As a non-pirate, DRM is more shitty than it could ever be worth to put in. I guarantee these companies that put in Denuvo will subsidize streaming services like Stadia so that you have to play their games with the shittiest conceivable method just so that they have guaranteed money.
Companies are paying higher than a lot of indie games have in total budget just to reduce performance in the hope that pirates will cave in and buy it, proving at least that many pirates are fickle. It's a dark future, for sure.

You're not seeing the forest for the trees. If DRM becomes harder and harder to crack, eventually people will lose interest in pirating the game, and it will be potentially years later, if ever, that a game is unshackled. I think the best thing to do as a pirate would be to communicate with companies about what they are doing wrong and have them build on that so that piracy and DRM would not be a necessary loop to go through with every release.
