STOP BUYING GAMES until you FINISH YOUR BACKLOG.
STOP BUYING GAMES until you FINISH YOUR BACKLOG
b-b-but theyre on sale!!
I'M TRYING GOD DAMN IT
I'm actually making good progress, and I've already decided I'm not buying any games on Steam this sale.
The problem is that most of my backlog is games I don't yet own because I'm cheap. The only backlog that would get in the way are emulated games and half of them aren't working because I'm a brainlet. I DID cross one off the list today though.
BUT WHAT IF THE EBAY KEKS RAISE THE PRICE?
Just for that I'm buying another game
Weebs btfo
I will never ever finish all the games I have in my backlog
Flip Flappers game when?
Not if you keep buying new ones.
I haven't bought a game in nearly 2 years.
I haven't finished a game in nearly twice that long. Nothing goes on sale for anything close to a decent price like it did back in the day (and I mean 2010 with flash deals and shit), and there hasn't been any new games to make me even want to buy them either, not even the indie garbage everyone seemingly lost their minds over then forgot about like risk of rain, stardew valley, starbound, darkest dungeon, don't starve, etc. They all looked like shit and a month after they came out everyone stopped playing them so thankfully I dodged a bullet.
But I also don't want to play older games, because why the fuck bother? I sit down, play them, and nothing comes of it, just feels like a waste. So instead I come on Yea Forums and waste even more time.
I have been playing let it die again since the new season started. At least it's sorta fun. They throw out so much of the premium currency that even without dropping more than $1 to get a 10 death metal deal I'm always full stocked on express passes and am capable of going through all 100 floors.
NO
I'm not buying the next gen so eventually the backlog will decrease
If they're in my backlog then maybe I don't really want to play them.
So you want me to never get a new game ever again?
I CANNOT!!!
but i loved you, user....
don't buy them then
I did, but I'm about to fill a 3rd 4TB hard drive with games I'm technically adding to my "backlog" without buying
>Backlog has 500 games
>New games I want to play come out around 7-8~ times a year
>Only beat around 20-30 a year
A backlog is supposed to supplement gaps in the year, not be your #1 priority. If you do that it's a chore, if not it's a comfy game giving machine
I guarantee you'll never play 1/3 of them.
What if I buy them with the intention to play them thinking I will enjoy it but am proven otherwise?
I just bought Postal, Postal 2 and that new expansion on GOG.com despite having bought them (besides the new expansion) on DotEmu already. Too late.
Why touch the backlog when I can just keep with the same old few instead.
AUUUUUUGGGGggghhhhhh.....
>finish backlog
>nothing left to play
well if you play them then find out you don't like them they are taken off your backlog and become uh a game you don't like or something
no
This
dumb puppy
But one of the games in my backlog is Nier Automata, and that game bored me in the 3 hours I tried it.
Don't tell me what to do, MOM!
I don't have a backlog.
How do you do to combine games of the backlog and new released games?
>PERSONA 4
>FFX
>Ace Attorney
>Attack on Titan 2
>Dragons Dogma
>Steins;Gate elite
>Dragon Quest XI
>Katamari Damacy
>Psychonauts
>Yakuza 0
>KOTOR
Really want to try FF14 on top of all this which I'd imagine would eat up all of my time. The big rpgs are really what's killing me. So far I've stuck with P4, any suggestions how I should proceed?
...ok.
Play Ace Attorney you can get through it in a sitting or two
I bought Katamari Damacy Reroll and finished it four hours later. Just do it.
that's how I normally do it, short games first just to get momentum going
How do you pronounce Cocknoas rabbits name?
Don't call good games garbage you jaded cunt or I swear to God......
>buying games
(You)coozcooroo
what if i wanna play the same two or three games forever, huh?
Who else /never had a backlog because they play what they want, when they want and don't care if there are games they don't play/
so dont buy anything for 4 years? okay cute anime character that may or may not have a penis.
You could have told me this ten years ago
Based thread
Thank you. Its a cute rabbit
>backlog for fucking video games
i shiggy diggy
>never finished bloodborne
>bought sekiro anyway
I don't have a backlog and barely buy games. I'm a depressed jaded fuck who just plays path of exile all day and the occasional FROM game
Not with that attitude!
Bought so many new games which I thought I will play extensively, like 3K, but ended up subscribing to wow and mindlessly grinding like a retard.
I'M REALLY TRYING!!
Do it. I would prioritize playing multiplayer games if you’re interested in them since you can’t count on playerbases sticking around forever
honestly, no i won't
the whole backlog mentality is what got me burnt out on video games as a whole. The whole "i need to get through this so i can play x!" or "i can't play this game until i beat Y!, better grind it" idea would really fuck with my enjoyment of any game. now i don't worry about backlogs or anything of that sort. If i want to play a game and i don't have it I buy it, if i want to play a game and i already beat it i play it again. Fuck backlogs, video games should be fun, its not your job
Why would I play new and exciting games instead of playing the same shit I've been playing for the past 6 years???
i have fucking 203 games , 15 of them are in the "complete tag" 100% with all archivements done.
I want to play and finish most of my games but freaking cant because being a grown up is bullshit , you have money but you have no time to play the games FUCK THIS GAY EARTH
>finished backlog long ago
>backlog was never that long anyway because somewhat picky
>now when I finish a game it's panic stations as I'm not sure what to play next
user, I have a long life ahead of me, that means I can beat my backlog in the number of decades I have left on this Earth.
Life goes into warp speed when you hit 25.
>having nothing to play
>cant find anything worth playing
>never had a backlog
what is it like, to still enjoy vidya?
I buy them in case I’m unemployed or underemployed. Obviously I won’t spend all that time playing vidya but I also don’t want to be bored out of my mind in the meantime.
Pretty much this unless you're in prison where it slows down to a crawl
I'm not gonna buy a game that's not on sale
So I'll buy it and save it for later !
