Use a speed character.
Follow oxide's ghost most of the time, you can get a boost on the right at the start before boosting to the left.
Don't use the mine shortcut, just hop/brake turn the spiral.
He speeds up dramatically on the last lap, if your previous two laps were good you should beat him easily though just follow his line near the finish.

Oh shit I read it wrong. In that case make sure you hit the shortcut in the first lap, you should be in front of the minecart and not get hit, not hard when you get the hang of it.
For that box you only need a little bit of a boost and hop directly under it but yeah the hitbox for it is stupidly small. Good luck.

Fastest offline nitro grind other than completing the tasks is the idle lab basement. 50 seconds wait for nitro and coins. Makes it a better investment for nitro than a standard race.

To be fair, they sold a special edition that honestly wasn't very special and unlocked stuff early for 50% more, so thanks people who bought the impatient edition!
