There's a good reason for that. This game was the only thing which actually sold for KT. Because of this they know they can make money from it so they refuse to put it on discount because KT wants the few people they might trick into buying it to pay full price

BR actually has a solid battle system with nice supplementary mechanics like ether and fragments. The problem there is that the game is too forgiving and doesn't require you to manage your resources, meaning you can spam your best options without repercussion EVERY fight.

Gust works at such a breakneck speed at making games they don't have time to optimize. When Atelier Ryza comes out it will be the 6th Atelier game in under a year to come out because of the Arland ports.
As someone that bought all of their Vita games outside of Firis I'd stay away from the switch versions of everything but maybe the Arland Trilogy. Shit is only going to get worse once they have PS5, PS4 and Switch versions all going at the same time. The bulk of their sales are consoles so they'll focus on PS first and then throw it on Switch and ship it as is.

The physical copy was being sold at $20 for over a year straight. I don't think it bombed, but it also didn't do very well either. At the very least the physical copy vastly underperformed their expectations.

I'm not sure if it started with Lulua but I'm fairly sure they switched to a new engine for Ryza since they've been posting screenshots of the new lighting on their Twitter that actually looks fairly nice. At the very least wait for the Japanese release and Switch footage to come out before you buy it.
I used to buy them all on Vita too but I couldn't go straight from Vita to Switch for Gust games after seeing how all their Vita ports ended up midway through its life once PS4 hit and the port quality dropped further. I'd much rather play them at home and have them look and run nice than have another set of portable versions that cause headaches.

The good thing about that game are images, which you can download for free.
