If the average female height is 5'6", then Link is 4'8". The average Nip female height is something like 5'1", so that means link is 4'3"

That's just the tunic though, I'd like the whole game to look like, says, Alttp's original artworks like pic-related or op's pic. Seeing the trend the seem to have with their games going with a specific artstyle (ie watercolour for SS, gouache for botw) , we'll have to wait after botw2 and see I guess.

Being shorter than an adult male, sure. Being shorter than an adult female when you're 17? Nah. If you're below 5'6" as a 17 year old then you're already doomed to permanent manletism, unless you hit a very late growth spurt (Not at all that common) you're at most going to gain an inch in height before you're all done and finished with puberty.

People have done most of their growth by 17 years. they basically don't grow anymore if they're female and even males won't drastically change.
Pop culture in general reinforces this mistake though, often casting shorter actors for younger roles or using techniques to make older teens appear shorter than proper adults, even though that's not really true. And of course, anime and such is pretty bad about it too since here they can just arbitrarily change characters' heights.

Their design philosophy with the switch is to have the player play for bit,get some stuff done, and then take a break. That was the point my of shrines. For this game they should design huge ass dungeons with that sort of philosophy were you have several task to complete in said dungeon and have to set up camp in safe spots when you want to take a break
