Fact: OOT is genuinely one of the most underrated games ever. Contrarians have been shitting on it for so long out of jealousy, that people have completely forgotten what made it such a good game in the first place & refuse to acknowledge any well designed aspect of the game. On the contrary Majora's Mask is probably the most overrated game ever, people veimetly defend it to such a degree simply because it's dark & edgy. And due to their desire to be contrarian towards OOT, they completely ignore all of the glaring flaws in that game & pass it off as "Pleb filter" simply because Majora's Mask isn't as critically acclaimed as other Zelda's which allows them to Gate keep about it. This is why people who praise MM can only ever use vague & empty buzzwords or phrases that don't actually explain to a person who hasn't played it, what makes it a good game. Which shows they haven't played it, same with whenever you praise OOT. People will just attack you for having "Nostalgia" while ignoring or failing to even acknowledge any of the things you said about it, and failing to realize that turning around and saying MM is better than OOT is just a contradictory statement because MM is just a glorified expansion pack with less content & darker atmosphere. Any flaws you thought OOT & WW had are 10x worse in Majora's Mask.

Nobody cares, Zelda is for man-children. Sage

Most forgettable Zelda game passing through

Remember when everyone hated 8.8? Zelda cycle is real.

>refuse to acknowledge any well designed aspect of the game
Like what. The only well designed thing is the Water Temple.
>but it was the first 3D game!!!!
Better 3D games came out at the same time

The only thing holding TP back is difficulty. It's really fucking easy and anyone who complains about the slow start is a fucking brainlet who can't appreciate the feeling of being on a larger-than-life adventure and has no concept of thematic buildup and story-telling.

Unironically based as fuck

You proved my point

The Dark Souls of Zelda games.

All video games are for manchildren. Good job saying absolutely nothing.

Name something good from OOT

>Let’s start the narrative three days before the actual story begins, so we can watch Link herd cows and catch fish for stray cats!

There’s nothing wrong with thematic build-up, but TP doesn’t have any.

The slow start has nothing to do with the story. It completely babies the player and includes the most forced tutorials in the entire series. I still love the game, though

It’s super lovable fanbase that isn’t pretentious and stuck in the past.

MM is unironically inferior to OoT. It's just as linear, but it's a lot shorter, and using masks instead of items makes the puzzles way too easy to solve. Plus the three days thing really puts pressure on you to get shit done instead of sitting back and playing the game at your own pace.
TP is the second best 3D Zelda game. It's solid, but not great. SS surpasses it because it has better combat and dungeon design

>SS surpasses it because it has better combat and dungeon design
You got me dude. Almost thought your post was serious until this.

I laughed

Here’s how you fix TP
> 1. Release it after Majora’s Mask
> 2. Advertise it as a direct continuation of OOT/MM
> 3. Start the game with Link leaving Termina & ending up in the Twilight Realm
> 4. Keep WW’s Cell shaded graphics, but use a more realistic art style like BOTW
> 5. Have the entire game take place in the Twilight realm, keep Zant as the main villain
This fixes all of the flaws that TP had because none of the complaints about its horrible pacing or lacklustre story would exist because it wouldn’t be a origin story due to it being a direct sequel, allowing it to be its own game. This would also fix Wind Waker because Nintendo would have more time to develop it & instead of making SS, we could get a WW sequel on the Wii

All of this contrarian seething proves that i was right

>Keep WW’s Cell shaded graphics, but use a more realistic art style like BOTW
no!

SS isn't great at either of those, but its dungeons are a bit more difficult than TP's. The combat is better because it's not just "wait for an opening and press B"

Based

Threadly reminder:

>linear as fuck and tons of hand-holding
>cringeworthy cutscenes
>little to no innovation, doesn't even improve the formula from the N64 games
>Link isn't even as mobile as in previous games (Wind Waker Link could crouch and hide)
>filler tear segments
>shitty tryhard atmosphere
>too much expository dialogue
>artstyle that aged like milk
>swimming feels awful
>non-existent difficulty even by 3D Zelda standards
>final boss was predictable and boring
>dungeon design is basically on rails
>worst looking bokoblins in the series
>reusing the same areas and bosses
>most enemies are beaten in pretty much the same way: look for an opening, rapidly hit the B button until it recovers from the assault and guards again, rinse, repeat
>crappy story, failed to explain anything in a compelling manner
>NPCs are soulless and not engaging, you can't even interact with most people in Castle Town
>worst battle music in the series, which also ruined the midna's lament segment
>barely any sidequests
>basically no interconnected areas except for Lake Hylia
>Death Mountain Area is a fucking line with no branches or secret areas
>item usage was limited
>potions, fairies, upgrades, and the like are useless and offer no variety
>babby tier puzzles (open the door by shooting an obviously placed eye switch, woooow)
>dull soundtrack
>both the overworld and villages are shallow and not dynamic
>no free-roaming, gotta wait for the plot to explore other areas

If it weren't for Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess would have been the weakest 3D Zelda of all-time.

Yes, Cell shaded graphics literally saved the Zelda franchise from dying

>first 1/3rd of your game is tutorial tier
>best Zelda
euuugh

>artstyle that aged like milk
>barely any sidequests
These are blatantly wrong.

and yet somehow, it makes up for it with style, a halfway decent story, and the best characters ever put in a zelda game

cope, faggot

The fact that you are seething so bad & can’t even be specific about why you think he’s wrong on all of those proves that he’s right & nostalgia is the only reason why you think TP is good

Seething at what

Even Wind Waker has twice the sidequests Toilet Piss has.

The first third of the game (ends once you're get past the final forced wolf secton) is a tutorial and that's perfectly adequate amount of detail for my complaint to anyone who has played the game.

I actually like TP, I just don't think it's nearly the best Zelda game. I rate ALttP, OoT, MM, WW and BotW over it.

Being outed as the jealous contrarian faggot you are

The pacing of TP is all over the place
It feels the game doesn't let you have fun or really explore anything until after the Water Temple
And it shouldn't take that long to get to the third dungeon

How so? MM isn't my favorite Zelda so not an argument.

>muh style and story

Don't you have a cinematic Sony "experience" to be playing right now, you fucking kalemale?

TP used to be my favorite Zelda, and I still think it's good, but I do agree with a lot of these points. The wolf-only segments are a bit lame. The dungeons are a straight-up downgrade from OoT in every single way. The bosses are fucking piss easy - like really piss easy to the point where you wonder if the developers playtested them. When I played it again a few months ago, I found it to be a bit of a slog. Many parts I was thinking "ugh, lemme just get through this shit so I can get to the better part." which is just bad for a game.

Patrician Zeldas:

BOTW, ALTTP, OOT, LA, MM, LOZ

Pleb Zeldas:

TP, TWW, SS, PH, ST

I’d put WW into patrician, LTTP in its own Mid-tier spot, and keep everything else as it is.

There is nothing good about TP's introduction being so long. The tutorials there are super forced and their ingame justification is so stupid at times it breaks the immersion. Also you learn about the wolf segments and how awful they are. The game doesnt show its decent content until like 3 hours of gameplay.

Piss off graphics fag

The pacing is the best in any Zelda game. Literally no slow/boring parts save for water temple which is only bad because of the iron boots thing.
3D navigation and puzzles were translated from 2D zelda games so brilliantly it has been copied by itself and others for years.
The tone is as serious and lighthearted as it needs. It has such a nice balance.
Story is good because despite being simple, the cast is super memorable, cutscenes are well directed and talks about themes like childhood friendship and coming of age in such a genuine way.
The time travel gimmick is one of those things that achieves many things with just one concept in story, exploration and gameplay.

Its the most well balanced 3D zelda by far.

>The pacing is the best in any Zelda game
Already wrong. Links Awakening has better pacing. OOT takes too long to get started.

3D zelda game*

Happy?

ALttP and ALbW a best

It's also the blandest and the most boring Zelda game.

Okay I can agree with that.
