Starbound was a complete scam, it ended up being nothing it promised, the modding community even produced stretch goals as mods years before they were officially added.

I enjoyed building random houses/cities, but the story is abysmal. The combat can be tedious at times as well. But it was hilarious watching an entire village burn down because they built wooden houses on a planet with firestorms.
