Widowmaker in Overwatch is way worse.

>grappling hook gives her CC immunity so her intentional counters can't actually counter her
>bug let her launch herself in the air over walls and shoot which was left in because the lead balance designer mains her and said it "doesn't change her powerlevel"
>has no actual counter so even at the highest level of the game (overwatch league) the only answer to Widowmaker is forcing a duel with your own Widowmaker


At least the AWP is expensive. Widowmaker would be like if the AWP was free but only 1 person on each team could use it and also had an extra ability to stay out of range of everyone else not using the AWP.

There is literally nothing wrong with the AWP
It costs a ton and you can hunt down the guy who has it and steal it for your team

CS is all about sightlines. If you see someone first with any proper gun, it doesn't matter if they have an AWP or not, you get the kill.

I always rush awps if I'm at a decent distance and I have a rifle or SMG, 99% of awpers have no fucking clue what to do when you are right beside them shooting into their torso and they can't aim worth shit there either, if I'm near a corner or there is cover between us and they don't have a godly spot I usually get the kill.

CS in general would be way more balanced if Counter-strafing was removed.

There is no repercussion to running in this game when you can tap the opposite direction for .1 seconds and become 100% standing still accurate.
