide

Attached: 1555011774686.gif (480x480, 71K)

I still need to do a genocide run. I've done neutral and pacifist

desu just get saves for Undying and Sans
the only thing you'd be missing is the soulless grind to get there

>teleports behind you
tss, nothing personal kid

Attached: jerma.jpg (935x1008, 49K)

you're literally missing the entire point of the genocide route if you do that you dumb faggot

I'm so shit that I never beat Jevil even after a ton of tries.

>How did Frisk leave the Underground in the Neutral route if he didn't get Asgore's soul, since you need a human and a monster soul to leave?
>Why did Alphys help you if you killed Undyne?
>In Genocide, Undyne brags about how they already alerted Asgore to use the souls and prepare for you, but he's done literally nothing by the time you reach him. Why?
>What exactly is the mechanism that allows Chara to control Frisk?

CHAOS CHAOS

Attached: Jevil6.png (1816x1056, 43K)

the only thing stopping me from doing a genocide run is the absurd amount of time farming exp.

that being said, Deltarune is only a demo at the moment and I feel there are too many spots between fights to get healed without it being tedious on top of ralsei being able to heal during bosses

Attached: jevil5.png (742x479, 101K)

>it's assumed the 6 human souls let you out after omega flowey
>alphys admits that she hasn't seen the video of the fight yet and never does presumably
>asgore doesn't use the souls because if he is too nice and would rather be killed
>frisk gives control of his soul to chara at the end of genocide, that's why you can "never" get the good ending after

why does deltarune have to exist and ruin my happy ending
why can't toriel be my mom and have the whole game be doing comfy activities with her and the other freed monsters on the surface instead of having that psycho chara show up again
it's not fair

Attached: 1531821328834-e.gif (500x463, 1.92M)

It's an entirely different universe you whiny anime poster
Don't worry, your precious happy ending is still safe and secure

Let me guess, you never even killed a single monster and flat out refuse to?

jevilposting was based

I did genocide you stupid nigger and then wiped my save to keep it completely untainted because fuck you

Why is Kris such a filthy, Scalia degenerate? Did he learn it from his brother?

>entirely different universe
what's the point of having returning characters if they have completely different memories and backstories to the ones you got attached to
also you're full of shit I don't buy that

Attached: 1503110036590.gif (540x304, 1.26M)

Congratulations! You missed the entire point just because you were scared of having to own up to what you did!

I'm sure the mere 0's and 1's that make up the living Undertale characters are happy with your decision.
Toby Fox worked on Homestuck to. He just stole the Scratch mechanic of Homestuck where an entire universe resets where the original occupants live completely different lives. It's the exact same fucking thing in Deltarune cause he can't make an original concept to save his life.

If the game has the player on some Blick Winkel shit, you bet I'm going to play the part and actually manipulate files. If anything, doing genocide and not having a plan to undo it is just being irresponsible as an extradimensional nigger.
