Great game, lots of replayability. I wish pokemon still felt like this.

I played it and beat it while my mom was shopping. I enjoyed it.

This is just an excuse people use to defend games that are too short. "Y-you're supposed to r-replay it! I-It's supposed to be arcade-like!" Yeah, no. It was short because they didn't give a fuck and wanted to slap something with Pokemon in its name onto the N64 at the height of Pokemania. The fact that they didn't make a sequel despite its success proves that it was only created to make a quick buck.

Great but too short and doesn't try to steal your money. No wonder Masuda has a vendetta against it.

Also keep in mind that it was originally released at full fucking price, nowadays a game this short would be an instant no-buy from most critics just for being more than $10 for the amount of content you are paying for.

As stupid as this sounds it's popularity was also tied heavily to a gimmick that can;t exist nowadays. You were meant to print out your best shots using those printer machines they had at blockbuster to show your firends.

pretty good kid game. i still remember when i was 10, stopping at the moltres egg and throwing apples at the charmanders on the volcano level, laughing my ass off. it would be less fun if i didnt have the patience to fuck around with it

I don't feel super strongly about Pokemon Snap in particular, but I think photography is a fun and underused concept for games.

I always liked the photography side-quests in Zelda.

Those things were a complete ripoff too, I remember getting a few of my pictures printed off with that and it was like 20 bucks for a dozen tiny as fuck stickers.

I replay it once a year, only takes two hours to recomplete. In hindsight, it is way too short and has too little interaction.
I want a sequel so fucking much, come the fuck on Nintendo, you have gyro controls and all the models RIGHT THERE
