Install POSReady 7 for Win 7 security uodates until 2021 without having to pay for enterprise support. Then 8.1 Embedded Industry until 2023, it becomes a good OS once you install Open-Shell and disable tablet shit and hot corners. After that go balls deep into GNU+Linux.

I only use Win10 because my Win7 PC died. I'm too much of a poorfag to be able to afford the same original hardware which is about 5x the original cost due to its age and rareness.

MS forced mobo manufacturers to drop W7 support. If you want any drivers to work, you're on your own. By default you won't even be able to use MKB on installation.

I'm gonna switch to linux once 7 dies. Which sucks because it seems like a couple programs I use may or may not survive the jump but I can't tolerate microsoft anymore and it's at the point where I have to learn a whole new fucking OS to deal with it.

Steam only asks you for a hardware survey if you change hardware. You can force a Steam hardware survey if you want by entering any of the following in Run:

However I tried it and it got stuck on "sending data" so maybe it doesn't work.

Did you install the 1903 Windows update they released two weeks ago? It changes how Windows' scheduler works so its not strictly married to intcel architecture and Ryzen saw some massive gains

I had to use my mom's laptop for something yesterday and it had Win10, it was impossible to navigate or do anything.
I asked my mom if she understood how to use it and she was as equally confused as I was.
I thought the entire point of this garbage OS was that it was easy to use for 60+ year olds.
