i think skywayrd sword did a lot of cool things right remembering back to the one and only time i played it back in 2011
but i remember being tremendously disapointed by how pointless the sky is and exploring it is and also how segmented the levels are.
I replayed twilight princess over and over because I loved how connected everything is and the atmosphere is so comfy. Its the only game I remember fondly playing at 2 am on a school night. well ocarina of time and majora's mask too. I discovered zelda then and got all the games around then

SS will never be regarded as better than any other 3D Zelda. But it did at least have dungeons and decent music, which were sorely missing from BotW.

doesn't the cycle say that botw should have been hated then? there are legit criticisms people bring up about the game but the general consensus seems to still be that it was a good game.
