autistic and fucked in the head, makes perfect sense that so many of them end up being trannies
>For this run we need to have 3 save files with 100% complete on them
>Now, before we start I'm going to start this file and beat the final boss
>Now I can start a new file and start the timer
>I'm going to jump here 3 times and and clip through this wall and done, I beat the game in 34 seconds
they're autistic but not the right type of autistic
Careful, you'll get banned
A 100m dash, a 5k, and a marathon are all considered races, but they all test different things. It's the same way with video game speed runs. A theoretical how fast can you get from the menu screen to the credits in any way is a just as valid as a 100% no glitches run.
Great, watching speedruns always is impressive
never understood the apeal of running a game 100+ time just to save seconds. They're prob all autistic
This is the worst kind of "speed run" and shouldn't be allowed on shit like GDQ and much less allowed to be a run incentive at all to come people into paying for 5 minutes of glitches. By that point, it's an exhibition and not a speed run. Same with any runs where all the player does it clip OoB all gone and barely actually plays anything.
Love 'em. The actual speedrunning-part is pointless but I enjoy the culture of analyzing old games to find out how they work and how they can be broken. The attention doesn't hurt either.
It's neat to see people glitch the fuck out of a game and finish it within an hour
It's lame when it's longer
they basically want to be the best at something, even if it's the most worthless fucking thing imaginable
it's like people who go "yeah I can balance a water bottle on my head for 4 days straight" so they can be in the guinness book of records
shoutout to Clunt Stevens
I think it’s fun to try and beat a game as fast as possible, but to spend weeks practicing the most efficient ways to shave a few seconds off your run is just autistic and not worth the effort. To me, at least
I'm fine with using glitches but having to do something on a different file before really pisses me off.
>phoneposter
you deserved that ban
They're genetic defects
What’s the appeal of running a race track 100+ times to save a few tenths of a second and get the best time?
I keep seeing this thumbnail on my youtube. Partt of me wants to click it because it's a cute shota, but the rest of me thinks it's soulless clickbait speedrun garbage

Interesting to see the techniques/routing but wasting hundreds of hours to save seconds is stupid
Absolutely
It was always a massively spergy scene, but at least prior to the advent of Games Done Quick and Twitch, it was relegated to a handful of sites that didn't attract much notoriety outside of their own communities.
I hope they enjoy what they do: some of the stuff they do is interesting to watch while a lot isn't.
Seeing the near absolute mechanical limits of a game being played is sometimes amazing, and sometimes downright autistic. It really depends on the game, the prevalent techniques used in a game's runs, and the categories. You can have a good game with a shit run because the optimal technique is something ultra autistic and unfun to watch, but having categories that ban certain boring techniques can keep a game interesting. Having a good runner helps too, especially if they actually explain what's going on so you can understand how much is really going into it.
I've watched it. if you're into speedrunning or wind waker it's mildly interesting.
I enjoy speedrunning. Some videos about how the world records for some games were whittled down over time got me into it and I've since learned to run one of my favourite games. I'm not any good at it, but it's an interesting activity.
It's healthy, boosts confidence and makes you lose weight and look better.
Autistic trannies.
>phoneposter that is legitimately upset they got banned for off topic shit
The fucking amazing part is that you probably genuinely don't get it.
fpbp
Gotta agree here, occasionally seeing crazy out of bounds shit is cool, but someone playing the game perfectly to get the fastest time possible is just more enjoyable
the sutpid bait thumbnail and title will make me never watch it
I got banned for something similar a while back.
How do you make a youtube thumbnail not clickbait? Just take a screengrab at complete random like the days of olde?
Entertaining to watch when is a hard or short game that requires a lot of skills to finish fast. Boring when is a long game that takes hours to complete even speed running or is finished using glitches that skip most of the game.
I love how Yea Forums has the social intellect of an ant
People enjoy things, retard.
As a curiosity or break between Speedruns having people exploit glitches is interesting. But I wouldn't put them in the same category as Beating a game 100% in 20 minutes. Specially in GDQ since is suppose to be an spectacle.
Please do not say the T-word
time save?
tool-assisted
I always found it autistic how runners would do things that would save a few frames or restart because of a MINOR mistake at the beginning and say "it all adds up at the end" but usually world record speedruns have big mistakes and suboptimal play in them.
TRANNY
Most/Certain speedruns are really cool. I like really movement optimization based stuff but also mind fuck glitchfests are great too. Skyward sword any% got blown wide the fuck open a few months ago from a major memory manipulation exploit and it cut a 5 hour run down to 2 and the explanations and runs are pretty cool to watch.
That said speedrunners are faggots and twitch meme culture taking over speedruns is awful. fucking sick of monkaS xd and donation airhorns.
This is the story of Yea Forums and sad people in general, someone will do something that requires a great deal of skill because they enjoy said thing, and Yea Forums will of course call them autistic because they're having fun doing what they want to do.
Sadly Yea Forums is incapable of ever changing and this same story is repeated constantly over the years, quite pathetic, glad to be a filthy crossboarder.
Dilate.
Die late
Wait no die soon rathet
I enjoy occasionally watching clips of them fucking up and exploding, but I'd never watch a full attempt, successful or otherwise.
>Comon Yea Forums, these people like doing speedruns playing the same game over and over again to save two seconds
>All while they feel hopeless and frustrated aat where their life is at and breaking their keyboards cause RNG screwed them over
And some people also like playing with dog turds.
refer to
>the people shitting on speedrunners are the sad ones
youtube.com
There are only two kinds of speedruns I enjoy watching, the Half life one speedrun with all the bunnyhoping and TAS where they beat some old NES game in like 4 minutes.
dumb phoneposters shitting up the place.
Fuck you nigger, you mad I get paid to shitpost from work?
Seethe.
