Did anyone even play Wind Waker?

i listened to an lp of it on x2 speed while looking at something else

I read the Prima guide.

There are people who haven't played Wind Waker? It was the GameCube's Zelda, and the remake was one of the only Wii U games for the first couple years of its existence. Plus its DS sequels sold well and that probably inspired some interest from people. Everyone on the planet owned a Wii and it can be played on there too.

Yes, beyond the charm of the artstyle and character expression the sailing is fucking boring and most islands have one point of interest with no reason to return which makes what little overworld there was extremely forgettable with only Outset, the Market Island and Dragon Roost coming to mind.
The combat is also pretty terrible with most enemies just being a matter of pressing A when the game tells you to which will either kill them or break their defences

Watched friend play it for few minutes back in 2003 or so.

Yeah, it's a big reason in motivating me to go out to sea every summer to spend some quality time in a boat to relax and maybe catch some fish.

obviously. Its the only actual decent zelda game. OoT is nostalgia trash and dont even let me get started on botw.

Yeah I did. it's good fuck ya'll.

>>Its the only actual decent zelda game.
>has like 4 actual dungeons
>Great Sea is the BOTW "full of nothing" meme except unironically
>spend literal hours of your time staring at sailing with basically 0 interaction for most of it
I like Wind Waker, but come on.

its funke

Played the HD version, liked it but wasn't crazy about it like many people. This basically sums up my views on the game

its the best zelda. Fuck you.

I want to hold his tiny hands

I got to dragon roost island then got bored. Real shame, toon link is my favorite rendition of link.

Yes. I enjoyed going to all the islands and collecting everything. There's surprisingly a lot to do outside of the main quest.

>4 actual dungeons

>Dragon Roost
>Forbidden Forest
>Tower of Gods
>Forsaken Fortess
>Earth Temple
>Wind Temple
>Ganon's Tower

Umm... try again sweetie...

user is retarded and probabaly doesn't count Tower of the Gods because it doesn't instantly teleport you out.

Based. Played it back then on my GC and loved it.

lmao why the fuck would anyone play wind waker
just watch a let's play and skip the shitty parts (90% of the game)

Retards hated the game at 1st glance since they instantly believed that the next Zelda game after Majora Mask would look like pic related.

No I only played Tetra Trackers

Attached: 1096835-tetra3.jpg (480x480, 41K)

I finished it thrice
any follow up questions?

>still no switch port of WWHD

The fact that the game's biggest flaw is the very first dungeon and is something you experience within the first 2 hours of gameplay which is never ever at all discussed here on Yea Forums shows that nobody actually played it.

test

What do you hate about the first dungeon? The searchlight mechanic?

You're going to need to be more specific
The games biggest flaw is spending significant periods of time sailing between islands which isn't particularly exciting after the first few times

Its particularly punishing and occurs early on in the game, you don't know what to expect out of it and it can easily turn away a new player because losing progress is like the worst thing in game design and its the mechanic they decided would be good for the tutorial dungeon.

Sounds like assassins creed rogue and black flag

>Punishing

Technically since it's nearly impossible to die to anything but the lasers and you can at least fight the bokoblins using sticks it's the opposite. But still why even have forced stealth mechanics that are never used again?

Sailing the high seas is part of the charm.

Yes but it needs to be sped up like with the swift sail or the randomiser, otherwise it gets boring.

Played it a bit before my Wii died. It was pretty fun.
Will probably emulate it after I finish BOTW.

this room fucks with me so hard because the rats break my barrel and i nope back to the title screen if it happens

I did. Beat it too, and then did a pajama run

wwhd is soulless

I never used it, even going through the HD version as lobster Link the second time. Sailing was more satisfying than running across Hyrule Field to visit different areas in Oot.

I only played it recently and I still haven’t finished it

How?

Muh lighting is basically the only argument they have. The same argument for OOT3D although both are the superior versions

I'm assuming they'll say it's because of the bloom but honestly the HD version makes the artstyle look even better

Attached: wind-waker-tuned-up.jpg (818x460, 86K)

The lighting just makes it even more obvious that you're sailing on an opaque carpet.

Get out, Zoomer.

I guess that's true. But I'm not going to argue that, since sailing is honestly my least favorite world traversal method in the games that I've played of the series so far

It's the zelda game I've replayed the most. I really like the art style and the islands are comfy. My least favourite things about it are the rope swinging for bombs and wind temple.

Yes, it's still the best zelda game.

I never had an issue with the lighting/bloom and its nowhere as bright as in some of those screenshots posted on Yea Forums.
I played it on a PC monitor though so maybe that made a difference. Just paly with non-retarded brightness settings I guess.

I’m not a zoomer, I’m just not a nostalgic retard like you. WW on gamecube is borderline unplayable with all its tedium and OOT 3D fixes most of the issues with the original, the new enhancements and nice visuals make it worth the lighting changes

The best games always have a casual filter.

I never had an issue either. My only issue with the game was the aiming being really awkward for items on the face buttons

HEY EVERYBODY CHUGGACONROY HERE
Need I say more?

I used to watch that dude 10 years ago. He's still active?

Yup Doing the DS version of Chrono Trigger

Really good aesthetic. Mediocre to shit everything else.

Holy fuck captcha has been autistic today.

Just buy the Yea Forums pass, bro.
