Soft remake of Daggerfall. It'll be its own game, but the plot will loosely follow that of Daggerfall.

Itll be... not worth buying

Attached: 1518383844521.jpg (1070x1196, 467K)

It’ll be worse than fallout 4. Why would anyone have any faith left in Bethesda after the casualization of fallout 4 and the predatory monetization of 76? You realize you’re getting both in ES6

God if they don't include an elf province Bethesda can fuck right off, don't fucking pussy out and do another province of man that's just some gay real world culture ripoff

They won't go back to doing a small bit of both places at massive scale like in daggerfall. The standard was set with Oblivion & Skyrim, people expect full regions now.

it'll either be both in full or just one of them.

Im hoping its a bait&Switch so we can go somewhere actually interesting with some flavor like Anequina&Pelletine or Valenwood

>actually wanting mer lands

Attached: PELINAL.png (329x430, 268K)

TES: Wakanda.

Attached: rg.jpg (1280x720, 86K)

It will be bland, uninspired shit, like every Elder Scrolls game since Morrowind.
Hopefully it will be the last Elder Scrolls game.

Hammerfell sounds better than THE ELDER SCROLLS VI: HIGH ROCK

Mer lands = more mer to kill.

>land full of autistic cannibal elves
>land full of furry elves

You're getting honorable lands of men and you'll buy it you filthy degenerate

Attached: ml.jpg (503x738, 277K)

They trademarked the name ''redfall'' so yeah probably hammerfell

gamesradar.com/uk/dont-worry-about-that-elder-scrolls-6-redfall-trademark-dispute-an-agreement-could-be-in-the-works/

redfall = hammerfell

>Picks the most boring setting possible
Oh boy, pirates, deserts, Oasis, jungle, grassland. AND MORE EPIC DWEMER RUINS!!!

If any lorefags are here please tell me it's not shit.

I wonder why they wouldn't just have called it Hammerfell, it's a pretty badass name.

"redfall" is easier to say, but that's about the only reason I could see why they'd use it over hammerfell, unless "redfall" is hinting at the plot for the game in someway?

Attached: 1449408595475.jpg (2106x1685, 682K)

>If any lorefags are here please tell me it's not shit.
Well there is this which could be interesting, probably replace the dragonborn shouts

en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Sword-singers

Who is the native race of Hammerfell?

>"redfall" is hinting at the plot for the game in someway?
Redfall = Redguard fall? War in Hammerfell or something maybe.

if only u knew whiteboi

>most boring setting

It's objectively the most diverse of the regions on the main continent, it's got a bit of everything. Redguards have some pretty good lore to them as well. The region would also have ruins of the ancient wild elves, ancient nedes and the redguard ancestors.

Attached: 1410188706588.jpg (4440x2401, 1.24M)

Redfall = septim empire finally bites the dust.
Please no. They're going to cut even more "skills" and make even simpler PERK TREES, and everyone will ignore it because DUDE LOOK AT THESE COOL POWERUPS like Skyrim

Redfall means it’s a redguard centric game. Elder Scrolls needs more of muh diversity. What better place to set your game in than wakanda

Shut up moron, they have done Skyrim, Cyrodiil, Morrowind already. Its either Hammerfell or High Rock since there is no way they are making a game full of argonian swamps or khajiit. If its between High Rock and Hammerfell, Hammerfell is the more interesting choice.

Are they really still going to use the same fucking engine?

Dude there's no way they would make a game in skyrim. People would get bored of endless snow and nothing but stupid vikings

Hammerfell is home of the redguard, you fucking utter moron. Did the tie-in comparing blacks from wakanda really fly over your smooth brain?

>Did the tie-in comparing blacks from wakanda really fly over your smooth brain?
No?

>septim empire finally bites the dust

I've been saying consistently that the events of skyrim and the plotline with the Thalmor/dominion wasn't done, to me it was very clearly setting up the empire to be in a very, VERY weak position, on the verge of collapse

>Already bent over a barrel with the Thalmor free to roam their territory
>Forces stretched thin to the max
>Can lose Skyrim, leaving the "empire" as just cyrodiil & High Rock
>Emperor can be assassinated

This was 100% on purpose and left as unfinished business, but for whatever reason Yea Forums thinks they're just gonna skip over it. I have no doubt that TES VI will either take place after the empire has collapsed, or take place around the time the empire is collapsing (Hammerfell is independent but we would hear of the events). Also IIRC Kirk said years ago that the overarching background storyline in TES single player games was the fall of Men and rise of Elves again, and that all seems to be playing out despite him not being directly involved anymore.

Attached: Map_HF_Ingame_Th.jpg (450x330, 161K)

Me: it’s a redguard-centric game
You: No moron, it should be set in hammerfell, home of the redguard

Please explain your retardation

Much like any game these days, most framework could be dated 10+ years ago. But engines can be updated to add entirely new techniques and tech, and we've already seen one change to their engine : photogrammetry.

Plus both Starfield and TES VI are built for next gen, so at least we don't have to worry about hardware restraints.

>all the furfags and vorefags will begin to flood the community for the first year or so

Attached: D9dSr-4W4AAfzq1.jpg large.jpg (944x944, 102K)

In Morrowind an aspect of Talos appears to the Nerevarine and says the future of the empire is uncertain but maybe it's "time for something new"

Imagine being this invested in bethesdashit’s excuse for a narrative. Pathetic

You were suggesting they are going hammerfell because of ''muh diversity'' and what better place to set your game than ''wakanda''. I am saying it is the best choice out of the remaining provinces.

wont dark elfs getting spear cucked from argonians contradict that statement?

Attached: 1561992991212.jpg (1920x1080, 495K)

I agree it’s the most exotic and exciting location. I’m also saying that it plays into the industry’s tendency to want to overrepresent minorities, and setting a game in a province dominated by a minority plays into this policy, and this is more likely the reason they’re doing it considering their last and most successful game was set in the most boring location in Tamriel next to Cyrodiil

>Minority
>Tamriel
Every race is fucking distinct and represented in every title. How are Redguards minorities?

>plays into the industry’s tendency to want to overrepresent minorities, and setting a game in a province dominated by a minority plays into this policy
But any choice now will be a ''minority''. Bretons are dark skinned (not black) half-elves too and the other choices are cat or lizard people.

>Bretons are dark skinned
what the fuck are you talking about

No, because by "elves" in reality we're talking about the Altmer/Thalmor VS The Empire. Ultimately they're the control seekers, the ones who see themselves as superior to everyone, the ones who literally want to undo creation.

Dunmer, Bosmer, Argonians, Khajiit, Orsimer, they're really just onlookers in the overall power struggle for dominance.

Attached: dunmers-REEEEEEEEEEEEE.jpg (1200x1200, 417K)

whoops lol ignore that, I got confused

Both.

Attached: asdhjkndkj.png (1857x664, 1.4M)

>Valenwood
Isn't Valenwood made up of cities based on giant walking trees that move all around the place? Seems a little annoying to program something like that

Also bretons aren't half elves, they're like 0.01% Mer blood by the time of the games. Their sex slave ancestry was a looooooong time ago in the lore, in a time when the Aldmer and Nedes were still around. Since then it has been almost completely bred out of them by the time of the games.

Attached: anonNPC.jpg (440x618, 355K)

Both in half

IIRC The trees have stopped walking in the lore

hammerfell is 100x more interesting than gay shit swamp or faggot elf forest and the KANGZ are 100x more interesting than titty lizard furfag scalefag bait. i wont explain why though, you'll just have to buy todd's game

Dragon breaks my Yokudan
The plot goes by the Thalmor IS rebuilding Numidium to tear down the Adamantine tower, and the Tower's infamous Door is unlocking itself slowly, ever since Alduin came back.
The civil war ended with a truce, Skyrim is independent and rebel at the same time, but both parties serves the new emperor, Balgruff becomes high king, Elisif retires as Jarl and goes to High Hrothgar to learn more about the voice, LDB and Lydia went to Sovngarde via Skuldafn once more at the request of Ysgramor.
Delphine is dead and The Blades are still secretive, but friendlier with the Greybeards, the new leader is a Tsaesci
Tsaesci are Men who became serpentine vampires and reveres Sakatal, the snakelike features gives them an asian look, they assimilated all of the cultures in Akavir, Parth is a nice guy after all and met them years prior to the end of the potentate, they swore allegiance to Kyne and Akatosh, and Sees Lorkhan as their father, Talos the Son, and the Dragonborns as the Holy Spirit.
Akavir isnt Future Tamriel or the next Kalpa, but something else who's people vowed to protect it if tamriel goes into world ending shenanigans, The Nerevarine is there learning more about it
High rock is on the verge of going full Cromwell revolution, wayrest is now a pirate state, daggerfall was sacked, and pirates run all over the peninsula
Hammerfell is divided in between crowns and forebears, both parties are still divided with the idea of joining the empire once more, since they discovered the thalmor plot and they started to raid hammerfell once more.
people are still divided about making Swordsinging the main gimmick of the game
the Underking still lives, He's pissed that everything that they did back in Daggerfall served for nothing, and the Thalmor got their hands on the Heart and the Tools

Attached: 4866670+_d06de304b16c58e57019103e6c6c0bce.png (440x620, 230K)

Honestly it should be both, with every city-state of High Rock fully fleshed out, but if I had to pick one just High Rock I guess.
Sad that the game won't have any actual RPG elements.

*ahem*
FUCK ORSIMER

Triple zeros kills the shit poster

Ideally both because that would allow for more variety in terms of culture and locations, but on the other hand, it's fucking Bethesda we're talking about, and them biting off more than they can chew would probably just end in it being extremely watered down.

But it's going to be watered-down shit regardless. I lost all hope for TES6 long ago. In my eyes the real TES6 is Beyond Skyrim.

Attached: suicide shrug.jpg (1300x866, 114K)

yes but

with both regions in full

>Beyond Skyrim
Redpill me on Beyond Skyrim. Have they done anything apart from Bruma yet?

you say this while still playing blizzard's shit user

If it takes place in niggerfell, i'm not buying the game. I'm not interested in a wakanda simulator. The game needs to take place in high rock for me.

Noted.

Holy shit let’s not kid ourselves. Redguard are blacks. Nords are Scandinavian. Imperials and Bretons are Eastern Europeans.

What are argonians

I'm not following every little thing with bated breath, but apparently the high rock/hammerfell team is releasing a "teaser" called Three Kingdoms which is similar to Bruma in that it's one section of the overall area to whet our appetites. That should be releasing "Soon(TM)"

Hammerfell so they can be woke, expect full WE WUZ KANGZ

What does that even mean. I haven't bought a blizzshit game diablo 2

if you /pol/ types actually looked into the redguards lore you'd realise they're the closest thing to your board in TES.

I'm going to be really annoyed if they just redo the entire "pro-imperial cosmopolitans vs pro-independence nativists", but while stormcloaks were just written off as "muh stupid racists" they'll totally go in the exact opposite light for the nativist redguard faction.

Mexicans

>People complaining about it possibly taking place in Redshit land
>People not realizing you can probably be some superior Nord who cucks them at their own demigod-like beings, similar to how you can be a Imperial Nerevarine and cuck the Dunmer, or be a Altmer Dragonborn leader of the Companions and cuck the Nords.

If Bugthesda makes it so only the Redshits have any prominence or cultural pride, then it's time to let the franchise fucking burn.

If it is in Hammerfell i hope it has a plot based around the Dwemer

This, also High Elves are Jews.

I always hate playing an altm*r in skyrim because no matter what you pick, you'r e always forced to implicitly stand against the thalmor. Why can't I join the thalmor or aid them in any way?

Their Youtube page and twitter updates regularly.
We will get the Morrowind demo later this year, Cyrodiil seems to be almost done

Central Americans and Khmer
Khajiit are Indians and Thailandese

Altmer are all of 1000-1800's Britain with Tudors and shit Summerset Isles are LITERALLY inverse Great Britain map.
Bretons are Franks and Holy Roman Empire
Imperials are and will always be Romans and Byzantines

You know that redguards are LITERALLY /pol/ the race in lore terms right?

redguards are based and redpilled and the only true (honorary) whites in the elder scrolls universe. bretons are 56%ers, nords are n-word people, imperials are cucks. only the redguards keep the spirit of man alive. did you know tiber septim was a redguard? it's true, look it up

And wood elves are Asians and orcs are Americans. Any questions?

ittl be full of micro transactions wherever its set.

> Imperials and Bretons are Eastern Europeans.
lmao you absolute TES lorelet.

Imperials are literally based on the ROMAN empire, wear roman armour, have roman buildings, have roman names... but you think they're eastern Europeans?

and you think bretons are eastern euro as well...Bretons... it's in the fucking name. BRETONS. Bretons & High Rock are based on a mix of Celtic and early western medieval societies around northern france & Briton.

Attached: Breton1.png (220x355, 66K)

Imperials are britbongs and bretons are frenchies
Also redguards are actually more like moors/arabs, at least in terms of culture and lore, but nu-bethesda will probably go #woke and do some low-IQ post-colonial ideology shit with them instead.

Are the akaviri just weebs then if asians are already taken?

Attached: 1514927469988.png (451x356, 107K)

>Nords are n-word people
Seriously get off Yea Forums and move to Reddit you fucking politically correct nigger.

high rock + hammerfell
plot involves thalmor trying to destroy the adamantium tower
dunno what the daedric/otherworldly threat will be, but the thalmor plot is actually decent and has potential so bethesda obviously needs to find a way to fuck it up before they just move on

Obviously the aesthetics of the legion and their naming conventions are roman, but in actuality, I find their culture to be much more English. Sort of like how historical dramas set in ancient rome always have them speaking as posh anglos.

SMOOTH SKINS WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND

Attached: argonian.jpg (900x1106, 244K)

woah, calm down there buddy. We aren't all racists here on 4channel.

Well yeah the imperial military takes superficial aesthetic inspiration from the Roman empire, but really the empire itself is more like the British empire.

After fallout 4 and 76, how do ANY of you have faith in the impending pile of shit?

sorry but i have no interest in intentionally losing hiro ad money. he runs this site and deserves our respect.

>Imperials are britbongs
Actually they're the HRE. Used to be a lot more Roman influenced, but has with time become a collection of semi autonomous states (Colovia, West Weald, Nibenay, Heartlands) with a medieval theme. Divided Cyrodil becomes a battleground for the surrounding nations, but united it becomes a powerhouse that projects power across Tamriel

shut up nigger

I HATE YOU. I hate you for trivializing one of the best races in Tamriel. even if you are an IRL incel racist can't you differentiate that magic lightsaber jedis arent black ppl from our real world?? now i'll go reeeeeeee somewhere else thanks for letting me vent.

>n-word
Did you mean NIGGER? Are you a racist? It's not okay to call someone a NIGGER, NIGGER is a bad word! Take your NIGGERS and leave, good sir!

Dissapointing desu.

I had better be able to eviscerate Knife ears soon!

Attached: 1539977079053.jpg (155x115, 11K)

Imperials ARENT Britbongs, They were and always were Romans and Byzantines, The Empire in Skyrim's 4e201 its on the same situation as The Eastern and Western Empire After Marcus Aurelius and Justinian died.

The Imperials doesn't have Spanish Inbred Hapsburg Emperors

I am 99% certain they will make it impossible to mod or always online or something to make modding impossible and force people to use creation club

Attached: todd.png (669x899, 80K)

>The Imperials doesn't have Spanish Inbred Hapsburg Emperors
You sure about that?

Attached: maxresdefault (6).jpg (1280x720, 122K)

Sadly this. It's dead jim.

My last hope for Bethesda was when they announced FO4, and I was hoping they would have learned from their errors in FO3 and took a few pages from the work Obsidian did with NV. But instead, all they did was double-down on all the dumbest shit in FO3 while completely ignoring everything that NV got right. That was when I realized they're never going to listen to feedback, they're never going to improve, they're just going to continue focusing on ways to automate production via randomly generated bullshit and radiant quests and DIY settlements.

Watch TES6 have some bullshit story about Hammerfell recovering from war and strife, and it's up to you, the HAMMERBORN, to REBUILD the province!

It's called Redfall, it's literally confirmed to be Hammerfell by that name alone.

Attached: 1561902562614.png (500x358, 701K)

It will be a different continent.

the real question is whether it'll also include sections of high rock or not.

It will be set in Skyrim again but 100 years in the future

You will never live to see a TES game set in Atmora or Akavir and TES VI will be more "streamlined" than Skyrim/FO4.

Attached: 1526011738181.jpg (737x691, 57K)

Y'all objectively wrong. Altmer aren't fucking jews, that's a shit /pol/ meme.

Altmer = Asian/jap
Bosmer = native american
Orc = nomadic/mongol
Argonian = south american tribes
Breton = celtic/early medieval western europe
Imperial = roman empire
nords = nords
redguard = arab/moorish mix
Dark elves = I admittedly can't remember the correct real life influence for dark elves

Attached: 41221231.jpg (1792x768, 674K)

If anything but a 7, you have to buy my game.

Attached: 1539037821504.png (170x216, 66K)

I would lol so hard if it had the dialogue system from FO4 including the 3 person camera stuff and voiced protagonist.

Those would be interesting settings, but I really don't think that should ever happen, at least not until we've fully explored Tamriel in the main series first.
Until then, it's sort of like when people want a fallout game set outside america.

All i want to do is murder elves but elves arent people so it isnt murder. q.q.

Attached: 1539979776350.jpg (525x438, 58K)

Dumner = Indian

orcs literally did nothing wrong

I guess. Reminder that TES set in Valenwood will never happen because Todd would never figure out how to animate and integrate notEnt walking trees into his game OR we'll get a generic fantasy map and the trees will be another translation error like when Cyrodiil was supposed to be a lush rainforest and turned out to be Generic European Countryside instead.

>Kek
That was bethesda's ineptitude with facegen modeling since it was the 1st time, mainly if you compare with the Trailer and Intro cinematic.
Thankfully its easy to model it nowadays.

Redguard Daggerfall
its simple user

But here's the thing. Hammerfell is already outside of the empire, but the name redfall implies the possibility of the fall of the empire as a plot line.

As High Rock is still in the empire (as of skyrim), including it & Hammerfell in one game called Redfall would make sense... or this is how I rationalise that name to cover both regions, instead of them just calling it "hammerfell".

Attached: taaupaaaxhu01.jpg (2560x1440, 1.25M)

>I would lol so hard if it had the dialogue system from FO4 including the 3 person camera stuff and voiced protagonist.
Have you played Skyrim recently? Fallout 4's dialogue system was actually a stark improvement over that garbage, and was only a regression from New Vegas.

Seriously, 90% of the conversations in Skyrim give you two options at best, and both of them are usually fucking retarded.

Wtf, Valenwood, summerset, and the beast provinces are way more exotic

Honestly Hammerfell would be a lot more interesting as a location than Skyrim with its endless rocks and snow

>can't remember the correct real life influence for dark elves
All of the names of Ashlanders, caves and other wilderness locations are named based on Assyrian words and names. But I don't know what the civilized dunmer might be.

They better not do another lengthy time skip so far in the future that the entire plot with the thalmor gets swept under the rug

Attached: no, just upset.jpg (385x339, 41K)

The Hist are one of the most interesting parts of the lore. Transdimensional computer-tree hiveminds

Valenwood would never happen because Zenimax board would never give money to make them buy a New Graphics and Physics engine, plus the fact that They NEED to make it work on the FUCKING Playstation Architecture.

and said thing alone FUCKED with skyrim's development on every other platform

>Redguard
>Daggerfall
If anything the title implies High Rock since it's only references the Redguard as a race and High Rock directly.
It's almost definitely High Rock + Hammerfell or will have something to do with the Redguard (sword singers probably) and be set in High Rock.

This is what the race war will look like.
Highrock will be at war with Hammerfell. The Empire will have something to say about it. They are located between the countries on that small island. Orcs are fighting against Nords at Orsinium, an orc town built at nordic ruins. The kajheet are fighting with the Argonians over control of the pirate syndicate at Hews Bay. The Woodelves at Cespar, Highelves at The Chain and Dark elves at Stros Mkai are arguing about what to do with Herne where the Dwemer are. The Dwemer wants to kill everyone to stop the wars. The Daedra hates the Dwemer because they want everyone to keep fighting.

lmao good one user

Todd's new game design philosophy is to have a "spotlight" on certain aspects. In Skyrim it was Dragons, the voice,& Werewolves. In fo4 it was power armor, voiced protagonist/companions with stories/cinematic cutscenes, and settlements. What would the new spotlight feature be?

Go play Skyrim right now.

>Oh hey, those people are fighting a Giant
>Hey, faggot. We're the Companions and we kill shit
>OH GOD PLEASE LET ME JOIN YOU, LET ME SUCK YOUR TOES
>lmao who cares, killing shit is for gaylords

Dynamic cross world p2p interactions
AKA
The Elder Souls: Insert Region

This. It's going to be online garbage, because as much as people fucking hated F76, Bethesdon't literally won't fund the game if they can't get "reoccurring transactions" from people. The point won't be to make a good game, the objective will be to make a game that can hook people on enough nostalgia and a decent-enough gameplay loops. Expect something like Nu-Assasin's Creed, but first person and mechanically broken, whilst probably having a god-awful art style, numb, basic attributes enough to barely classify it as an "RPG", and an utter squandering of any setting potential.

Probably sword-singing as at least one aspect

Kino map design

Go play Fallout 4 right now.

>Oh hey, those people are fighting a Giant
>Hey, faggot. We're the Niggahood of Terrible Writing
>OH GOD PLEASE LET ME JOIN YOU, LET ME SUCK YOUR TOES

And he hated how Voiced protag KILLED the RPG part of it, but then you can attribute 90% of all FO4 vanilla's fault into Emil Alone, since the DLC's were handed by Todd and all of them had more mechanics and skill tests than Fo4 vanilla.

>000

they are isolated isolated japs you fool.

Attached: 1539879190156.jpg (472x535, 192K)

But that's wrong, and I can tell you that because I played Fallout 4 literally hours ago. Excluding the Radiant garbage which people usually cherrypick (not that it's good for that to be like that), your dialogue options are usually

>Question
>Sarcastic/Medium
>Agreeable
>Frustrated/Anger

Skyrim's dialogue is fucking garbage, and there's a reason people say the Dragonborn is a fucking clueless moron - because that's how the dialogue sets the character up in both writing and the limited options.

Nords are literal niggers

The Valenwood trees no longer walk as per Skyrim lore.

Cyrodiil jungle is still a thing, Tiber Septim just "retconned" it to change in both the past and future. You can visit jungle cyrodiil briefly in ESO.

That stuff is always superficial. The real goal of Godd Howard is to move forever onward in the process of automation. Each game becomes more automated than the last.
For example, oblivion has completely hand-crafted quests. Then skyrim introduces some radiant quests. Then in fallout 4 the radiant quests become a larger portion of the game. then in FO76 the game is basically one giant radiant quest sandbox.
Same goes with towns. Oblivion has normal RPG towns. Skyrim has smaller towns and introduces house building in hearthfire. Then FO4 basically gets rid of all major towns except 1, and replaces it with settlement building. Then FO76 has no towns/NPCs at all, and is 100% exclusively settlement building.

It's easy to see where their trends go. And they get a load of bad feedback each time, but they just keep pushing forward. Todd's goal is to reach the point where the games create themselves. Radiant worlds with player-built settlements with generic randomly-generated NPCs doing radiant quests with your friends in multiplayer on bethesda.net.

>Morrowind to Oblivion: 4 years
>Oblivion to Skyrim: 5 years
It's now been 8 years since Skyrim, what is the problem?

You're right that skyrim's dialogue is garbage, but at least it wasn't in-your-face about how terrible it is. The problem with FO4's is that you can't even just ignore it and gloss over it, since they went all cinematic memefaggotry with the voiced protagonist. And that's on top of the fact that having a voiced protagonist at all completely fucks with roleplaying because it means there's only 1 (or 2, because husband or wife) characters you can ever be, rather than RPing whatever you want.

this all sounds very plausible. how recently after the last dragon break? will this game also end in one?

Fallout shite and scope creep. The stakes for Bethesda have never been higher.

user play as a nord and kill them all if it means that much to you. see how far you get in the story by killing all redguards.

As long as there is a developed Argonian companion who I can gay marry then I will happily pirate whatever Todd puts out.

Morrowind and Oblivion were huge successes for their time, but Skyrim was the blockbuster cultural phenomenon. And also retards kept buying rereleases of the game, which just allowed Bethesda to get away with not making another.

Skyrim's map is more varied then Morrowind's. Skype kept the snow in the north-east of the province. Morrowind's map is 70% ashland.

The forced narrative of being a pre-war citizen isn't really the fault of the voiced MC.

Voiced dialogue CAN work, but you need multiple VAs. And lord knows that's fucking expensive. Only "modern" game I can even think of that did it was Saints Row 3/4, and that's because dialogue was limited.

Sorry Pelinal but the Empire is going to fall.

Men will ultimately prevail and the Altmer will (once again) fail in their objectives, but the empire as we know it is 100% going down. Men will scrape a victory when all hope seems lost thanks to the player and his anime sword nuke abilities he/she learns in Hammerfell.

>Skyrim's map is more varied then Morrowind's.
Its been a while since I played either but when I think of Skyrim now I just think grey, brown, and white, its just kinda dull design wise.

The issue is more complex than that. Yes, if exponentially more effort is put in, SOME of the issues can be alleviated. Somewhat.

But the overall problem is that giving the PC a voice is inherently giving him a personality that might not be what you envision for your character. It's just not a good fit for a game series like TES (or Fallout). It only works well when it's a game where you're playing a more set-in-stone predetermined character, like with Geralt or JC Denton or Jensen or Shepard. It doesn't work for blank slate protagonists.

>redguard = arab/moorish mix

Wrong faggot. For the majority of the series, Redguards have mostly been based on African, Afro-Caribbean, and African american culture mixed in with some Japanese stuff. The little bit of middle eastern aesthetic that's there is mostly been architecture in nature and with the look of certain remote tribes that live out in the Alik'r dessert.

Unfortunately, most modern TES fans have only played skyrim and assume the alik'r warriors seen in that game is a representation of the average Redguard. Well, it isn't. For example, a fetish for curved swords weren't even a thing with Redguard until Skyrim came along.

Hopefully, if Todd has some sense, he makes it clear in the next TES game that the Redguards are a African Fantasy Race similar to wakandans and other depictions of black people in afro-fantasy/afro-futurism lit work. It doesn't make sense to me why Nords, Bretons, and Imperials can be based heavily on all their real world counter parts but the black people of TES can't. The curved sword fetish depicted in TES online has to go, they're fucking up the Redguard lore with this corny arab shit they've pushing since skyrim.

Lol. There is literally no way 6's protagonist can out bullshit LDB. LDB can literally bend the minds of gods and has esoteric knowledge of the Wheel and Anu.

p-please buy my games

seething /pol/cuck

I've been replaying skyrim recently. It's actually more varied than I remember. The different holds all have fairly distinct biomes while still all fitting into the overall theme of skyrim. Falkreath being dense forest, whiterun being plains, morthal being a swamp, eastmarch being volcanic geysers and springs, etc.

>But the overall problem is that giving the PC a voice is inherently giving him a personality that might not be what you envision for your character.

This

It's especially egregious with the Female VA, where you pick what seems like a rather mundane option and then it sounds like she's bawling her eyes out or becomes extra fucking hissy.

not sure what you're trying to say there? why would 6s protag be fighting the LDB, are you implying the LDB will somehow be sided with the Thalmors goals?

I'm guessing bethesda will just write the LDB out of the picture, send him east or something and hasn't been heard from.

Attached: SweetRoll.png (595x592, 536K)

It is never gonna happen but i'd like to see the LDB ascend the Imperial throne, the emps is dead and they are possibly the most powerful being in Tameriel.

It's why I could never play femshep in any of the mass effect games. maleshep just sounds natural in his role. Hale's femshep always just sounds cringey like she's constantly trying to compensate for not having a penis

That would be cool, but it'll never happen because it would be too hard to explain how the founder of the latest imperial dynasty's race is unknown. Unless they decide instead to go against tradition and pick a canon race for a player character, which I don't see happening.

They do tend to be vague about it but usually it is just whatever character they use for advertisements, as much as it is supposed to be your dude i think it is kinda just accepted that the LBD is a Nord, the HoK is an Imperial(Now Sheogorath) and the Neraverine is Dunmer.

lore wise they could well make it so the dragonborn led the empire between the events of skyrim and TES VI, and his death/assassination or whatever is what led to the ultimate collapse of the empire, with The Dominion now launching a full throttle invasion to try and gain control of all of Tamriel.

> as much as it is supposed to be your dude i think it is kinda just accepted that the LBD is a Nord, the HoK is an Imperial(Now Sheogorath) and the Neraverine is Dunmer.
None of those are actually canon though. Just assumptions. Also technically Sheogorath's NPC in Skyrim is a breton, but that doesn't actually matter. No matter what the hero of kvatch's race, you just slowly morph into Sheo over time

Attached: sheogorath zoom.jpg (800x720, 94K)

How would it be any different from shouting?

But they wouldn't, these characters are blank slates, they can't just decide their future like that, not every dragonborn would want to get involved with politics and all that shit. With something like oblivion I don't think the player character had a choice when they became sheogorath, with morrowind the nerevarine leaving for akavir is nothing more than a rumor.

True, either way i am looking forward to what kinda plot they got going on for ES6, probably nothing spectacular but we can live in hope.

probably wouldn't be lol

>muh diverse region
who gives a fuck. wow you have beaches and forests and deserts and mountains. wow thats surely a good replacement for an actual interesting fantasy setting.

Black Marsh would be tight.

You ever read the argonian account? They let themselves get eaten by miles-long worms and then go inside air bubbles inside of it and then get shit out of the other side. That's how they travel.

I'm saying TES6's protag isn't going to solve the Thalmor problem when LDB isn't slated to and by the end of Dragonborn LDB is the strongest a single mortal can be without going into metaphysical shit.

How are you enjoying fallout 4? How do you keep yourself entertained? I couldn’t continue once I reached the institute and was floored by the lack of any interesting NPCs or dialogue.

Something bizarre and interesting like that would be great but its never gonna get made by a big studio

If the combat is going to remain the same "click to slash and click harder to slash harder" type of deal then it's still going to be a bad game. Especially if it's in Hammerfell, centered around the race that's focused on swordsmanship.

Black Marsh would be cool, but it'll never happen in a million years, and if it somehow did happen, they'd completely fuck it up and not do it justice at all.

>they'd fuck it up and not do it justice at all

Welcome to every TES game since Morrowind.

You see those warriors from Skyrim? They've got straight swords.
S t r a i g h t . S w o r d s .

Or the fall of the redguards.

Sorry but your point is irrelevant. Some cunt literally sunk an entire continent the size of Tamriel using sword singing, and yet you think the TES VI protag couldn't play a big role in stopping the Thalmor with that kind of ability just because "TLB isn't slated to"? lol.

Attached: 4OZj4Uv.jpg (1200x750, 347K)

I mean you could just have worm holes instead of carraiges right?

>Another chosen one Protagonist with voice-based godlike powers

They can't do this..... Right? It would be too predictable.

Sword Singing is a lost art among Redguards just like the Thu'um is a lost art among Nords. Last Dragonborn can bend any will on Tamriel to his/her bidding and has consumed numerous dragon souls. Sinking a continent centuries ago is not impressive given the metaphysical implications of LDB.

No user, you see, it's anime sword abilities instead of shout abilities. You'll press the same button but it's totally different!

Attached: 3SMuBPB.jpg (1920x1080, 159K)

Those settings are only interesting because they're intentionally vague. They'd be very boring to play in.

it will be the entire continent of Tamriel

This is bethesda we're talking about. They'll always pick the most bland by-the-numbers approach in every circumstance.

>LDB can literally bend the minds of gods and has esoteric knowledge of the Wheel and Anu.
What ?

You seem to think Bethesda care about your fanfic thoughts on power level comparisons. They don't.

If Bethesda want a sword singing protagonist to stop the Thalmor from undoing creation in TES VI, then that's exactly what they'll do. And lore wise, it's objectively powerful enough to play the role, how that person compares to the TLD is irrelevant.

Bend Will Shout let's you command dragons which are shards of Akatosh (god), one of the Black Books mentions the Godhead (Anu)

>Perfect square
How unrealistic

Let's be honest here. High Rock and Bretons have the most boring lore. Why would anyone want to actually revisit it knowing that Bethesda will water it down even more?

Everything Bugthesda/Zenimax will do at this point, will likely and unironically be lower quality and more homogenized in gameplay and content. They are basing all of their open world "RPG" games off the shitty Oblivion design.

imagine WANTING to play an elder scrolls game in 2019...

High Rock is interesting. It's just that it's the most "RPG" of the settings. In the sense that it's a place where there'd need to be a lot of emphasis on speechcraft and game-of-thrones-style political intrigue and manipulation and quests revolving around that sort of thing.

Which is precisely the exact opposite direction bethesda has been going in with their games, where now it's all about "get quest from X NPC to clear out Y generic bandit cave and collect Z loot". If that's the sort of thing they're going to be doing with their quests (and we have no reason to believe they won't) then High Rock is an utter waste.

Reminder that Daggerfall unity got another huge update this last weekend and is projected to be 100% finished by August.

god i cannot wait i will be playing this in anticipation for the ES 6

Which NPCs in Skyrim will be mention in 6?

Serana

Please for the love of god give me old meets new design. Wilderness is huge and procedural, major cities and important places are hand crafted.

Lydia

if todd makes Redfall even remotely similar to Daggerfall in terms of gameplay and exploration i will forgive all past sins for his shitty fallout online garbage.

>Fallout 3, Zimmer finding a synth
>Skyrim, Kematu finding a redguard chick
So the group behind that Kematu guy's will be the big bad in VI?

Attached: Dr_Zimmer.jpg (242x173, 7K)

Each new Bethesda game to come out was more streamlined that the previous one.
And since Bethesda doesn't understand what streamlining means they think it's a good excuse to cut variety and complexity in game to save on development costs.
Picture a branch from a tree. I can 'streamline' it until it become a usable rod, but then if I keep on streamlining it'll end up becoming an arrow shaft, then a toothpick.

Elsweyr. Quote me on it. That latest ESO chapter is a testbed. All the different kinds of khajiit are finally represented, minus digitigrade.

Attached: tsdcoluec008134249-300x450.jpg (297x410, 39K)

That's only the half of it. The issue with Bethesda isn't just streamlining. It's also their focus on automating development of games. Things like focusing on settlement building and radiant quests so they don't have to bother designing actual towns and real quests. Level scaling and randomized loot so they don't have to bother with creating real difficulty curves. Their goal is to get to the point where they can just have a game that creates itself.

You might actually be on to something, that redguard girl was a princess or something, right? I wouldn't be surprised if it played some part in the plot, assuming it is in Hammerfell.

Bethesda """""""""creativity""""""""""""

I don't want to disappoint all of you discussing the possible connections to Skyrim but I think Bethesda will do another 50-100 years in the future so as to remain free of doing what they want aka bland bullshit.

Low cost, low quality but if enough normies exist to buy the product, it will be worth the investment for them. Zenimax is a parasite.

IIRC they consulted id for the shooting in 4, and while not great it's fucking leagues ahead of the slop we had in 3/NV. Maybe they'll do the same with Arkane and TES VI will have something that's at least better than the Minecraft-tier shit we have now.

Akavir.

I just really want spears/polearms to come back, guys
