My first console was a GBA Advance SP and my first (and still favorite) game was Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga.

You had the excitement of technology, think of flipphones and snake on nokia phones, early stage of social media like myspace, online multiplayer like battlefield 2, etc. But without the ubiquitous nature of it. While that is true there is definitely a difference in how those skills are perceived by people in their 20s vs 30s. For some reason kids view "big" vocabularies as pompous or try hard.
