I used to play music during the 360 days because I thought the custom soundtrack feature built into the OS was cool as hell. Usually during multiplayer games of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, but my favorite time because it flowed so well with the game was playing Music for the Jilted Generation as I was playing Crackdown. Really went together well.

I'd like to recommend Curb Your Enthusiasm as a supplement to the Office. One of the comfiest shows ever aired. Even though it gets way more viscerally cringey than any of the shows it went on to influence, there's this odd comfort to it. The worst things that could possibly happen to Larry always do, but ultimately everything works out in a way and the characters just apologize to each other and move on. The characters speak to each other like you wish every irl conversation could go

The best way to use other media during a videogame is to keep it off until there's a part you fail multiple times or get frustrated by. Then you throw on a video or podcast or something to concentrate on something novel while you make further attempts
