Any fun you could have had as SCH died when they forced oGCD on fairy abilities.

What's your impressions of your jobs so far?

BLM still feels like BLM with a slight change to how I finish my Astral Fire phase, WAR feels like it lost some of it's more unique parts of its tanking kit in exchange for more DPS abilities that ultimately don't make me feel like I'm hitting any harder, though Inner Chaos absolutely exploding shit is somewhat cool. I haven't leveled DRK, GNB, or PLD to 80 yet though, it just feels like WAR isn't the tank king of burst like they were.

Also, all that self healing that Inner Beast and our AoE used to give being gone really hurts more than I thought it would. I did Deltascape on a whim the other day and noticed I wasn't able to entirely self-heal with my abilities outside of tank busters, a small change, but it's probably going to result in healers going through a lot more MP than they were to make up for it. If my old self-healing for the course of a fight was 200k, for example, I'm not even healing a quarter of that anymore.

Dunno about the exact numbers, but it looks like they stripped SCH of many things, and in 5.0 they have nerfed it all around.

Also dunno at high lvl, but I just made a new character, last time I played was a year ago, lvling an arcanist like I did before, and it looks like it has been nerfed so hard that the low lvl content is making me feel like I have half the power I had before.

Emet Selch is the title he held as part of their high council. His true name is Hades. All ascians on the council, such as elidibus and lahabrea, are referred to by their titles, you never hear their real names

The ascians summoned Hydaelyn to stop Zodiark. Hydaelyn was just created with the will to save life. She is probably like Alexander, aware her existence can harm reality. Stopping Zodiark shattered the world, and she likely wants to interfere as little as possible.

Maybe, but not necessarily. The original Ascians are tempered because they summoned Zodiark in the first place, but the characters alive now don't really have anything directly to do with Hydaelyn. From what Emet-Selch said, neither primal should be particularly concerned with people's day-to-day affairs, since that's not their purpose, so maybe they don't go around tempering their believers.

The tree doesn't move and doesn't attack, so literally both tanks take one each. It's autopilot as fuck.
