They made everything into the biggest chore ever!
I legit played the game for 70 hours and my crafting levels were STILL low as fuck that I couldnt make weapons for my level, which was 80 or something. Also they made it so you have to eat BREAD to learn random recipes? What the actual fuck? God I hate RF4 so goddamn much!

How the fuck can anyone think 1, 2 and ToD aren't worse is beyond me. Playing them after 4 is a straight downgrade, as expected from previous entries yet generally doesn't seem to be the case for videogames.

4 feels like it was their first time making a RF game. Theres NOTHING in RF4 that felt like a upgrade, in fact I would say its one of the most step backwards game I ever played.
All the chores that were once fun to do became actually overwhelming. The visuals, even though its a 3DS game it looked like a DS game, which is amazing to me cuz other similar games like Ever Oasis and Fantasy Life looked great, they were what Rune Factory 4 should have looked like.
But the worst of it all was the waifus. It had THE most unoriginal wife picks in the entire series. One of them is literally Saber from Fate, no difference at all. Even their fucking swimsuits were plain colors bikinis. Just talking about that game ruins my day.

Music was pretty awful. Is it better in RF3?

I notice you didn't say anything at all regarding the fact that 1, 2 and ToD aren't downgrades. You literally cannot go back to those games and not feel off putting by how much better 4 is. I'm glad the masses agree too and they're remaking this game and not the shitty older entries.
