My biggest concern is that even if they do try to return to it, they won't have any idea of where to go with the story. Fuck cliffhanger endings. MMZX ended just fine and didn't need a story sequel like Advent.

There's certainly a possibility. Capcom was pretty pleased with how 11 did (On track to be the fifth Megaman game to have sold over a million copies). As long as they don't over saturate the market and keep making good Megaman games, I could see the series being back.

I kinda doubt it's gonna be back, at least, not in anywhere near the way in which it was. 11 was quite successful, but despite that capcom still didn't have anything Mega Man to show at E3 this year. Mega Man games are a prime example of the kind of cheap and short game that any company as large as capcom should be able to make in a year or less, and we got as many different sub series as we do because capcom thought they could afford to have them all running simultaneously. If that's not the case anymore, then it's hard for me to say that it's gonna be brought back for good. I fear that if anything that isn't classic comes back at all, it's gonna come be mobage only
