I think he was talking about the designs from the '90s that was "sexier" and the publisher using the game to virtue signal about how sexy characters are bad. The actual devs told him to stop using their work for virtue signalling though.

I don't have a problem with sexy characters, my favorite game is VtMB which has a bunch of big-tittied half-naked women, but I'm okay with the character design in Ion Maiden too because it reminds me a bit of Trinity from The Matrix which I also like.

Yeah I know, the "sexy" design was fugly. It was literally a doodle on some school paper and looked like a pinup. Pinups belong in DOUK, not in Ion Maiden which is a somewhat serious, realistic cyberpunk setting.
Which is why I wonder why they would even think of using that character in the first place, and then use a completely different one with the same name.

It's called iron maiden war or some shit. generic mobile game. They claim ion maiden used the name deliberately to "trick" people into thinking it was embraced or endorsed by iron maiden. That's a huge majority of these cases. It's frivolous lawsuits, but iron maiden also has a team of 8 billion lawyers at beck and call.
