Give me a reason to buy one.
Astral Chain
If you haven't played any PS2/PS3 games and you don't have a PC powerful enough to emulate PS2 games then buy a Switch, otherwise don't buy one. Only exception is if you really like Nintendo games.
>What games are you looking forward to for the rest of the year?
this one also LM3 looked surprisingly good
July:
three houses
DQ builders 2
August:
Astral chain
september:
daemonxmachina
link's awakening
dragonquest 11
unspecified:
luigi's mansion 3
>LM3
>Q4 2019
I don't want to have to wait any longer... I miss this fucking series.
It's going to sell better during chistmas surely, but damn is it hard to wait for it.
On top of this, the AC delay fucking crushed me. The drought is sickening.
sucks not being a weeb
there are like 4 games on the Switch that I care about at this point
>weebshit
Gay as fuck famalam.
I have a semi-powerful PC I built at the start of this gen that still plays pretty much everything on high/ultra settings and emulates shit fine.
The console offerings are just so lackluster this gen. Add in the fact 98% of vidya is getting ported to PC these days which makes owning a nu-gen console even more obsolete.
>Q4 2019
did they even say that?
afaik it was only "2019", but I would not be surprised at all if it got delayed to spring 2020, weird to not have a date given during E3
>screen protector is busted, had to bin it
>won't be able to get a new one for a few days
>tfw too paranoid to play my Switch without it
>tfw wagie
I wish I could go home and play with my switch
Voucher Code has a Currys code to get Mario Maker 2 for £29.99 or £39.99, depending if you get the Standard or Special Edition.
I'm sure everyone here has it now but just a heads up in case.
>he bought a switch and he's not a weeb
>dead franchise that gets milked and weebified more and more
>lol
>shitty textured weeb trash
>who
>yikes
>weebtrash rerelease #10
>weegee
Are you serious
Can I hack it without fear of being banned yet?
twitter.com
Here ya go. Really, REALLY hope it isn't delayed like AC was.
Seriously- I'm just so sick and tired of waiting for new games. Splat2 and Ult have grown stale for me. Mario maker might have to be the thing that holds me off until then.
Then stick to PC. Clearly the Switch isn't catering to you, and it's most likely you're going to complain about the power of Switch and its graphics capability anyway if you're buying one.
If you're already having a blast with your PC then I don't see why you need a Switch.
SWITCH GAME?
NO GAME HAHAHA
yea astral chain looks like a lot of fun.
loved the gameplay they showed off at e3
Rune Factory, but I wouldn't be surprised if the western release gets pushed to next year. I still want to play Pokemon despite everything, but I don't want to give them money either, so I'm weighing my options.
Got a Switch on sale like a week ago with Zelda and MK8 since it's getting some games I'm interested in before the end of the year. Of the games already released I want to buy
>SM Odyssey
>Xenoblade 2
>Octopath Traveller
>TWEWY
>Voez
>Deemo
>Cytus alpha
Recommend me good games I'm missing. No multiplatform since I have a PS4.
>despite everything
So you know it's a bad game, but you still want to play it? Don't torture yourself, user. Please don't buy it. They don't deserve money for such a garbage game.
Oh, I'm definitely not buying it, at least not new. I'll either hack my Switch before it releases and pirate it or get it used. I think if there ever was a moment where the "vote with your wallet" thing applied, it's now.
I haven't bought any games in forever. Tempted to make a big afterpay buy.
>wouldn't be surprised if the western release gets pushed to next year
They're probably releasing it on every region at the same date. They can't be that fucking incompetent, EU has been dying to play their Rune Factory since release.
Am I the only one excited for Hatsune Miku?
Hot dang are we starving for Switch rhythm games. I might even get Cytus while I wait
How did you even bust your screen protector? Did you bought one of them plexi glass shit or something?
Definitely getting LA remake and LM3 and the RE5 AND RE6 ports pretty tempted on Astral Chain and DxM. Also, maybe Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest, but I'm not super interested. Can't believe we're getting a new Zelda AND NMHIII in 2020 too. Pretty pleased with the lineup senpai. I want to see how Alien Isolation runs, but I've already played it so I doubt I'll pick it up again.
Hardmoding aka RCM jigging is completely safe and will always be. After rooting you might wanna be cautious though. Nintendo logs every app start, even offline.
I am looking forward to the summer line-up right now.
Astral chain and daemon X machina look like they'll be pretty fuckin good.
I'm considering picking up three houses as well.
Pokemon was on my list but the national dex debacle really killed my hype. I might consider if game freak capitulate and promise to patch in full national dex support.
For now though I need to try and finish persona 5 so that I'll have cleared my backlog sufficiently for the switches release schedule. I'm at Sae's palace, what % complete would that put me at?
You can have the whole console catalog for ((free))!
I already own a hacked Wii U so I don't really see the point.
Musynx is a solid DJMax clone.
You need Dong Freeze and Smash
>Nintendo logs every app start, even offline.
So how am I supposed to play any pirated game without getting banned?
Mine stopped working. I hadn't played in a few months and when I picked it up one day and tried to turn it on, it didn't. Nintendo's site says they'll fix it for $100 but Idk if its worth it.
I was really looking forward to DxM since we're so starved for a good no-bullshit mecha game, but the demo had a lot of performance and general QoL issues that the gameplay at E3 showed weren't really addressed as well as they should have been.
Playing a DJ Max clone on a Switch controller must be a fucking hell.
Don't go online retard
Superbeat Xonic
emuNAND
Never? I might as well be banned then.
3 Houses and Astral Chain.
Fire Emblem
Links Awakening
Crystal Chronicles with bros
Been playing the shit out of CTR, have brought it to work to do time trials on lunch
Depends. It's solid on Newer Procon models but it is hell on the joycons
The Switch is a souless piece of shit.
Wii U >>>>>>>>Portmachine
There's emunand now, cool. I'll look it up.
Fire Emblem
DQ11
Astral Chain
DxM
LM3
Pokemon Shield
Panzer Dragoon remake
hopefully Rune Factory 4s
This year is pretty packed.
I played Pianista on Switch and the Switch Pro is so uncomfortable to use because of the D-Pad. I might get Musynx and get a 3rd party controller, but then I just bought Taiko no Tatsujin with drum.
Look it up if you have an unpatched system with the RCM exploit accessible.
It's buggy as it's an experimental release, but atmosphere has emuNAND support now, yeah.
Followed some YouTube tutorials and it's working pretty nice besides some crashes in certain games.
Look up "emuEMMC" and follow this guide with it's respective security measures (90dns so Nintendo Servers are unreachable but you can use your WiFi connection for stuff like ftp, backing up your raw NAND, etc):
switch.homebrew.guide
I have dragon quest builders, ultimate alliance and fire emblem preordered.
My wallet is getting raped in september though, wish nintendo would make more of an effort to space releases out since I bought nothing in the first half of the year and there's like ten games I want coming in the next three months
>Pianista
user, why?
>Preordered
>none of those game have online communities
user why?
>unpatched system with the RCM exploit accessible
That just means my Switch has to be from before July 2018, right? If so, I should be fine.
>It's buggy as it's an experimental release
I might wait a bit until things are tested out then, I'm not in a hurry. Thanks for the links.
Have this beauty preordered
The FUCK is that on the right? It's beating down on my nostalgia node really hard
it's okay I guess
breath of the wild was shit. ALready bored of Tetris 99
I have smash and mm2
I have no idea what else to do with it
Steelbook case, similar to the one from Samus Returns
It looks really nice. If it came in green (the first game console I ever got) I'd die and cry in that order.
Here's your (You), user.
>he hasnt hacked his switch yet
Explain yourselves
>I'm at Sae's palace, what % complete would that put me at?
I'd say 75% done.
I love nutting in and chocking my underage gf
I spent two hours with my gf going through every game on the shop and came up with nothing even slightly worth buying. Everything is either some shit mobile phone game for $5-12 or games from 2014-2017 for $89.99. Or, wildcard, $45 ports of 2d platformers, pixel shit or older games. Maybe I'm spoiled with pc gaming and steam sales but Nintendo can fuck off with that pricing. Wish I returned the damn thing during the refund period and got a hackable one off ebay.
Graceful Explosion Machine is a great Defender clone if you're into that and it's cheap.
>SMTV
>Bayonetta 3
>Metroid Prime 4
NEVER EVER
Wait until next gen
>BOTW in mid tier
>Official ranking
lol fuck off
How comfy is the Switch on flights guys?
Pianista is mediocre, I just wanted a DJ Max clone on Switch.
Don't expect to play in table top mode like you see in the Commercial, but as a handheld, extremely comfy.
Any games you regret getting physically?
Why dose NOA always shit on us...
Spyro.
Just Link's Awakening and Luigi's Mansion, so far
Your mom
>Did you bought one of them plexi glass shit or something?
Tempered glass, and yes.
Seriously, what the fuck you people do with your consoles? I have Switch since day 1, no screen protector ever, not a single scratch in it.
>inb4 liar
Am not. Seriously, wtf are you doing?
It's like having sex without a condom: yeah, you can do that, but do you REALLY want to take that risk?
>LM3
>MUA3
>Astral Chain
>DXM
>Digimon Survive
>Three Houses
>DQXI S
I just wish it had my eldritch waifu on it. When will it come to Switch
thinking of maybe getting one, but I've heard they were planning on releasing new versions soon. is that correct? do you guys think it would be worth waiting for? there are definitely some titles I wanna play, but nothing that I'm desperate for.
and I've also still got a massive 3DS library to go to, so it's not like I'm without something to play. pic related.
Three Houses was on my shitlist but the leaks plus the Treehouse gameplay really sold me on it.
What the fuck, there's a HaMi game coming to switch?
Mario + Rabbids. It's a legitimately great Tactical RPG, and the Rabbids are actually sort of funny in it for once.
Fuck, I should hack a 3DS
Answer the question, user. What are you afraid of? If you put your console gently in the dock then there's no risk. I mean, if you play in public, sure, I can understand it.
Fuck video games, I'm hyped for these controllers!
More like next year.
SMTV is likely to get shown of at TGS, I can feel it.
Bayo 3 will get a gameplay trailer at the VGAs this year.
MP4 gameplay next E3 with a December release date
I want to get them but at the same time, I want to play docked
Deemo
I got hyped since Feb 2018 was my first switch. I was starved for games (only games I bought was Pokken and Puyo Puyo Tetris) and the new Deemo update back then didn't help.
If I waited a bit longer, I either could've bought a discount or bought a physical version instead
>What are you afraid of?
Getting the screen scratched, duh. I'd rather spend 15 bucks on a screen protector every so often than have to drop 300 on a new Switch. I have my Switch with me when I'm out in a public and I have a carrier case, I'm just paranoid about the screen and I'd just feel more comfortable with a protector.
Yes, you should.
It's incredibly simple to do and it seems it's been figured out to the point where there's really no risk of ending up with a bricked 3DS. physical copies of some games are also getting to be ridiculously expensive now that 3DS support has essentially ended and it's only going to get worse as time goes on.
dare I say, it's arguably ethical to hack your 3DS and enjoy the fruits of it.

ok
>Disgaea 4 is getting an enhanced port for this thing
I'm so fucking happy. I love 1 and 5 but 4 is fucking amazing.
Yes. I'm not sure whether it's 30fps but what's definite is that it has 100 songs. I'm not sure if I'm going to sit this one out and wait for some Deluxe edition with all DLC included in the near future or get it right now then pay for the cheap DLCs.
Bless you, fellow disgaea fan, we are few and too far between
I hope you enjoy your day
Play phantom brave if you havnt :sparkles:
What makes 4 so good?
If pc gaming is good why is every single pc goty a fucking indie game? Congratz on playing LOL and csgo on ultra, i guess lmao
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Fire Emblem three houses
Astral chain
Dragon Quest 11S
Daemon X machina
Hey faggot. You forgot MUA3 on July
>Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
I don't understand why people are excited about this game. Aren't Marvel games just soulless cash grabs these days?
The problem is resources. America is a much bigger market than Brit bong land, which is still sonyfag HQ. Meaning they have to produce a lot more and eat more in shipping costs if they did that for America.
It's a shit deal, but it's also why Club Nintendo shut down.
I'm thinking of swapping my Switch's shell this weekend, never done modding like this before
How fucked/retarded am I
Because MUA were actual fun party games.
No More Heroes 3
I'm not going to buy it myself, but This one looks like a solid arcade hack and slash and it's made by the same Dev team as the Musou games, so it looks like a solid quality game
The gameplay is the second most complex/varied in terms of options the player has to build their units (which is the series main appeal) as well as just general gameplay mechanics. Disgaea 5 is a little more complex, obviously since it's a sequel, however 4 has way more content overall compared to 5.
I'm also personally just very fond of 4s story and cast, especially pic related. I'm happy to have an excuse to see them again and for others to experience them.
I got it on PC, really need to give it the time. I unfortunately only really had a chance to get into NIS in the middle of the PS3 era so while I did play Disgaea 1 as a kid, it wasn't until Disgaea 3/4/Hundred Knight 1 that they really grabbed me.
And I can also do DS games on it?
I'll look into it
There's some other rhythm game on Switch but that sounds really good
After beating both Odyssey and Botw there doesn't seem to be anything else worth playing except the occasional Tetris 99 match.
How does the story/cast compare to 5? It's the only one I've played and while I found some moments between the cast pretty entertaining I think overall it was weak.
MUA1 was really fun and strangely hardcore on Marvel lore and shit. It was a fun albeit janky beat em up.
MUA2 was less hardcore on the lore but had a much smoother combat system with good combo attacks and solidly differentiated abilities.
MUA3 is actually made by Team Ninja so not only does it look better than the other games but the combat has a better chance of being actually really solid. There also seems to be a more robust character-building system.
You don't like Smash or Mario Maker?
I only got XC2 for now and planning on getting FE this month. Might grab some indieshit once my SD card arrives.
We might as well get this one. Aside from Cytus and Superbeat Xonic, this one looks like high quality
No, Deemo isn't exactly high quality. It felt like a lazy port from Flyhigh. I wish they had PM Studio's treatment like what they did in Musynx or Pianista, even though the whole game felt too basic to me.
>468909606
>it's arguably ethical
Fucking pirates justifying stealing games.
I have the pirates curse. Hacked wide open, have every game on there... Nothing I wanna play. Still haven't played Mario Odyssesy
Been thinking about getting Dragon's Dogma. Any of you played it on the Switch? Does it run well?
Yes. You can use a flashcart, which is the 'tried and true' method, but there's also TWiLight Menu, which is what I've been using: gbatemp.net
It's not perfect, but it's a good alternative if you don't want to buy a flaschart from some shady company, and it seems it's actively being worked on. not sure how up to date this is, but there's a compatibility list: docs.google.com
I haven't had any issues, but I haven't used it a bunch either, so take that with a grain of salt. A lot of people still opt to use flashcarts simply because they're more reliable, or they just already have one.
I think it really depends on what you found weak. Hard to say since I find Disgaea story enjoyment can vary so much person to person.
A lot of people like 4s cast because they mesh well together. Valvatorez makes an interesting protagonist because he's already a pretty respectable dude with his own set of morals that he sticks to from the start. His relationship with Fenrich is top tier bros, his relationship with Artina gets interesting in the post-game story when they expand on it and Fuka and Descos own little arc plays into it well and they're cute as the kids of the group. Emizel is just kind of there but his character kind of plays into that. Probably the weakest link though.
That said I've also seen people say they think 4s cast is too "meme-y", especially Val, Desco and Fuka who all repeat the same jokes (sardines/final boss/dreams respectively) a lot.
I have never played Smash and it looks like it's for zoomers who still have reflexes and hand to eye coordination. Mario Maker lacks any sort of long term goal or objective that the real Mario games have.
oh look, it's the Nintendo white knight who doesn't know how to properly quote anyone.
The problems I had with 5 were mainly Killia's weirdly edgy backstory and overall character that didn't really mesh well with the ridiculousness of the rest of the game imo. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was just lighthearted all the way through. I also found Seraphina, Red Magnus and Zeroken to be annoying sometimes.
Luigis mansion 3 looks comfy as fuck. Id love to just sit back on a rainy day and enjoy some games, hopefully its good
Anybody can play smash, it's one of its appeal, fun for all family.
mario maker 2 have a story mode and if you want long term goal you'll be served double plate, some user made levels are very well made.
Hori also sells spacers for them, why do you think they have a battery pack?
Well I mean can I pirate DS games and download them onto my 3DS?
Cool! I guess I'll jump on that then
Here's some
Yeah, I liked the Killia bait and switch but I felt he didn't have much charisma with the rest of the cast because of him being so extremely stoic. 4s cast definitely addresses that, then. Valvatorez is boisterous and a go-getter.
By the sound of it, I think you would like 4s cast more, but don't take that as a guarantee.
I wish Nintendo would make Mii Plaza and Street Pass as part of Nintendo Online. Those would be some legitimately good reasons to pick up a subscription.
I really liked all the bullshit mii stuff on 3DS, it was cute and you racked up a ton of resources just walking around a big city
I got to use Valvatorez in 5 too and he seemed pretty cool, definitely better than Killia. Thanks for the help, user. I'll probably get 4 if it goes on sale.
A question to homebrew bros: emuNAND has its own settings, yes? For example, emuNAND Switch has no internet 100% of the time but sysNAND does
How’s Warframe?
shit
>Well I mean can I pirate DS games and download them onto my 3DS?
Yes, TWiLight Menu allows you to do that. You just put your ROMs in the correct folder in the ROMs folder on your SD card. Take a look at the link I posted and it will explain pretty much all you need to know about TWiLight Menu.
I've only got a handful of DS games on my 3DS, but they've all worked without issue using TWiLight Menu.
It works but I haven't played that much of it
Good community.
Still waiting for emummc for retards.
>stumble into a major test of strength early on BOTW
>it's a Mark IV Guardian
>spam bombs, crit arrows, and elixers
>kill it and gain top-tier weapons
>find another one at the sea
>repeat both after each bloodmoon for EZ OP weapons
Still fucking hate weapon degradation. Put a repair option for fucks sakes
Mario Maker 2
Cool, thanks a ton.
Three houses, thought it would be shit at first and while I'm still not trying to get hyped for it to be safe the latest bunch of info has given me hope for it.
>Astral Chain
>Daemon X Machina
>Zelda
>DQ XIs
>Alliance Alive HD
why the fuck are they coming out so close to eachother. Like I went an entire half year buying basically nothing besides Travis Strikes Again and Tales of Vesperia and now this happens.
Why are there so many threads asking people if they love their Switch/what are they playing on their Switch? Is it some kind of weird fucked up stockholm syndrome?
I've bought one game since 2017 for my Switch and that was Smash. I'm planning on getting Mario Maker 2 though. This console fucking sucks it has no games.
Two years and you haven't hacked it? What are you doing?
What's the point when I can do everything a hacked Switch can on my PC with nowhere near as much effort? I don't give a damn about portability either, I have 0 intentions of using my Switch outside the house.
I'm a 33 year old boomer and I still play fighting games and Smash. Mario Maker is cool if you've played enough Mario games and have always had your own ideas about what would be a cool level in X Mario game.
Why did you buy it then?
bump
BotW hype and the eventual Smash game
I love portability in part because it lets me take it anywhere I want around the house
I want to look forward to the new animal crossing but its art direction and crafting bullshit makes me want to blow my brains out.
Meh I don't see the point. The only place I play vidya is my room.
Best eStore games?
>468912656
Sorry thief, you gotta earn this (you).
Whoa you really drew that shit user? Looking good!
Any other cool switch accesories?
I'm gonna pick a switch mini up this winter. There are only 3 games that I want to play on it but I know I'm going to play the fuck out of all 3 of them.
>Daemon X Machina has gyro control support
>Daemon X Machina joy-cons doesn't
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Switch is only really worth getting if you didn't have a Wii U still. Maybe DXM and Astral Chain will change that but they haven't been released.
looks cool
>2DS announced in August and released in November for Pokémon
Will we see history repeat itself with mini?
Switch pro seems like a retarded idea.
DOCK PRO a great one.
