Nobody likes it cause you can brake the game by drawing certain types of magic into a certain type of GF and break the game.

Basically it's an amazing game with great characters and a fun story and memorable moments and a bitch for a princess but at least shes hot, so whatever you go to the moon to saver her or something.

because they chose to spend 5 hours drawing 300 of every spell and then teh game was too easy.

It's extremely ambitious and has a great world and characters and minigame but the junction system was either too complex for young kids at the time or too easily abused by giant fans. That and a few twists, despite not being able to be predicted, are extremely stupid.

The initial part of the game before you have the chance to roam the world freely can be very slow and parts like helping the owl resistance in Timber bored me when I first played it as a kid, you'll understand what I mean provided you get that far and not drop it immediately.

Nah, FFVIII is one of the few games in the series where the Blue Magic is pretty underwhelming. And like Kimahri from FFX, it's tied to her Limit Break, so she ends up feeling lackluster compared to the other characters.

Rinoa is absent from your party for the majority of the game, and her Limit Break is really unreliable. She's probably the least useful character in the game. Granted, the game isn't difficult enough to force specific party configurations, so use whomever.

for what purpose? sqeenix must know it would be a waste of resources. it's one of the shittier Final Fantasies; not Final Fantasy 2 shit, but still pretty shit. The gameplay was hated and it mostly only remembered thanks to peddling headcanon theories, like Squall died on disc 1 and that's why the entire game becomes increasingly nonsensical after disc 1 (even moreso than your average final fantasy).

To this day I still don't know if Squall can really dance or not.
